In 2007 the BBC’s Mark Urban was “embedded” with a platoon of soldiers in one of Baghdad’s most violent areas.
Ten years later he tracked down four of the men from the unit.
What effect did the war have on them?

The lens correction filter tool in photoshop should help sort out the distortions. Or puppet warp tool to straighten.

Skylne buidings look like originally taken from a relatively low res image simply expanded
When searching Google Images say for 'city 360 skyline panorama'  make sure you go to 'Tools' > 'Size' > 'Large'
and you can find pcs like this of NY  -which even though it has a sunset / sunrise warm colour cast could be a starting point with some proceessing to make more neutral.

Like minefields, AA units can't be everywhere and was used to protect what was considered worth it or on known routes (as applicable for heavy & med bombers)
When reading about Paradrops like D-Day and prior at Bruneval Raid they avoided flying overs major towns to avoid unnecessary losses as they had more concentrated AA.
Airborne daytime drop losses to AA could be heavy as happened later in Holland and Operation Varsity. And heck Invasion of crete

I had remarkable opportunity to talk to a Lancaster navigator many years ago. For them spotlights were a real threat as they were tied into the sighting and plotting of the flak. If a Lancaster got lit up they immediately changed course and altitude. I mention this after watching wicky's video link above where it was not a factor for American crews on daylight raids.
Digressing further, but this gentleman showed my father and I has flight logs, he would flip to a couple entries and well some pretty hairy stories.

26th of June during counter-battery fire ajustment, Ukrainian UAV spotted Russian EW stations Torn-MDM and R-330Zh Zhytel, covered under mask net in Mayorove village (old name Krasnyi Oktiabr) approx in 10 km form frontline and Ukrainain position in Hranitne. From the range of 14 km, the single 2S1 has opened fire, having targeting via UAV  and crowdfund-developed fire control system "Kropyva". The second shell hit deirectly. SP-howitzer fired 11 shells, most of them hit target area. Torn-MDM was destroyed, R-330 probably damaged. These stations usually work as pair. Torn makes express-analysys of frequencies and signal emmition sourses direction finding on the range 30-70 km and R-330Zh after it makes final type of sygnal determaination and supress it on the range 20-25 km
Torn can be identified by small square superstructure on the van - it is clear seen even under camo net.

Maybe RU will follow Musk with the use of simple stainless steel with his Starship rocket able to handle reentry temps instead of expensive & complicated composites.
I'm more experienced with papermache composites
TOP SECRET - PROJECT DODO :-)   UK Drone research project similar to the Russian Owl
Its stealth is purely psychological based on the fact it doesn't exist therefore it can't be seen...

Odd as I thought the imported Toray composites were exclusively for use for a civilian airliners' wings not for using to tool up on military projects...
Still, can't Elabuga fill the gap - or AliExpress 😉

Working on refining and sorting out a bug is not what @Thewood1 is talking about. There are bugs in the game. Players report them and testers try to narrow things down to get them fixed. The case of the running the wrong way from fire in the bocage is a bug. At not time did anyone say different. They said we were having trouble nailing it down so it could get fixed - very different.
I believe that @Thewood1 is referring to players that report bugs that aren't bugs and cause a lot of churn. Or find actual bug or perceived bug and declare the game irretrievably broken. Or who demand a detailed explanation of how some aspect of the game works as if the lack of that information prevents enjoyment or proves there is a bug - or something I don't really get that desire.
I am sure that if I have that wrong @Thewood1 will correct me. He is not shy aobut that. Regardless that is how I am interpreting these discussions.
@PIATpunk, congratulations on your contribution. Yeah, I'm serious that is a very helpful contribution. Thank you.

really?  The thread you're probably referring to now has a repeatable example of the bug, using Elvis's supplied scenario.

REPRODUCIBLE BUG - file attached  for @BFCElvis and other interested parties
So I replaced part of Elvis's test file low hedgerow with tall hedgerow.
8 out of 8 replays later, there were dead Germans in front of the hedgerows, having charged through the tall hedgerow gaps by the end of the first turn.
I hope others will see what I am seeing!

I must admit to being confused. What do you guys want? What is really the problem? A large part of threads like this seem to be based around a story of something happening and the a long thread of speculation and complaints. The majority of the time no reliable evidence is shown that the event is common in any way. Heck half the time I'm not convinced it even did happen for the reasons people give.
Am I reading these posts correctly? Do you want BFC to officially comment on why a particular event happened? Do you want a detailed explanation of how the inner workings are calculating this stuff. Do you think there should be a fix to something?
And more importantly how is our inability to grok the inner workings of the game in any way a road block to enjoying it?
We should go play the game - you guys and me. Or investigate actual reportable bugs - me
