  1. I can't find this anywhere else, sorry if I missed it... I had a US ATG being pulled by a truck, when I dropped the gun it dropped into a building? Now I can't remove it or deploy it? Anyone else seen this?
  2. Combat experienced tanker here..... I am NOT gonna even try to change a track under fire.
  3. Silly.... Have you read any WW2 stories or AARs? There is no reason a crew can't set up a gun then leave it. They can go hunker down in a trench. Once the barrage is over run over to the gun and start plugging away.. completely historical.
  4. Abandoned tanks/guns SHOULD be allowed to be re-maned.... Think "Audie Murphy". I have read many books where tank leaders with blown or immobilized tanks abandon their tank and take a tank from a green crew. THIS SHOULD be allowed. Firing at tanks with small arms is stupid and breaks the game. You can try to use "realism gymnastics" to explain this away but you are wrong and it needs to be fixed. Being allowed to target next unit or cycle through possible targets needs to be added. Ammo sharing for mtr and mmg needs to be tweaked. I can't get anyone other then an "official" support team to carry ammo to a mtr that needs it. Why cant a HQ or rifle squad jump on the truck, acquire ammo, get off and then go share?
  5. Target Next Unit Being able to use any unit that goes into a truck to carry ammo to a mtr or mg... (maybe they can but I can't figure this out)

  10. LoL, ya and 911 was all his fault too! You liberals crack me up with your anti-bush babble. I wonder who are you going to blame in the next 4 years? Nevermind, I am sure GW will still git blamed, or maybe Sarah Palin? LOL He may of made a lot of enemies but he sure as heck didn't mind protecting American interest regardless of what "the world" thought. I was proud to call him Commander in Chief.
  11. Your not the only one feeling safe with this new president in office, I can think of countless terrorist who probably feel much safer now that GW has stepped off the scene. The world only respects our military and might, do you really think they care one bit about diplomacy or how politically correct our new leaders can be? I mean they guy doesn't even now what directives he is signing. He had to ask his "Castro" lawyer about Gitmo right in the middle of a press conference. Reminds me of Mel Brooks in Blazing Saddles. :-( I started digging my bunker in the back 40' yesterday.
  12. THE SWASTIKA The Swastika is a well-know good-luck symbol from India. Unfortunately, it is too well known in the west, as the Nazis chose it as their main symbol. In Sanskrit, swastika means "conducive to well-being". In the Buddhist tradition, the swastika symbolizes the feet or footprints of the Buddha and is often used to mark the beginning of texts. Modern Tibetan Buddhism uses it as a clothing decoration. With the spread of Buddhism, it has passed into the iconography of China and Japan where it has been used to denote plurality, abundance, prosperity and long life. (In India, Hindus use the swastika to mark the opening pages of account books, thresholds, doors, and offerings, the right-hand swastika is a solar symbol and the left-hand version represents Kali and magic. Among the Jains it is the emblem of their seventh Tirthankara. Other uses of the symbol: in ancient Mesopotamia it was a favourite symbol on coinage, In Scandinavia it was the symbol for the god Thor's hammer. In early Christian art it was called the gammadion cross because it was made of four gammas. It is also found in Mayan and Navajo art.)
  13. Lived in Korea about 5 years... They love it, Spam is a treat! They have a meal, an exspensive meal, called Boodae-chegae, which is basically spicy cabbage soup with Spam in it! Translates to "base-soup". Goes back to the war when everyone was starving, American GI's would toss unwanted Spam to the Koreans who made this soup.
  14. Sorry, I didn't mean to re-open that can.. I just blurted out my thoughts.
  15. That is not realistic either... RT is no more "realistic" then WEGO.
  16. I'd like to see more independent thought given to units in WEGO games. This is represented in allowing the player to micro-manage units with experience and value. Just pretend that the player is acting as the brain of these units and allowing them to make battlefield decisions. There should be some limits to this but over all I think in an abstract way it works out great. Units with low moral, poor value (conscripts, green) should only be allowed to be given changes in orders if they are in command range, have the appropriate moral, or with huge delays. There should also always be a self-preservation trigger (like in the board-game Ambush!) that will not allow the player to order those units if in curtain circumstances. Unless they are fanatic or elite. Radios and commanders: Unless a unit is radio controlled or in command range of a commander, they should never be allowed to be given new orders. Their self-preservation mode should kick in and they should follow that script.
  17. I can't stand RT. It all comes down to who is best at the mouse. I find myself getting lost on the map and missing key parts of the battle. I love the 1 min movies and they are the reason I have been hooked in Cm since BO. I tried ToW and hated it. I love the graphics and such but it wasn't for me. I'd love 30 sec. movie option as well.
