  1. Hey, Been awhile but I have reinstalled the game and am looking for a battle.... I'll play either side... Email me joesteadman AT gmail DOT com
  2. I like his idea as well, It only makes since that the longer you research something the greater the odds are that you will get it. Maybe a small % increase each turn.... Would there be a way to script that?
  3. Powerful Subs? I have a problem just getting them out to sea without getting sunk?
  4. Thanks,,,, I am still having a hard time vers the Air power... Also, if Cherborg falls the best result I can get as the Germans is an Allied minor victory... Any advice there PLEASE
  5. I agree.. Air is too powerful..... Try playing the D-Day battle as the Germans vers. a Human! HA! Even the AI is devastating with the Mighty Air. I think making AA able to target all Air would help but I would also make AA have unlimited firing per turn.. Sure, bring multiple waves of air... but I get a shot at each one.... and add a critical hit chance at 5% or something....
  6. How come when I edit a scenario it changes all the terrain when I save it? I am tweaking the D-Day battle that came with WaW an every time I try to Save AS.... it saves but it changes 90% of the boucage to mountains?
  7. I take that back.... How come when I edit a scenario it changes all the terrain when I save it?
  8. I am a bit confused.... I bought SC2 and WaW.. They are separate games right? SC2 most recent version is 1.08 WaW is version 1.0 Somone please clarify this for me... I am lost? I have only been playing WaW since I got it... why bother with SC2? Honestly what are the main differences?
  9. Thoughts from a newbie.... on the scenario 1. First off the fighter-bombers are WAY to powerful. Completely destroying a 8+ strength entrenched panzer in the bocage in one shot!? 2. IMO The AA should get to fire more then once per turn. 3. Geezzz do the allies get enough air-power? With no "night" the Germans just get blown off the map by the billions of planes... 4. USA troops ships landing behind Cherbourg or right into it? Has anyone ever won this as the Germans? if so... how?
  10. Thanks,,,, DUH, on my part... it will help once I get the manuel...
  11. Here is a total newbie question.... HOW do I invade (declare war) a country? I took Poland, now i want to go for France but I want to go through the Lowlands...??? I can't seem to be able to figure it out.. Please help the new "old" guy out.
  12. I am a die-hard "cardboard pusher" but have never tried a PC version of a boardgames... I love Combat Mission... but this will be new for me
  13. I am ordering the game soon (day or two).. wish me luck... I think I am gonna pass on the expansion for now. Once I get to know the game I will most likely get the expansion. OR Should I just get both and learn the all at once? What is the learning curve? Treadhead
  14. I served in a 8 inch artty unit (michigan national guard) back in 91 then went active in 92 and moved into tanks (19K). Trust me, the two are nothing alike. The 8 inch was like being decked in the face each time it went off. Ever shot off full charge? It blew me right off the piece the first time, all the older guys knew to hold on, not me! It picked all the dirt and dust off the ground for 50 yards around and made it float for a few seconds. Pulling the lanyard is a trip! The M1A1 is like being punched in the chest if your on top if it or near it out side. The percussion is deep and takes your breath away. I use to love engaging targets while hanging out of the TC's hatch. I imagine that WW2 tanks are a mixture of the two. Not as high volicity as the M1 but less of a charge then the 8 inch. JMO
