  1. Both. Am confused the re the former and maybe something amiss with the latter. I will retest to check. Am playing a lot of CMBS currently for MOS so finding a few things I never noticed b4.
  2. Am not 100% sure, but I think that in CMBS all US Army inf have the M25 CDTE and Strykers have its 25mm ammo. The squad ammo says HEDP and Therm. The Stryker ammo says ABHE and Therm.
  3. Not a lot of people realize what a big CM fan he was.
  4. Some of the best scenarios in CM1 were with the early light tanks like Pz II. Miss the early war in CM2.
  5. I find your designs wonderful. But, you (and all other serious designers) may want to ask MOS to take a look at the innovative stuff he is doing with his TOC scenario (Beta testing right now). It breathes new life into CM2. Am certain it will give you some ideas/inspirations.

  10. I got almost 20GB mods in my CMBN folder alone. Not looking for more. But, when I see or hear something good, I use it. The real problem is getting rid of masses of old, unused mods. Figuring which ones to send to my "unused mods" folder is a full-time job that I don't want (or do). That's another reason I would love to start fresh with CM3.
  11. +1 I already mentioned to MOS that his concepts would be brilliant for CMSF as the larger maps and more open terrain make mobility in an insurgent environment critically important and revitalize this sort of CM2 game. Would look forward to a campaign version. (Actually, MOS's new concepts would greatly enliven any of the titles.) Onto Beta 5 next. The scenario gets better and better!

  13. I like the crispness of the other sounds. I just think I have better MG42 sounds. Will send to you if you give your e-mail.
  14. I like most of the sounds. But I wonder if your MG42 is a MG34 or maybe a MG42 on slow fire. I have several MG42 files that make the BRRRP zipper sound rather than the ratatatat of yours. If you are interested... Also, these will work with the other WW2 game families? (Sometimes sound mods don't work. My quiet bird sounds BG wav I use for my WW2 games doesn't seem to work in CMBS for some reason.)

  16. I have a US Army squad in a Stryker. The Stryker shows 25mm ABHE and 25mm Therm available (in addition to 40x46mm). But the squad has 25mm HEDP and 25mm Therm. When they try to ACQUIRE 25mm ABHE it seem to add to the 40x46mm loadout.

MOS's new design for a CMBS TOC scenario (see CMBS forums) finally approaches giving us a virtual operational layer to CM2 with "real time INTEL" requiring players to adjust plans and allocate assets and resources on the fly. After so many years of playing CM2 all scenarios started to feel the same to me. So, MOS's innovative ideas are very welcome and have revived my passion for playing CMBS. Hope that other designers are inspired to use his brilliant ideas in the other game families to get more out of the CM2 system.
  20. The issue is that none of the teams of the inf squad have a CLU. AFAIK there is no launcher available in the dump. I merely had the squad ACQUIRE 1 Javelin and then tried splitting the squad into various team combinations. In all cases, the least appropriate team would keep the Javelin (eg: the 2-man scout team would carry the Jav, but not the AT team). Am presuming that this should be easily replicable. If we are getting dysregulated over this, let me know. No need for anhedonia.
  21. The nice thing about T-70's (at least according to my CM1 data window) is that it has a heavily armored front turret and is almost invulnerable when hull-down to most early war Axis tanks. Not sure if that reflect RL at the time. But, am having a great time with doing just that with em in a huge CM1 tourney scenario am playing H2H. CM1 also has em moving quite fast. So, maybe some realism issues there.
