  1. There are many on the cd. Try "Danube Blues", "Kalinin Raid" or Viennese Waltz" for great balanced fighting. jw
  2. FYI - Hornet's Nest was designed as 2 player or Axis versus AI. You have a good point, the "Best Played As" should be annotated on the briefings. jw
  3. The book "The Last 100 Days" is the best scenario idea book I have ever seen. jw
  4. I have a laptop with a Radeon 9000 and it works like a charm. Beautiful. jw
  5. Has everyone seen the new and improved Boots & Tracks web site? Individual pages for each scenario, cool articles, bio pages for some of your favorite scenario designers, constant updates with new playtested scenarios for all... If you haven't seen it, come on over and explore! http://www.militarygameronline.com/boots_tracks/ jw

  7. Downloaded the map and just started a 5000 point May 1945 QB with my favorite opponent. Used the import map feature in the QB setup. This will be a blast!!! jw Scenario depot URL is: http://ns9.super-hosts.com/~dragonlair.net/combatmission/
  8. Good points by all and a good topic of discussion. My 2 cents on the matter are that playtesters or members of a specific design house should not fill out a complete review on their own group's products. I think it runs the risk of crossing the line of promotion and into self adulation. I used to rate everyone's scenarios, (B&T's included) until Wild Bill and SuperTed gently reminded me of the above. After thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that they were right and I have not reviewed a scenario from one of B&T's designers since. However I think a zeroed out review provides a great opportunity for a playtester to provide comments about the scenario, and in the future I will make a point of writing up zeroed 'reviews' for any scenarios from my own design group. I will of course continue to review and pan Berli and Andreas' scenarios, just because...... (kidding...sheesh) [ October 18, 2002, 08:01 PM: Message edited by: jwxspoon ]
  9. Boys I am currently playtesting some of these, and all I can say is "WoW!" jw
  10. I have a P4 2.8 laptop with the Radeon 9000. CMBB looks and runs awesome. jw
  11. Indeed. The older I get the more I find myself to be a 1 pbem turn a night guy. jw
  12. Well lets just say the wwb has some strange fetishes, and Rune and his scenarios figure prominently in them.
  13. Michael I too like to play things that have reviews, but few people seem to be reviewing right now. Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? jw
  14. If I were to bump my own thread, would that be bad? Hmm.
  15. The Boots & Tracks Scenario Design Team has struck again! Come and get em, gents! Three, count em, THREE new scenarios from the evil master, Rune.
