  1. I hope to have a CMMOS version available sometime today. At present, however, I'm having a few problems getting a ruleset to display a restore default icon. The new CMMOS version will still be archived with WinAce simply because it reduces files to half the size WinZip does (in this case 10mb vs 20mb).
  2. I will attempt to do this today if I can work out how it's done. Any advice from someone who has created a CMMOS file would be appreciated.
  3. You need to download a program called WinAce (it's like winzip) and decompress the .ace file. A quick search on Google will find it for you.
  4. Ever wanted to recreate the final battle at the Reichstag in Berlin? Well with some artistic license and this mod, now you can. The files you need can be found at the Combat Mission Modification Database (cozog). This mod is not for the faint hearted. It's a large file (10mb) and a bit of a pain to install and uninstall. Due to in-game restrictions it replaces many of the tall buildings with Reichstag files and so needs to be uninstalled when you want to play a different scenario. But at the moment it's the only way to play the battle until new building models are included in some future patch (subtle hint to Battlefront ). Enjoy! IronX
  5. For those who like their trenches wide, I've increased the width of the zig-zag trench. Depending on the placement of your squad, all three characters are likely (but not always) to fit in. You can grab it nyha.
  6. Okay, I've got a bit of time today to tinker some more with the images. I'll try and widen the zig-zag trench and see what I can do with the craters too. Thanks for the feedback.
  7. Experimented a little more with the trench tile to give it a better "3-D" feel. This mod pack contains four different trench types; some work better than others. You can grab the mod here. Enjoy
  8. One of my T-34/85s was racing down a sloping road when it received a fatal hit. Its momentum allowed it to continue for some distance before it eventually careened off the road and ran straight into a house leaving only half the tank visible. The owner was an old Babushka who rushed out of the ruins and started attacking the dazed survivors with her broom. It just amazes me how true to life this game can be.
  9. Under what circumstances will your troops target enemy troops beyond their set cover arc? This happened to me recently when my squad decided to target an enemy squad in a house about thirty meters or so beyond their set arc. Should this happen?
  10. Why not try running a strategic (read operational) game from something like the Art of War that gives a detailed list of units within a major formation that can then be transposed into a CMBB battle when two opposing major formations clash? Every turn in your operational game could potentially result in many tactical (CMBB) games.
  11. Crikey! He's even playing with the historically correct German objective flags!
  12. I just played a QB set in 43 where a 57mm gun disable one Tiger (gun hit) and took out another (side turret hit). Must admit I was pretty amazed, but there you go.
  13. Looks nice. You might want to crop the mission details from your images though, for the sake of those who have yet to play the scenario.
