  3. Thanks. Just curious. Got the impression that there would be no further development on TC and the community wasn't really that upset with moving to the new game.
  4. Yeah, I think there was a post that expressly stated it would not be included in any modules but would have to wait until the release of a new game, e.g. "bulge" title.
  5. I had a couple of the Take Command series I haven't played in several years, and your post piqued my interest. SoW looks quite similar. I went over to the TC forum quickly and it doesn't look like there has been any development since TC2 and the membership is migrating to SoW. Is there a background story there?
  6. My late stepson loved the first SC game. I piddled around with it a few. I remember he was pretty hyped up about whatever the second game was going to be.
  7. HoI 1 & II were completely engrossing for about a week as you figured it out. After you win the big campaign a couple times, its easy to put it down and forget. HoI III looks like the same engine, undoubtedly polished more, but I'd be surprised if it played any differently.

  11. Panzer Corps must be a fantastic gaming engine to run away with the votes so far and look as crappy as it does in that trailer.
  12. That is the Campaign Series. The unit of maneuver is the platoon. The similarities to the Panzer Campaign series is pretty apparent. PzC is a few years' more development, but they play about the same.
  13. I'd thought earlier after viewing a short portion of that clip that CM models and textures look better, on the whole. I do like the buildings in that clip, though.
  14. Had a squad near an enemy mortar which had only a ? as to that squad's intel. The mortar began firing and the squad immediately went to ground cowering. The round landed right next to them. No other unit firing on them.
  15. Same. Just different strokes. A company with attached units is about as much as I care to micromanage.
  16. Why don't you play the demo on your new machine then figure out if you like it?
  17. Had that happen in a scenario once. Playing iron level where Germans surrendered to platoon on one side of the road. Squad from a different platoon came running from the other side of the road and shot the germans standing in the road with their hands up.
  18. The grided grass is an option in some grass folder I think. It may be in the Aris HD Grass mod.
  19. Pretty much my take. I'd earlier hoped we might get a surprise this weekend, but releasing the vids quahsed that.
  20. CM1fan: You don't *see* any indication that 2 and 3 are extracting, but they are. All you have to do is extract part 1. Don't fool with 2 / 3.
  21. The CW product page has SS and LW identified as being included.
