  1. I bought one of these type tables a couple years back. It's perfect for gaming in a lounge chair, on a sofa, or even in bed. There's plenty of room for a keyboard and mouse with some extra space if you need it. It works great and has a very small footprint. Mord.
  2. LOL. Yeah, sorry, I am a perpetual 12-year-old. On a finer note we should get a little closer after the next RT module. The next base game will actually be the first in the series to jump backward in time. I am wondering how they will approach that. May 44-Jan 44? Then to 43? Or 43 first. Any way I am looking forward to the earlier war kit for both sides. Mord.
  3. Ah, I must've missed that part but I do remember him saying something about boundaries in the third video when the Italians broke and were fleeing into the woods. In my defense I was laying in bed, half asleep, mesmerized and lullaby-ed by the Oscar worthy tour de force that was the voice performance. SLIM should probably turn the in-game sound off in the next video, so the Emmy award winning voice acting doesn't overshadow his tutorial. It's not fair to him or his viewers when a Tony award winning star is bigger than the content actually being presented. For all the Brits reading this, replace everything with a BAFTA, a mention of knighthood, and the Royal Albert Hall. Mord.
  4. I watched the Street Appendixes? Appendici? Appendicies? last night, and I gotta say, the voice acting was AMAZING! I do have one criticism though, and it drove me nuts the whole time I watched. Why didn't you have the guys run around the back of the first building on the right, up to the second building and enter through the back, instead of trying to run them up the street then cross over to that second building? Other than that, cool video, AND awesome voice acting! Did I mention that already? BTW, who kept knocking on the door? Mord.
  5. You've obviously never met my proctologist. They don't call him "Dr. Velvet Thumbs" for nothing. Mord.
  6. The thread title alone just makes me smile. Mord.
  7. You are very welcome. I didn't even know the Repos could be accessed until last week. I thought it was closed. A lot of the mods there still haven't made their way to CMMODs. The ones I linked to are drop in the bucket compared to all the German vehicles that have been released in the games but they should be enough to get you started. @MIKEYD! Hey Mikey, do you have any plain German skins sitting around you never released? Mord.
  8. @SchnelleMeyer: I don't know if this topic is still relevant, but here are some forgotten assets that may come in handy, and save lots of time. Mord.
  9. Excellent, glad it worked. It's one of those things that is so cryptic it is surprising that it was ever figured out. Just explain to her that the responsibilities of war are much more important than TV shows. That should work... Mord.
  10. How do I uninstall this POS? EDITED: Never mind, I figured it out. Luckily, it doesn't effect your exe. or at least it doesn't seem like it does. Mord.
  11. Did you try the fix I posted? It worked for me. Mord.
  12. Yeah, I am gonna bow out of this fellas. Thanks. Mord.
  13. Sorry, was away. I responded. Mord.
  14. The only thing I remember in CM1 was units misidentifying vehicles, which would come up as a completely gray blocky generic tank etc. with a question mark on them. Far as I remember once something was spotted everyone on your side knew where it was, regardless of where they were on the map, which made the survivability of AT guns about all of three seconds. Mord.
  15. And along comes a 40's Building Grog. Nice, Mikey! Mord.
  16. That is the texture. A 40's Building Grog might be able to explain. It appears to be some kind of siding. Mord.
  17. Yeah, once those dudes get really big, it's impossible for them to read, let alone answer comments. The dude has over 2000 comments on that vid alone, so I don't blame him. But if everyone spams him maybe it'll get through. Mord.
  18. No, a guy named "Mildly Amusing" wrote it 11 months ago, as a response to the video. I remember now, I figured if the Military History guy hadn't replied after 11 months, it wasn't worth bothering. It doesn't look like he replies to anything. But maybe you can get him to. Mord.
  19. Digital DL for Elements 2018 on Amazon, is 69 bucks. Apparently it went on sale because last time I looked it was 99. Neither is very much money, this time last year I could've bought it in a second but right now I am out of work and living off my savings and can't justify the expenditure. Life is feast or famine. I feasted these last two years but had no time, now I have time but gotta go on a diet. LOL. Mord.
  20. HA! That was my first guess, NH, but your location threw me off! The storm back on the 28th knocking out our power 3 1/2 days set me back. And then this cold front came sweeping in, all caught me off guard. I thought I had a little longer. LOL. Thinking gets me in trouble 90% of the time. Mord.
  21. I only discovered him a few weeks back while looking for homemade history documentaries (which seem to be a nice little genre on Youtube). I think I didn't reply because this guy had: Mildly Amusing (11 months ago): "One game series that does "fog of war" quite well is Combat Mission. Basically, in the higher difficulties, you must always maintain the chain of command between your units, so the squad leaders stay in contact with the platoon HQ, platoon to company, and so on. This can be line of sight for hand signals, speaking/shouting range, radio contact etc. If the chain is broken, you will lose command and even sight on the smaller part of the chain until you re-establish contact. The chain of command also works for spotting enemy units, so if your front line scout spots an enemy tank, the game first has to simulate that information being passed back up through the chain of command for the rest of your units to be able to see it as well, and that information often gets distorted the further it has to travel. Eg, scout sees a light armoured car, passes info back to his platoon, by the time 2nd platoon hears about this they think its a heavy tank that is 300m away from the actual position, and they would continue to think that until either better links in the chain are established (eg radio contact instead of vague hand signals) or they move up and get line of sight of the enemy themselves." Though there is plenty more that can be added on other aspects of CM, which you briefly touched on. Mord.
  22. That's funny, I actually watched that video a few weeks ago and my first thoughts were how CM covered a lot of his points. Mord.
  23. He might have a blocked IP, maybe? Mord.
