What are the benefits of moving to 64bit for the game overall? Mord.

Looks like Battleground. I despised Spam when I was a kid and still do. My mother went in the hospital when I was 6 for what seemed like a year and ALL my father could cook was beans, Spam, and fried baloney. I used to pass my beans off to my brother when ever I could get away with it. Beans, Spam and fried baloney haven't gone in my gut since 1975. Mord.

Hence the reason I couldn't believe some of the initial b**ching about the upgrade system—no more waiting ten years to see new features. CMRT will be just as cool five years from now...actually even cooler! Mord.

That's just it though, it's a REMAKE so they could extend the storyline. And we the players and scenario designers are the ones really writing the history, every battle created and played adds to the milieu. Don't get me wrong I'd like them to keep the original starting date just extend it further out. There's a lot of room for expansion if one used Afghanistan and Iraq as a measuring stick. Mord.

I really don't see how it could be done for single player what with having to have orders for the enemy forces. How do you set up order plans for a map that hasn't been invented until it's invented? Mord.

That was one of the points I made in the buried post...A-Stan and Iraq are proof enough it wouldn't be an in and out deal...so a few years at least! Mord.

Yeah, I know, we have a similar thread but this one is strictly for the Syria setting and all that that would entail. For terrain I am hoping for more and varied palm varieties. Mainly these; Here's one US vehicle I'd like to see added. Add some more...I am just trying to get the drool fest kicked off. Mord.

We can hope. I asked some questions in another thread but they got buried. Be nice to see some other equipment added to the nations already involved as well. I am hoping they'll expand the time frame maybe out to like 2 years or more instead of 3 months. Mord.

So, my "Steve, How Close Are We?" thread played no part? WTF? I worked REALLY hard on that you know! Mord.

One of my first posts all the way back in 2000 was about a CM Vietnam game...therefore I should get one! On a serious note I don't think it'd be a failure at all. How many people told us CMSF was gonna be a complete failure and would ruin BFC? There's guys out there now, 7 years later, still talking about how BFC has failed and is going out of business. I call them the 7-year-circle-jerk. 20 years from now when Steve and Charles retire they'll say "See! I told you they'd go out of business!" What we really need is for a group or groups of guys to put together a team/teams and approach BFC about doing some of these other wars. Kinda like Snowball did with A-Stan. CM is the engine and play style with the potential to tackle them better than any other game system out there. Nam is my wargaming Nirvana! Don't piss on my Nirvana! Mord.

This has been brought up many times, so you aren't alone. My guess is we'll see it at some point, probably when they update the animations. Mord.

I love the exotic stuff. I approach the different armies with an open mind and all that new gear/kit is very interesting and exciting to me. To me, ignoring the Hungarians or Romanians would be no different than someone ignoring a game set in Russia because they are US/Brit/CW centric/minded—it's a missed opportunity for knowledge and new horizons. As for something being put off; why would it have to be an either or choice? People that aren't into Red Storm could say the Bulge is being put off because of it, but really our choices are expanding. the Hungarians/Romanians/Finns or whoever don't have to be their own module/pack, each one could be sandwiched into a bigger release or theme. Why limit ourselves if we have a choice not to? Anyway, count me in as wanting to see as many nations and equipment as possible. Mord.

A lot of the base CMBN game vehicles do this (at least with the US) but it doesn't seem to happen much, if at all, with the CW stuff. There is even an CW equipment BMP so I never understood why. Mord.
