  2. Yes Please! This is an evil, evil scenario . So much nervous tension here. It really helped having a mature opponent though - the suspension of disbelief was complete. The Blitzkreg rolled right at me, (and eventually through me!) in true 32 bit colour. For me it was all about sweat, swearing and eventually sreaming! The armoured wedge that hit my lines was quality, skillfully and elegantly handled Wald. I'll email you the last file as soon as I get it. Who designed it btw? </font>
  3. Hmmm you have me thinking... What we tried to do in the Luga tourney was have interconnected small scenarios for players to play. I really want to see how CMC works out to see if we can do something similar but better with CMC. Hmmmm I am hoping Kip and Andreas will get themselves on the beta team PDQ so we can have a better idea on what can be done. H P.s. Londoner did you want the next scenario in the tourney?
  4. Hi, in the context you have posted the maximum number really makes no difference. I have yet to swing by the ROW thread but just thinking out aloud if you wanted a CMC tourney you would engineer several engagements where force preservation was essential. These forces could then be passed between each game. In a tourney context you would still only have two players in each campaign? You would have multiple instances of that campaign. You would also then have a Russian and a German winner as you would have to enforce player sides. I.e. Russian for all games or German for all games? H
  5. Hi will the maps remember damage done to them? I.e. Church get blown up? This is seriously going to help those players who want to take their gaming to the next level. I am really looking forward to this a weekend gaming events where you get some mates together and can play a proper campaign. H

  8. Hit nail on the head for me. I am trying to keep an open mind but this aspect of the game concerns me. In some ways it is silly as I quite happily play WW2 and watch tanks blow up with little thought at times to what that really means. A modern day game would not have that seperation and it would hit home more. For example if I set a Roadside Bomb to nail the opponent I am not sure how I would feel seeing the troops tumble from the A/c with fire licking their clothes. Hmmmm not good.. I will wait and see but I have worries that I won't be able to seperate the reality of what is currently happening to that in the "game" and after reading the AAR above on Real Life tactics if it simulates those problems it will be a great training aid, but maybe not a game that everyone can stomach? H

  10. KF if you need a backup player I now have the time to play and will gladly take any no hope situation so you can get the scores. You know where I am. H
  11. Ultimately 1 minute is not enough. (As in real Life for HE / MG fire) Did you spread the locations throughout the building? I.e. four different spots? Also bear in mind that the building is a representation of a real building and flames gooing through one window will only hurt those in the room that the window opens into. Internal walls do a great job of stopping flames. No houses I know will go up in flame after 1 minute. Especially stone built buildings. I have had the same problems and it is real fun when your German squads are mown down with SMG fire. H
  12. Will the new engine allow smoke to drift across the battlefield? How about mist over rivers obscuring assualts over river in early morning scenarios? H

  14. Andreas won't have time to Beta test... So Soaping is of no avail, also it will be an end to Big boobie graphics... As I hear he will be pretty busy from the weekend of the 9th September.... Under the thumb... H

  16. This thread has become the equivalent of watching men show off their sports cars to the passing girls on the broadwalk. Some of the men are driving Austin Martins while others seem to think they have more than what they have, i.e. they are driving Skoda's. Welcome to Battlefront Geekdom Yawn..... H

  19. Hi Brent et al Thanks for the feed back and I am really glad you all enjoyed it. This came out of an idea for a weekend face to face with some UK CMers which did not happen and I am glad it did not go to waste. I need to pull together the feed back for the designers and should do that this weekend. There may be more, but perhaps not until later this year or when I get back from Australia / New Zealand early next year. The idea to get something with a quick turnaround was a success, and linking the games (campaign idea) seemed to work. The designers did a great job and if you want something sooner if anyone out there wants to run it I can give some help on how best to go about it. Get in touch. H
