I know darn well, that however many years ago I played BN, that my Sherman tanks back then would allow infantry riders on the hulls. If I'm right, then why won't they now?

What I was trying to do is determine is if there is one game that has the best overall graphics. I was trying some demo's out and noticed that the games looked quite a bit better than what my CMBN game does so figured maybe the newer ones were actually smoother and clearer looking.

My opinion for what it's worth. I was going to buy RT in the next couple of weeks but now that there is a question of how accurate the research and stats on the Russian tanks are I have decided to hold off and buy another more accurate one like FB or FI.

Of all the WWII games like FI, RT, FB and BN which would be the most updated engine wise and graphic wise?

I too would be interested in fighting the Japanese but yeah not much armor I suppose. Since the research would be lots less maybe if the price of the game was in proportion to the research, it would pay off - profit wise I mean. They did of course have some armor, trucks etc. Right?

It would to me. I personally enjoy looking at each and every soldier or vehicle each and every game so it does add a lot to the game for me. It's called game candy and to some of us appearance is everything. Never said I was normal.

After a 12 year absent I purchased CMBN to get back into Battlefront. That's beside the point but wanted to get that information out before my question. I decided to buy another game and thought I'd buy RT but then after realizing that half the fun of these games was switching out mods I thought I should see which of the games were more likely to provide the most fun to me as far as modding goes. So any thoughts on which game that might be?

Any game you have in mind to mod first? Just curious.

I am glad you guys like my choice. It does appear to be an interesting and kinda different game but I see myself fighting over what side the enemy is. If you get where I'm coming from.

I have tried both the BS and SF and decided that I am just a WWII kinda guy. I do appreciate the comments, advice and recommendation but like everybody knows and mentioned numerous times from various members, a person has just got to decide his passion and go with it and for me that is WWII. Going with RT.

Well guys I think I have decided. I am personally shocked because I never thought this would be even a consideration, but Black Sea is right this second what I am very close to buying. Cold war is next and is the only thing keeping me from BS. I figure I can always go back to FB if the modern games don't interest me as much.

Well for one thing the US infantry have heavy enough weaponry that they can operate effectively on foot and be a threat to even the heaviest armour. This means that if it were US forces in place of the Russians for the first mission of Crossing the Dnieper, if the US had an armoured force of Bradleys and Abrams, you could dismount the infantry from Bradleys and have the infantry operate separately, with the Bradleys being an overwatch element and the infantry being an assault element. That was very interesting Please go on.

I am always impressed and so happy that there are individuals like yourself that take on a huge task like what you've taken on here. My hat goes off to you and I can only say thank you and I know many many more agree with me.
