  1. Well, it's only been 11 months since I started this topic and finally today purchased a game. Cold War. Pretty excited and yes sometimes I just go crazy and rush into things.
  2. Thanks Womble. I just got through reading up on that subject and you are correct. It's a subject best left to others to know and understand.
  3. I fully agree - to a point. I recently purchased a recent extremely popular game on Steam and had to request they take it back, which they did, because of while the gameplay was much improved over its other titles the graphics were such that I just hated it and refuse to play it. It was so cartoonish it's like it was designed for little children. Too cutie to suite me. Was very impressed Steam would do that for a customer. Impressive.
  4. Thanks I'll have to take a look cause I could never suffer through the graphics of NA today. Hope maybe BF will upgrade it sometime - soon.
  5. Thanks for the reply, Blazing. I got a kick out of looking at those references you provided. I guess I had forgotten what the graphics looked like back then. Funny to see now a days after the giant improvements to games we'd experienced. I actually laughed out loud. After seeing that yeah I'll just wait for them to upgrade before wanting to play anything that looks like that.
  6. I bought NA years and years ago and would like to play it again. I miss playing the early war years with inferior equipment and tanks, yeah weird I know but anyway, can one still buy it?
  7. I am trying to understand what the main difference there are between the engines for example engine 3 or engine 4? In plain English please.
  8. Ah, thanks gentlemen. Now to go get my new game. I know what I'll be doing for this winter?
  9. I was wondering if the more modern newer games like SF2 maybe required a manual of their own or so all old and new games use the same manual.
  10. Is my year-old manual Version 4.00 the most current? Also as I will be purchasing SF2 I was wondering if this or any game for that matter requires anything other than my version 4.00 manual?
  11. I will search for them and thanks for some directions. Didn't really know which way to go but got some idea now.
  12. I have been thinking lately since coming back to CM that I might be interested in trying my hand at moding if that is what it is called. Anyway, to determine if it's something I'd like to do I would appreciate any information, comments, opinions, or advice. I have seen people encourage others to do something even though that person hasn't a chance of succeeding for one reason or another so let's not do that here please. This will just be a hobby and I'm not in a hurry to be fantastic at it. It'll just be for fun. I am a firm believer that being blunt at times is good so feel free with your opinions. To give you an idea of how inexperienced I am here is a question or two. First off what software would one use. Would it be an expensive hobby and also what kind of learning curve is there. Another couple of questions that probably will give more insight on how ignorant I am about the subject is where do you find the BMP skins for vehicles and or uniforms. Are they in the " Normandy v403 folder? If so, I assume I would RezExplode that folder and the various BMP's would appear to pick and choose what I wanted to mod?
  13. Yeah, I forget sometimes that there are those out there that just screw up everything for everybody else.
  14. Thanks for that ASL. That is probably why I'm having problems with it not being under the three dots when I've looked. Wished it was longer than what it currently is though as many times I don't notice a misspell or misused word until checking on a post some hours or some cases days later. Rules are rules however and now that I know I'll slow down and pay more attention. Yeah, probably not. My fingers move so fast and my brain not so much these days.
  15. I think I've only seen one time on one post of mine where I had the opportunity to edit a post. Why is that?
  16. Whew! It was tough but I managed to listen/watch the entire video. It could have been cut in half if all the off the wall stuff hadn't been included but anyway it was extremely interesting and telling if of course any of it were true. I am willing to think that if even a quarter of it true that would change my opinion of that tank, but I have always wondered how anything Russian built could have been so awesome to begin with.
  17. Yes, strictly that video but I assume it was accurate and that is why my comment. I mean the reason I play these games by Battlefront is I know that stats and specs are as accurate as possible. That is where I get my interest and loyalty and enjoyment from this company and if not, accurate it lessens my interest in them.
  18. You may have a point there Kohlenklau. I suppose everybody is right about that option not ever being in BN. I did have several games back then so probably just not thinking correctly. Thanks though for the answers.
  19. I wish I could say I do but I don't. Sorry. I see your name, your picture circle thing but no signature.
