  1. I am trying to decide which game to buy between Normandy and Italy and thought I'd ask those of you that have played both. I'm thinking Italy as I believe it's the newer of the two but newest doesn't necessarily mean the best I suppose. Would like details as to why you are recommending one over the other if you would be so kind. Thanks in advance.
  2. Thanks so much you two for helping me getting the game to play. I was so bummed getting this game and not being able to play it like a lot of others I'm sure but it's playing now thanks to you two. Man! I am as excited as one can get. Man!!! I solved my inverted problem by shutting off the pivot feature of my monitor not that I ever pivoted it anyway so no lost at all plus installed the new Nvidia drivers and now the game plays fine. Well at least until the big patch comes out but no big deal I can wait like everybody else. Funny though, this card is only about 2 months old so you would have thought that they would have installed the most up todate drivers available but guess not. I'll have to mention that to them next time I go in - the creeps. Hehe. Anyway thanks so much for allowing me some personal attention in resolving my problem. Love you guys. I don't really love you like you know my wife or anything but you know. Like a guy kind of love. Did I mention I'm married. Yeah, well OK then. Thanks so much again. What a great day.
  3. ALRIGHT! My problem is solved!!! I can play the game now. Thanks so much Wolfseven and MadMatt. Thanks to you guys I got my inverted problem solved and installed new drivers and now the game is working. What a treat!! Funny though I just got my new GeForce card about one month ago so you would have thought it would have the newest drivers in it. Guess not. Anyway thanks you two. I will post this in another thread incase you two never come back to this one cause I want you to know how much I appreciate the individual help.
  4. Hey thanks Madmatt but the game, well I should say the movie is not inverted just the desk top that appears before the movie starts then after the movie ends and the selection screen appears that is then froze. It's not inverted though. I just can't click on anything like single player or options or even quit, it's froze solid. But no the select screen is not inverted. I have to Ctrl+Alt+delete to get back to my desk top which is still inverted until I reboot.
  5. Hey again Wolfseven. Good to hear that it should be working and yes I did see the other post but could not for the life of me figure out how to get to the nvidea setting. I tried every combination I knew to find it but with my extremely limits knowledge couldn't. If it's not too much trouble can you direct me please?
  6. Thanks Wolfseven. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. Here's what I know. It's a PentiumĀ®4 CPU, 3.00 Ghz, 2.99 Ghz, 1.00 GB of Ram. It's a e-GeForce 7600 GS card. I don't where I can find the other things you mentioned. Does this help at all?
  7. Having a little problem here and don't know enough about computers to determine if this problem has been encountered before or not. Can't understand 3/4's of the time what you guys are even talking about but anyway when trying to play the demo the movie comes on but when that ends and the selection screen comes up where you select Single player etc it's just froze. I can't click on anything so I'm forced to ctr+Alt+delete to get out of it and then everything is turned up side down like the windows window and my roller ball mouses cursor works ass backwards. This same thing was happening when I tried playing off the DVD I got in yesterday thinking it was the DVD but no it's both. Any thoughts or help?

  10. I haven't received the game yet so no experience with how realistic it is or not but after reading this thread thought I'd perform a test in CMBB just to see. The PZIVC's actually fared a lot worst then the IIIJ's did. I tried starting the test with all T34's head on to the German tanks and then all exposing thier sides and then lastly their rears. The III's won the battles overall except when the 34's were head to head. Then a different story but notice that even then there were knocked out 34's so the III's could kill a 34 at 50 to 70 meters head on - at least in CMBB.
  11. God I hope you guys are all just a bunch of cry babies but I'm afraid there are too many complaining for that to be the case. Bummer with a capital B! What a terrible let down after all these years waiting.
  12. I'm 59 years old and no it's not just a foreign thing although it's taken time. 33 years to be exact. I've tried other war games but they just don't interest me like the games Battlefront has put out so I've really been biting my time for this one. Happy days are here again although I'll probably still continue to play CMBB. Maybe.
  13. This is the one I've been waiting for these past long years. Man, it's been awhile! Congrats guys and thanks. Really looking forward to seeing this baby.
  14. Thanks. This will work. I just want to change these two things only so I am set now. Appreciate it.
  15. OK, if nobody is going to answer my post about the availabitity of a list of terrain BMP's could somebody just give me the BMP's for soft ground and marsh? Please?
  16. Hey MikeyD I just noticed your Stug111F mod and went and downloaded it. It looks great and now that I know you've redone them I'll be using them all. Great improvement over the one's I had. Thanks.
  17. I am looking for the above. Anybody know where or even if such a thing exists?
  18. Very nice job. I am pretty much happy with the game as is but those terrain mods would certainly be something I'd use. It really spices up the game when you can change the terrain around every so often. Nice job.
  19. Imagine all that fuss over a little old game like CMAK. Joking aside you guys and the game deserve it and there's no question about that. Good for you guys.
  20. WOW! Nice stuff Andrew. I love them. Man, you do know how to make mods look real. Great stuff and as usual thanks for you time and work. They will look superb in the game.
  21. Nice Gordon very nice. You do do very nice work and thanks. I love it.
  22. How about if there was already a Monte Cassino at The Proving Grounds? Yeah, that's right I just played it this past weekend and have to say it was extremely good and enjoyable. Here's the link to get to it. http://www.the-proving-grounds.com/ The designer by the way is Mamluke256. [ January 09, 2004, 01:18 PM: Message edited by: lcm1947 ]
  23. Great idea Pheasant Plucker and thanks. This will look better in the desert and give that out in the middle of hell feeling that I bet they got.
  24. No, Pazertruppe it didn't offend me in the least I completely understood and saw the humor in your post. No problem whats so ever I can assure you. And Redwolf no "sorry" is needed. A good point. Some might believe that and truth be known it wasn't all that long ago that I actually thought that myself. so no you weren't impolite in the least. Now again you went way and I mean way over my head so since I'll be taking my computer in to get this larger and faster hard drive like I mentioned I have printed your comments out and will show them to my computer guy and see if he can check all that out for me. Again, thanks to all for the help. You guys are great. Thanks.
