  3. No, it was the terrain for Space Lobsters of Doom. The new question when screen shots are posted will be, "whose stars are you using?"

I think the first game should feature a theater/theme popular enough that it doesn't have to be marketed to grogs only, but at the same time it shouldn't be a game that I will want to spend most of my future CM time playing. The first release should be a sort of demo of what CMx2 is capable of. If the capabilities of the new engine are going to be more fully exploited with each release I would rather BFC hold off on the really poplular themes until they are ready to exploit the engine to its fullest. To clarify my point, CM:BO is arguably the most popular theater of the CMx1 titles, but I'm sure most of us wish BFC would have gone back to update CM:BO to take advantage of the new developments in CM:BB and CM:AK. I don't want the first CMx2 release to be the game that I will want to play the most if the engine is not yet ready for prime time.

  12. We should be able to order the movie on DVD from BFC for a nominal fee.
  13. Changes I'd like to see: 1. During set up troops are deployed in some formation instead of strung out along the edge of the map. Same goes for reinforcements. 2. Distinguish between damaged/destroyed and abandoned crew served weapons or bunkers so that crews who abaondon can go back to their positions once they recover morale if their weapon is still useable. 3. Ability to fire into blind areas such as smoke or into trees even without LOS. Mortars can fire BVR at night. 4. Vehicles provide cover for troops. 5. Working wristwatches on every soldier.   14. He's talling about what kind of round is actually loaded into the gun, not the types and quanitities of rounds carried in the tank. I think the AI should continue to handle this.

  16. No, it's a planetary based game. It's called Combat Mission 2: Star Wars. BFC has got some new kid named Lupus or Lucas or something helping them with it.
