  1. Have you tried individually emailing the people who played in that tournament Sergio? Regards Jim R.
  2. Gawd, they look even more like a heap of ****e in real life than they do in the game! Regards Jim R.
  3. While we're on the subject of incorrect files, isn't there a stuff-up with the sound files when it comes to the Vickers MG? It seems to me the game is using the sound files for the Browning 30 cal. MG whenever the Vickers fires. Surely the 2 different MG's didn't sound all that alike did they? Regards Jim R.
  4. Editing your last post isn't going to cut the mustard John. You need to post afresh to get the proper bump action and save all the rest of us lazy bastards from bothering to post. Regards Jim R.

  7. Yes, the Yanks did the right thing with the Auld Mug, why not Ol' Blightey? Poor sportsmanship in my book. Regards Jim R.
  8. Nope, in the open on the brow of a hill. As I say, I was very pleasantly surprised. Regards Jim R.
  9. Interesting discussion this. Suprisingly enough I've had a contrary experience in CMAK where less than 23 150mm artillery shells basically caused the rout of a platoon and a halfs worth of generally veteran German Rifle squads from their reasonably extensive trenchworks. I was fairly surprised (and pleased) at the outcome as it allowed me to renew my attempt to take the position with my few remaining troops. I may have been lucky perhaps by killing their leader early in the piece at a guess but it still turned out to be very effective. Regards Jim R. 10. Make sure your HQ is in some form of cover before "unhiding" him. If you're doing it while he's in the open your HQ will be spotted for sure. I know there's not much cover in that scenario but rocky terrain or brush should do the job if you're careful in sneaking your HQ to its spot. Regards Jim R.
  11. I'm begining to question the effectiveness of Molotovs as well. In the earlier example I gave in this thread I think my knocking out of a Pz III was one of those "one in a thousand" hits where it actually worked. Subsequently in the same battle I've had Molotovs achieve "Top penetration" hits on stationery halftracks and yet do bugger all including having absolutely no effect on the passengers. I would have thought a bottle of volatile liquid exploding in the fighting compartment of an open topped halftrack (presumably what a top penetration represents) would casue significant problems for such a seemingly vulnerable vehicle to this type of attack. There apperas to be a disconnect in the game between what a Molotov should do in real life compared with what it does do in game. As others have said, it's an anti-AFV hinderance to a squad so equipped rather than a help. Regards Jim R.
  12. Been watching too much Kath & Kim methinks. I gather it's a huge hit in N.Z. where it's commonly regarding as depicting a "typical" family. Regards Jim R.
  13. What I found interesting from the Russian Battlefield site was the reference to Tiger I's which allegedly had better penetration ability against IS 2's than the Panther. This is definitely not the case in CMBB. Also, they mention that because of the almost square dimensions of the Tiger it significantly aided its manoeuverability. I'd never heard this hypothesis before but I guess it kind of makes sense and I do recall from American reports that they were always jealous of how well the Tiger I was able to negotiate tricky terrain compared with their own tank fleet. 14. Disheartening news I must say. Thanks for taking the trouble to test it. Regards Jim R.

  22. Fascinating stuff Jon with that old thread. It appears the spigot mortar was an early version of the redoubtable PIAT. When was this again? Mid to late 1942? Regards Jim R.
  23. I hadn't noticed this. On the face of it this would seem to be a case of false advetising, by implication at least. If one advertises a product that allows specific matchups to occur then shouldn't it deliver? Just my bleedin' obvious observation, that's all. Regards Jim R.
  24. If you're playing CMAK then the air support definitely will turn up but it's simply a question of when. This was changed from CMBO where air cover sometimes wouldn't rock up at all. It's entirely random when your fighter bomber will arrive and any opponents air support has absolutely no affect on your own arriving. What can affect it though are your opponents AA weapons which can either shoot it down or chase it away due to the level of Flak cover (if applicable). Regards Jim R.
