  1. Were they doing the chicken dance while they ran around in the open? Regards Jim R.
  2. How about mentioning that their highly favoured rugby team hadn't made it to the World Cup final.....again! Regards Jim R.
  3. Michael, I believe he's the naturally shy type. Regards Jim R.

  5. S.O., I read it the other way that some combat unit in Afghanistan may have come across a cache of old 3 inch mortar ammo. for an antiquated British 3 inch mortar that may have been used by the Taliban/Al Quaeda. Regards Jim R.

  7. Wasn't there a homosexual Italian with a bad haircut who conquered Gaul, and another gay one with a bad beard who conquered Scotland & Rumania? Luckily for the rest of the world, Italians discovered women are much more fun than creating empires, and we have been safe ever since! </font>
  8. In a nutshell Badger, v1.02 has a fairly major bug when it comes to infantry and AT guns placed in a defilade position behind a ridge or just behind the top of a hill i.e the equivalent of hull down for a tank. When said units were placed in these positions it turned out that direct fire guns couldn't actually hit them at all either firing too short or firing too high so that the shot would pass harmlessly overhead. You, in effect, had "untargetable" units when in such positions which direct fire units such as AFV's, AT guns etc. couldn't touch! Bottom line, what do you hate the worst, certain fortifications costing you casualty points in favour of your opponent or "untargetable" enemy infantry, guns etc. when in a perfect defilade position. Regards Jim R.
  9. Dale, I'm going from memory here from CMBO days but I seem to recall that it's to do with the fact that Engineers of various flavours are available in virtually all infantry pick options and the computer is simply picking the most common form of infantry unit for all categories. It's daft I know, but there it is. Regards Jim R.
  10. On a related note, the Allied halftracks for the Poms & Aussies etc. with a single MG have a graphic on the actual halftrack on the map of a 50cal. machinegun. I gather this should in fact be a 30cal. MG rather than the 50 calibre? Regards Jim R.
  11. Yes, enquiring minds want to know. If it's in a thread if you could possibly post a link to it that would be greatly appreciated. Regards Jim R.
  12. Arrrrgggghhhh!!! How dare you confuse "Aussies" with that drug addled, burnt out hospital case living in Beverley Hills. The ignominy! Regards Jim R.
  13. I just noticed your reply Mr T. My point as Vanir alluded to was whether BFC will fix the still existing problem in CMBB. I'm obviously hoping they will by releasing one further (and final) patch. Regards Jim R.
  14. Isn't that basically what I said in my immediate response to Mr Emrys initial post???? Regards Jim R.
  15. Ummm...I believe the proper telling of the joke has the opening line of "Why do Queenslanders call their beer XXXX" since it's a beer brewed in QLD. and pretty much only consumed up there thank god. Regards Jim R.
  16. I know what you're saying Michael but wouldn't it be reasonable to expect a patch to fix these incorrect appearance dates in CMAK which not only includes the Aussies but also the correct earlier appearance date of the Jerries? Regards Jim R.
  17. You'd have to pray the tank doesn't decide to change direction while he's under there. I'm guessing this particular method of destroying enemy AFV's was not particularly popular amongst the troops. Regards Jim R.
  18. Michael, I agree that the game engine doesn't alow for leading the target when firing H.E. but when firing AP at an AFV it definitely does as otherwise, how would it ever hit? Mind you, there is still a fair amount of abstraction going on even then as I'm sure you've seen numerous times an AFV being hit "moments" after it's already disappeared behind a building or some other structure and theoretically out of LOS. Regards Jim R.
  19. No disagreement from me there either. Both Boags and Cascade Premium are top notch with Crown Lager (despite not being Tasmanian) close behind. Regards Jim R.
  20. Thanks for that. That link worked a treat. I guess it must have been retained cookies that caused the problem. Regards Jim R.
  21. No matter how I try, either through my Favourites folder or via the Google search engine, I can't get access to The Scenario Depot. All I ever get is that damn standard white Windows screen saying error...could not find site etc, etc. Does anyone have any idea what has happened to this great source of scenario's? Is dragonlair still the site that hosts this fine addition to the Combat Mission gaming experience? Regards Jim R.
  22. I beg to differ. Coopers Pale Ale is the only beer worth its salt, just be sure to turn the stubbie upside down first before opening it to get all the greeblie bits properly mixed throughout the brew. In fact I'm quaffing one down right now. Ahhhhhhh....mothers milk that is. Regards Jim R.
  23. Hey....my email box was always open. Plus, you would have had the added benefit of hearing a proper "sophisticated" 'Stralian accent rather than any of those uncouth yobbo's on the east coast. Regards Jim R.
