Availability of CMBB Demo from other sources
GriffinCheng+ replied to kmead's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I sincerely hope BFC/BTS people will spread the demo to GamesDomain.com, Avault.com, or 3DFiles sites which are pretty fast for users from "other parts of the world" where ADSL or not does not make much difference. Regards. P.S. Don't send to GameSpy for they charge faster file d/l! -

Show me the Bandwidth! Show me the Bandwidth! Hope there won't be another "Refresh-to-death" syndrome again as in CMBO Gold Demo. -

RESULTS OF THE SO CAL PREVIEW
GriffinCheng+ replied to ACTOR's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Just admire how much fun you guys are having! Okay, serveral notes: 1. The list is just huge! My brain aches just by remembering all. I see there are a lot of improvements. Say entenchments: will your foot soldiers start digging-in automatically when they stay for a while? 2. Will there not be any CBB? 3. How will the duration of the "death clock" be determined? I guess I missed previous posts. 4. About vechicles entering "factory". I am not sure if I get it right. Is it possible to leave one "piece" of wall open so vechicles ma enter or the floor tile says it is a building so no vechicle can enter? 5. I guess we can still re-create some of the CMBO battle with lead-lease tanks. There won't be any bocage right? 6. How is the "operation" in CMBB, then? Thanks. Instead of childishly shouting "I want the game now!". I am now making a count-down note to Sept 20. I know I can wait and keep myself living up to at least a week after Sept 20. Regards. -
Another worthless poll: Who's buying CMBB?
GriffinCheng+ replied to LGMB's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Here is one. As soon as it is for sale. BTW, Sir, why don't you start another poll - "Who dares not buy CMBB?" Regards. -

It's Quiet.... Too Quiet
GriffinCheng+ replied to Panzer Leader's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Humm, previous track records say this kind of thread seldom generate official responses... Today is June 21, 2002 at this part of the world, we shall see. Oh, we are sure that CMBB are gonna release in 2002? -
Gotta be June 21st, the day when, back in 1941, Operation Barbarossa began. Just speculation. Just get it done BTS, I can wait. Fttb, I am busy with CMBO, etc.

Operation Bone Throw- Flank Attack!!!!!!!
GriffinCheng+ replied to Madmatt's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Pillar, Great read! Thanks. BTW, you mentioned, if I did not read it wrongly, there were German units breaching from the rear of your position. Can units now enter the map from different points or did I just make it wrongly? Also, you mentioned there are off-map units. Are they mentioned just for documentation purpose? Thanks! Can't wait for the full game. Griffin. -
Operation Bone Throw- Send in the Reserves!!!!
GriffinCheng+ replied to Madmatt's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Matt, Is this done behind-the-scene or in-game? Just curious. Excellent AAR! A couple of screenshots would be nice, though. -
Kursk Downloadable PDF?
GriffinCheng+ replied to Panzer Leader's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I just finished "Fighting the Russians in Winter: Three Case Studies". It is an enlightening read. It clears a lot of previous myths about "General Winter". Thanks for all the reply. -

Is there any other papers I should read related to CMBO and CMBB? TIA. -
This looks amazing, few questions....
GriffinCheng+ replied to Panzer_Meyer's topic in Strategic Command 1
Oh, as far as I am concerned, the supply rules comes first. Please don't feel offended but it sound a little "simplifed" to me. Can you elebrate how production and other "hardcore" factors would it be in or would it be close to "War in Russia"? But fun comes first! TIA. -
Common LisP? Hehe, why not write it upon AutoCAD? Now that's gonna be cool!
-
First, from the page, it is written by Fury Software, But is it using the "Eiffel" language? Sounds interesting! (sorry my software developer's blood had just jumped a degree) That does not look like Clash of Steel, or may be the graphics are so notched up. How hardcore is it gonna be? I see not railroad and I wonder how its supply rules work.
