  1. Check out the first pic... http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=90197 Do you see it? Between the middle trees......way out there... Is it a Tiger?
  2. There really is a Santa! FOW TRENCHES!!!!! Thank you Steve and all you guys at BF! I have known you guys for almost 10 years?!?!? You aim to please and you hit your mark. PS...if you need 31 people to test Normandy drop me a line!
  3. Yes nachinus I agree the terrain could be quite a bit better with some more curves. Roads and buildings and terrain without the "squared away" look is something that one day I look forward to.
  4. Like Slaphappy said, If you bake the scenario then you can get your boys to leave the bunkers but they will only follow your orders and not any AI plan after the orders are completed. You can give them a huge chain of orders though.
  5. Well there are, as you may know, several modules still to come with this engine. NATO, WWII, ect... I believe then there is also plans for CMSF2. This will be a new engine.....I think? I, for one, cannot believe you think this current engine is getting long in the tooth. CM1..... yeah...maybe but just take a look in the "this game is beautiful" or screenshot posts if graphics are your thing. Long in the tooth? No way. Now it does have a few quirks which, IMHO, need to be fixed but I am having WAyyyyyy to much fun with this game. To each their own...
  6. Canadians may have given us hockey...but the Red Wings OWN!
  7. Wow...finger on the trigger and everything. What a loser. Please tell me that you didnt take that pic.
  8. Oh Battlefront why have you forsaken us?!?!?!? Not even a pic?
  9. The hard part of using smoke is trying to fugure out how far it will go. The line says 20 meters but only the direction is accurate.
  10. That may be so but I can think of no other way to get javelins in the hands of the AI. Is there?
  11. After you make a scenario you can give specific orders to the AI like you can as if you were playing as them. Fast, hunt, aquire, ect... Just like a big string of orders. This is "baking" it. The bad news is that after they complete the orders they wont follow the AI "plan". They will just do the last order you gave them as scenario maker like ambush or hide or covered arcs. This is why I say it is better for defending.
  12. Again, playing around and I wanted to post for those of you who like to make battles. A few things about baking... 1. Finally Blue side AI can start with javelins, extra ammo, and extra AT-4's. Basically you can have them stock up with the stuff in the vehicles then have them move to where you want them. Works way better for defense but you could attack this way (you would have to give them ALL the attack orders in one shot....hard to do). Same with red....now you can give red MG's more ammo! 2. You can start AI vehicles unbuttoned. Better spotting until tac AI buttons them. 3. You can have the AI start with timed arty missions. Now remember that AI baked units on map at the start will not follow any "plan" except what you order them but reenforcments will (but no extra ammo or javelins). Have fun!
  13. He said or I said?!?!? Geezz....I get no respect...
  14. This seems to work okay. It leads me to just a little gripe though (big shocker!!!) When my guys come around a building to attack I really cant believe how quickly the tank sees them (even from behind) and turns to attack. These buttoned T-62's are green and there is NO delay at all. Dont you think even 3 or 4 seconds to react should be in there to simulate a commander looking at a map or tscanning the front or talking to a crewmember in the tank?
  15. Testing more.... I am having success with covered arcs because most of the time my guys cant see the tank until after they come around the corner running at the tank in WEGO.
  16. I dont think they would blast a wall without a blast command. If fact I know they wont. I tried fighting a tank across a wall for hours using only target commands. Elvis, Do you run into the actual tank action spot while targeting or do you run into the spot next to the tank while targeting?
  17. I never used the blast command to try to tank out a tank. It is funny how just a change in technique makes all the difference. I never charged the tank to get these guys to do it (at least never noticed that I charged the tank). I always got my test group up NEXT to the tank in hopes that they would take the oportunity to lob a charge themselves.
  18. Much goes wrong in combat. Great way to simulate!
  19. Thanks Elvis. Were able to get them to throw over walls? Also...did you use quick or fast?
  20. YankeeDog, All that makes sense to me. As stated before, these are NOT satchel charges or bags of explosives but demo kits that, as you say, need to be placed rather specifically to be effective. That being said, before CM:N comes out I hope they look at this because satchel charges can be throw out windows, over walls, ect...
