  1. Actually, that was a typo on the old order pages with regards to the Finnish manual. It was fixed some time ago. Glad you like the English manual. Madmatt
  2. Interesting thread. Some things reported are not bugged (like Dynamic Flags according to our tests), others are already there in a different form (hold the shift key in the editor to increment ammo by 10's) some we are currently looking into some are by-products of other issues (we see no TCP/IP data issue as such but that crash is apparently related to something else already fixed) and still others are already fixed in the fortcoming v1.01 patch. Hopefully later this week I will post some more info about the patch and what it contains. Madmatt
  3. We are currently working on and adding stuff to the patch. I have no ETA nor will I give one at this time. ALL CMBB versions will have the patch released simulataneously by us (yes even the CDV versions). Look for an official post later this week with the current list of fixes and additions. 4. We tested this *reported* issue this morning and found the TacAi picking different dynamic flags to move to when offered a selection to choose from in a specially made test battle. Sorry but we dont see a problem here. Anytime you see something like this, you need to run a minimum of about 25 tests in order to get a good sample base. 5. Yes, this matter has been brought up before, but thats okay. Once more wont kill anyone and I am going to lock this up anyway in a moment. Anytime their is change there is resistence to it. You don't like the new camera movement, fair enough. You however are in the vast minority on this issue and we are not going to change it back nor are we going to take the time to make a toggle to make it an option. NOTHING is ever as simple in code as you might think, and to do so is a waste of our time when there are far more important things to work on. There you go, thats the final word. 6. No, we are not going to change the views. Now stop picking at each other. Madmatt
  7. We are looking into this issue but I think Charles is already on top of it as the current feature/fixed list for the v1.01 patch includes this: * Corrected a problem that could cause grain, brush, and rough terrain not to affect line of sight properly. I have also asked him about the fatigue thing and will comment when I know more. Madmatt
  8. Okay, everyone should have gotten an email from me which clarified this issue but apparently not. ONLY people that indicated to me that theyt COULD NOT play the game AT ALL were Fedexed emergency Replacement CD's. Those CD's were burned by us and we were limited in how many we could make and send. The rest of the people on the list will be getting PRODUCTION quality CD's that were re-mastered from a new CD company and those began shipping in small quantities yesterday (as they just arrived) and will continue to ship out next week. People that got an emergency CD will ALSO get a Production CD sent to them. So, everyone should just hang tight and your replacements should begin arriving shortly. I told you we would take care of everyone, and we will, but I can't make things go any faster than this. Our number one Priority during this issue was to make sure EVERYONE would be able to play the game, either by using downloaded files or by getting a new CD as rapidly as possible. Next we wanted to contain the issue and make sure our current and shipping inventory was unaffected by this issue. That is now complete. The last step is to get everyone who contacted me an official production replacement CD which is what we are now doing. If you emailed me already and I said you are on the list then you WILL be getting a replacement CD. It may take a few days still, maybe even a week before it arrives but you WILL GET IT. 9. Just got some new info from Scipio, still looking into this. Madmatt
  10. Actually, this seems to be an intermitant texture issue that we are looking into. It seems to occur when some video cards run out of Vram. benpark, what type of video card do you have and how much Vram does it have? Madmatt
  11. Scipio, I just looked at that file and I see two spotters. When I plot for them they are both given delays like a regular barrage. Thats not a Prep Barrage but just a normal one. What did you see? Did it SAY that the barrages couldnt be replotted when you targeted with them? Madmatt
  12. This should be fixed with the upcoming v1.01 patch. Madmatt
  13. I've set up dozens of QB ME's and never could order a pre-planned barrage. Of course you can plot a normal arty strike in turn 1, but that's not the same as the pre-planned strike. Do you still have the file?</font>
  14. Sounds like just a random printing issue. Either way, we will take care of Vanir. Madmatt [ October 04, 2002, 06:22 PM: Message edited by: Madmatt ]
  15. Ummm, I certainly hope you guys know each other because if not that reply above was totally over the top. Lets just lock this one up for the time being and see what shakes out in the next few days. Madmatt
  16. Okay, I dont think we need yet ANOTHER CDV thread like this. Closing it down. Your comments have been heard, thanks for sharing. Madmatt
  17. By the way TP17, please be sure to email directly at matt@battlefront.com with your order number so I can get you on to the replacement CD list. While a firmware upgrade may in fact enable your drive to work properly with the CD, you should still get a replacement CD. Madmatt
  18. No Fog of War means just that, nothing is hidden including Global Moral and individual unit status labels. I have never seen the FOW change on a saved game but if you can replicate it please email me the files at matt@battlefront.com Madmatt
  19. I have already answered you in email and attached the transactions info but the credits for the three extra orders were already processed on 9-7-2002. Often times credit companies will not post credits until the following month. Madmatt
  20. I usually do tests in batchs of 50 or more runthroughs as anything less is too inconclusive. I will run some other tests and see what I find though. Madmatt
  21. I set up a test scenario with two platoons of T-34's. One platoon was Elite and one Conscript. Both platoons were next to each other in a open area. Against them I had a single Ju-87G Tank Buster. In multiple replays the Stuka seemed to randomly pick it's target from both platoons equally. It also did not seem to ever fixate on the HQ tanks anymore than the other units in the platoon. I did notice that if the plane picks a enemy unit and does NOT kill it in the first pass it will be more likely to retarget that same unit in later pssses. I know that when I play IL-2 I often find myself doing the same thing though. Madmatt [ October 02, 2002, 03:21 PM: Message edited by: Madmatt ]
  22. Update: The 400 meter range thing was a bug and will be fixed in the upcoming v1.01 patch. The new range is the more appropriate 2500 meters and should also help a great deal with the aquisition and engaging of enemy aircraft. Madmatt
  23. Actually, way back in the Beta days I believe we did have the PO-2 (U-2) but it was removed as it was primarily used as a night time harrasement bomber and not really relevant to the types of engagments CMBB depicts. It would have also required too many code changes to allow for only certain planes to attack at night. Madmatt
  24. All planes dropping bombs will sound the same, with the Stuka-esque siren effect. We were unable to make custom sounds per plane, just per attack profile. There is a plane Loitering sound. Attacking with Cannon sound Attacking with MG's sound Attacking with Bombs sound Attacking with Rockets sound Madmatt
