  1. Yes, see this thread: http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=003020 Madmatt
  2. Actually, we are doing that already with Strategic Command. That CD also has all our other game demo's on it. When there is space we do intend to do that in the future. With CMBB we are just too filled to capacity to include anything else though. Madmatt
  3. The crash bug in Battle of Minors has already been indentified and fixed in the forthcoming v1.01 patch. Madmatt
  4. If you set "let program decide" you will not get any FSAA at all in either CMBO and CMBB. There aren't actually many programs that try to force it anyway so by and large that setting is usually the same as setting it to NONE. Madmatt
  5. If I disapear in the near future for a few days...Well lets just say you can guess where I will be heading... Madmatt
  6. b]UPDATED INFO (10-13-2002) Some people have contacted me with regards to install issues with the CDV version in Europe. Other people with the Battlefront.com version have also emailed me with install errors, but of a slightly different sort. If you get a "unexpected end of archive" error when the game runs you may NOT have a defective CD. What can cause that is a conflict between a virus check program and games installer. In order to install the game you should FIRST disable any and all virus check programs. This includes Norton Anti-Virus, McAffe's and all other brands. Once the install is complete you can re-enable the virus check program as usual. Also, for CDV customer with problems, you MUST contact CDV Tech Support for assistance, even if you get a insaller failure. We can not provide you with a replacement CD, only CDV can. To date though, NO CDV CD's have encountered anything remotely similar to the manufactoring defect we saw on a very small amount of our CD's. Also of importance is that no orders placed after October 4th would have any chance of a CD with a manufacturing issue like that above. We received new stock at that time from a new manufactorer and no old stock has been shipped since. Again we thank you for your time. 7. No it doesn't. Neither side will recrew in CMBB or CMBO. WHat you may have seen is a crew that disapeared out of sight because they were hiding or pinned down but recrewing of guns, once they have been abandoned is not modeled. Madmatt [ October 11, 2002, 06:05 PM: Message edited by: Madmatt ]
  8. No, it will not, because the fault is with the cards drivers and not the game. This same Z-Mask issue also occurs with games like MidTown Madness, Foresaken, Half-Life, Medieval Total War and many more. My guess is that the reason it did not occur, or not noticably, in CMBO was due to the much lower resolution textures and VRAM requirements as opposed to CMBB with its much higher quality graphics. 9. Sounds like you accidentaly hit the CAPS LOCK key is all. Madmatt
  10. That *may* have been because your on the Press Contact list due to you being with www.militarygamers.com so the second copy was for a press review. I will find out for sure. Madmatt [ October 10, 2002, 05:29 PM: Message edited by: Madmatt ]
  11. Roodboy, If you dont have the order number thats okay. Just email me at matt@battlefront.com and tell me exactly where the install fails and also include the email name that you listed when you placed the order. I can look up the order details that way. Madmatt
  12. Repair and Recovery certainly is a part of combat operations but rarely at the tactical level like your normal Scenario or QB. Repair and Recovery is also modeled though in Operations where knocked out (but not burned up) vehicles will get removed from the battlefeild and possibly come back later on as a reinforcement. Those settings are selected by the Operation Designer. Madmatt
  13. **(Hey - was I high about that 20mm sound effect issue or is there something to that?)** I don't know, what did you say about it? Madmatt
  14. Yeah, I checked in v1.01 and its fine. I went back and looked at my notes from Charles and found this: * Corrected rarity for the 57mm ZiS-2 AT guns in the Soviet Motorized Rifle Battalion (Tank) '44. So its already been fixed and is part of the forthcoming v1.01 patch. Madmatt
  15. Okay, I was able to replicate it. Sending to Steve and Charles for review as TO&E stuff aint my forte. Thanks for the info! Madmatt [ October 09, 2002, 12:52 PM: Message edited by: Madmatt ]
  16. What the point total set at for the QB? Madmatt
  17. Odd, I tried to replicate this but could not. Those AT guns always came up 55 points for me. Was this just in the editor or were you in a QB? What region was the battle in? Were you playing with Rariety? Was it Standard or Variable? The MOST I have ever seen them listed at in a Motorized Guards 44 Rifle Battalion (tank) was for 155 points each. You also said the Battalion itself was 3000 points. Are you certain of this? That Battalion should normally cost about 1300-1500 points. If you can replicate this please send me a screenshot or even better go ahead and send me the battles setup file so I can have a look. Email me at matt@battlefront.com Thanks! 18. And another thing, everyone keeps saying how all the camera views have changed, espically view 4. Well I got news for you, it DIDN'T change! I have compared CMBO view 4 to CMBB view 4 and they are the SAME. The difference that you see is that in CMBB there is far more vertical panning (tilting up and down) allowed with the camera and in view 4 it starts out with the horizon still in site (for a average sized map). In CMBO view 4 was looking downward more at the ground. If you really want to have CMBB's view 4 EXACTLY like CMBO just give it one tap of down tilt (Shift-z) and there you go. The only view that changed in CMBB in function is view 5 which went from a complete top down view to a more functional isometric angle. The simple fact of the matter is that in CMBB you have far greater camera control than you ever did in CMBO. You can tilt more, zoom more, and see more with it. 19. Okay, not to be Mr. Negative in EVERY THREAD I post to today..How about some GOOD news?!? We have addressed the tracer issue in the forthcoming v1.01 patch. They get bigger the higher elevation the camera view now. Madmatt [ October 09, 2002, 12:14 PM: Message edited by: Madmatt ]
  20. No shockwaves will not be coming back. All the code for translucent "expanding bubbles" was removed long ago and we arent putting them back in. Madmatt
  21. It was backordered temporarily but it resumed shipping, as indicated on the order page, on October 4th. Madmatt
  22. Adding such enhanced damage fidelity is what we aim to do once we write the new game engine. It is not possible now. All immobolizations are treated as COMPLETE, with the vehicle not being able to move at all. Madmatt
  23. Its simply a huge battle and will be slow on pretty much any system in existance. Madmatt
