  1. The Major has just signed off on the playable demo for TacOps 4. Be sure and check it out! TacOps 4 Demo Page The TacOps 4 demo includes 4 scenarios, "Basic Training US", "Task Force Frolik 2", "Task Force Gallagher 6", and "Custom Scenario US Army". Basic Training US, is to be used with the electronic tutorial guide (Acrobat Reader PDF) in order to learn the key elements of the game. Task Force Frolik 2, pits a reinforced USMC Rifle Battalion against an attacking OPFOR motorized rifle regiment (BTR). Task Force Gallagher 6, depicts a US Army battalion sized task force (balanced armor and mech infantry) is conducting a mobile defense/delaying action against an OPFOR motorized rifle regiment (BMP). Custom Scenario US Army, is a blank scenario design template that can be used to examine the scenario creation and editing features in TacOps 4. DEMO LIMITATIONS The demo can only load the 4 scenarios that are provided with the demo. The demo can not load saved game files produced by the full retail version of TacOps 4 and vice versa. The demo can not network play with the full retail version. There is a 15 turn limit in any mode of play when using the Custom Army scenario template. There is a 15 turn limit when using multiplayer teams mode with any scenario. Except as mentioned above, there is no turn limit for solitaire mode or for two player network mode.   4. During beta testing we actually fixed this issue but it revealed some maasive bugs with the Nvidia drivers in the order that they place mipmaps. Unfortunately we had to go back to our existing system which, while not perfect, does not illustrate as cleary these faults on Nvidias part. We did tell them about them... Madmatt

  8. Not sure what it is in the demo but in the release version there is a hard 1 meg limit which translates to just under 11 seconds using the required sample rate. Madmatt
  9. I think we would appreciate it if you guys kept the high school math off the forum. The Order Numbers are reset periodically for various reasons so they aren't going to tell you much. I will say this much though...As promised, my ordering system is holding up well under the load. Madmatt
  10. I am looking right now into what will happen if I turn off the cookie option with the ordering system. We had some isolated problems witht he system a few weeks ago and it was recommended by the software vendor that we enable that option but I am asking them now if I can turn it back off. I will let you all know what I find. Madmatt

Yes it would be cool, but the only complete list exists only IN the gamecode and the only man in the universe (if a Brain soaking in a Nutrient Tank can be called a man) who can do that has been too busy lately to yank that all out to populate a list. It IS planned to provide such a vehicle list at some point though. Madmatt

  13. The order numbers are periodically reset. Currently they should be in the 80,000 range so if your missing some digits (which is odd) it would mean your order number is 80,535. You should have received an email confirmation with the order number also printed at the top. Re: HTML email, yeah that got reset during a recent upgrade of the order system.   14. The Bundle is just what we are calling a combo CMBO/CMBB order. It is not seperate item as such but due to how our ordering system is setup it has to have a unique product code. CDV I believe is already discounting CMBO down to 20.00 USD and therefore buying both CMBO and CMBB from them would be virtually the same as the CM: Bundle. Madmatt
  15. That is correct. We can not and will not ship the PC version of CMBB or CMBO to customers in Western Europe as it is against our contract with CDV. This isn't new, we have said as such for some time now. Madmatt
  16. The full announcement and details can be found on the sites Main Page. The Bundle Pack is not a new product as such, it is both CMBO and CMBB sold together but at a discounted price. We did realize this very early on during the implementation of Prep Barrages but our consensus was, and still is, that since your only only adding one minute to the total delay of a barrage (since you will call it on turn 2 instead) it's not such a huge deal. If the extra 1 minute delay is that big of a problem than you probably have much more serious tactical issues to worry about with regards to your game. Madmatt
  18. Wade, We are more than willing and capable to help you with your problem but all you have done so far in 7 posts is complain and blame without really giving us the oppertunity to assist you. Tech support issues, and crashing is a TECH SUPPORT issue, need to be posted to the Tech Support forum. I will do you the favor and move this thread there for you. If you wish to accept our help I am sure we can get you running. We have several years of experience and getting our games to work on all sorts of computers but you need to drop the attitude my friend and let us do our job.   20. The graphic files are there, looks to be a small bug with it not using the correct file for the Russian HQ's in the demo. I will pass it on to Charles. Madmatt

I brought this to Charles attention and technically its not a bug since duplicating a whole vehicle platoon usually adds more points than are asked for and would actually be no small task to code for. What is supposed to occur is that all these new vehicles should be pure independant vehicles. The problem is that there seems to be an issue of how the code treats this "extra" vehicles. They are supposed to be pure iindependants but it looks like sometimes they are being treated like units who have "lost" their HQ's, which is why some are tracing Command and Control to the ground HQ's instead. Charles is still looking into this though so once I know what is going to be done about it I will let you guys know. Madmatt

  23. Well that simply is not true at all. I have been running CMBB on XP since before XP was even released to the public and have never encountered any issues that were not the fault of drivers or a misconfiguration at some level. Madmatt

  25. CMHQ uses an automated script based system for the news updates so maybe the script somehow got mixed up with the file link. Either way, I resubmitted the link so hopefully it will look okay now. Madmatt
