  1. Ha! Thanks Mord. Didnt go that far down the fourm list yet.
  2. Wow...it looks like Normal Dude is going to have a tough fight ahead of him now that I've seen both sides.
  3. Armor cover arc. Brilliant! Movable waypoints! Yes! Target Briefly Command, Expanded floating, FoW floating icons, Canister rounds, OUT-FRIGGIN-STANDING! Now I have to ask...is the 180 degree cover arc key combo available? I miss it greatly.
  4. This was pulled from the NEW FORTERSS ITALY website... There is no full list or link to a full list on the new website that I could find. Or is that yet to come?
  5. The upgrade is great. But I was very disappointed that Market Garden will not be next. But it will be after Fortress Sicily comes out in August. That's good news. (Or will it? At this rate BFC could surprise us with something else.) But then again I guess the upgrade could only have been done with another family of games and not CMBN. 6 of one, half dozen of the other. My country for Market Garden!
  6. I cannot remember the name of the map. I played the campaign last year. But I would love to be able to replay the single map over and over again where the US has to cross one little bridge, through the mist and through hundreds of yards of open ground to take the high ground. That map was BRUTAL...but I loved it. If I remember correctly, the player has several companies of infantry. One company of machine gun support, some on board 60mm mortars for each company and on board 81mm mortars with 105mm howitzer as support a little later. There are also a platoon of Shermans as reinforcements and that's about it. Thanks!
  7. Womble was so gracious to give the tune about hedgehogs in my own search for this question here "The Hedgehog song" Spreading the love. ;-) Enjoy!
  8. This should not be much of a distraction at all. This is something they can hire others to do. There are companies that take people's ideas and turn them into apps.
  9. This is what I was wondering about. All good stuff though. Thanks guys!
  10. That goes without saying. But I dont know these things. I thought maybe a grog would have a better idea. I would think there is some way to tie the comms into the net. I know info does not flow as easily then as it does now. It just makes me wonder.
  11. When I play a QB I make it a point to try to add individual armor units in support of my infantry units under the command chain of my infantry units whether its Company level, Platoon or otherwise. That way the armor units can benefit from the infantry's ability to spot, because there are so many of them and they are in radio contact with each other...or at least benefit from C2. When playing individual scenarios I notice that all armor support units are under their own chain of command outside of the infantry they are supporting. The armor cannot benefit from the infantry's better spotting ability. I know it is not possible to add whole armor formations under the chain of command of a infantry company, platoon or battalion for that matter, in CMBN. My question is, is it realistic to have whole armor formations in support of infantry units outside of the C2 chain of the units they are supporting? That would seem to hamstring a valuable asset.
  12. Up on the black bar at the top of the page, do an "advanced search". Type in "change log". Search in " title only" and not " entire message". Make sure CMx2 battle for Normandy is selected. This is the quickest way.
  13. I think that would be fun to make that. I thought I'd give it a go unless someone else is already making it. It would be a pretty small scenario I would imagine. Unless you include the second bridge.
  14. Excellent post. I've noticed Bren's are vital too. Good tip. Keep them in the fight. And I agree with Chainsaw. One of the first things I would do is separate the PIAT team from the squad, but keep them close. They can be good at CQB or anti-armor.
  15. Yes, vehicles of any kind provide cover and concealment. It does not matter if the vehicle is fully operational, immobilized or a burning hulk (which might have live rounds that WILL cook off...so stay away ). However a Tiger's 88mm round will still pass clean through a Sherman's armor.
  16. Very cool. I like your camera angles and pans. Nicely done! Thanks!
  17. ...ugh. Looks like way too much work and way too much recoil! I love how he nonchalantly takes out the Panther and then reports back.
  18. What Moon said! It took me years to figure that out. There is no hurry. There is plenty of time. Just do a good recon before you start the scenario. Imagine what you might do if you were the opposing force (of course that comes with experience too).
  19. "slow" makes your unit crawl. You trying crawling everywhere and see how tired you get! And no they do not recover any faster with the "hide" command. Yes, they will recover eventually. But an exhausted unit takes a VERY long time to recover as compared to a "ready", "tiring" or "tired" unit. Select your infantry. Move the cursor over the carrier. The cursor will point down. That means that infantry unit can fit into that carrier or truck or what-have-you. No and no. Only a tank crew that has bailed out of it's tank can re-embark in the tank from whence they came and THAT tank ONLY (Unless, of course, the tank is destroyed). Tank crews cannot swap tanks. Yes. There is a thread around here somewhere of what's to come. Look it up. It's interesting. Aaaand here it is. Your welcome
  20. Thanks for helping me not feel so bad, noob. I made the same mistake and asked the same question yesterday. I was thinking the editor would show all of the units available to the army of choice. But nope, you gotta choose the right date.
