  1. Hi @Jorge MC Aye they are - although I think the helmets are a mash-up from different artists and the men's faces are Aris' German 'wounded faces'.
  2. Or reduce the current CM playerbase significantly as they all have strokes or heart attacks at so much excitement!
  3. You seen the size of the sign as you come into the village?
  4. @grunt_GI I've not tagged any mods specifically nor have I made any for it. If you want it to look like the screenshots I've posted in this thread then I'd suggest using the following: Aris' vehicles (both German and Soviet) Kieme's buildings and terrain mods Tanks a Lot buildings (these just add more 'skin' options for buildings but they are great!) Veins' German and Soviet soldiers Veins' tracers and special effect s(smoke, flame and dust) Rambler's CMBS Trees and Hedges (yup CMBS mod but it works in CMRT). Other than that it's playable straight "out of the box" Cheery!
  5. Later this week. All going well and RL not getting in the way thinking Friday.
  6. Nae worries Investing in a good graphics card and high res wide screen monitor have paid off! Thanks for the feedback - I'm shooting for getting this out very, very soon so you can enjoy these fruits!
  7. Hi @Redmarkus here is his thread which has links to all his scenarios - they're all wee gems and worth playing
  8. It's ALT-Z and it's working fine for me. Edited to add: the lines are red - darker if units are out of command. You're not colour blind perchance? That may affect being able to see it especially if you are playing scenarios that in poor light conditions? Click on a platoon HQ with sub units close by - it's easier to see.
  9. Even in CM:BB or AK you could only place the pixeltroops on a 'grid' although in this case it was a 20x20m square and significantly less fidelity than CMX2. It may have appeared so but that was because the scale was 'larger'. As Michael says when you place troops in CMX2 you will see the square they are going to set-up in shown when you place them. You can tweak that a bit to get the squad set-up as you like them. Many players routinely split up squads into their teams and place them that way. As Michael says changing the facing allows the troops themselves to adjust to the terrain. My key suggestion would be, and this helps me greatly when playing, is try not to think like the squad commander but more like the platoon commander. Micro managing units works if you always play small scale but TBH IMO CMX2 is not a squad level action but starts to shine when playing around company level. If you start to think like each individual soldier on the combat area it'll soon become frustrating as the terrain etc is not quite detailed for that scale - that's moving into FPS territory I think.
  10. Hi @Redmarkus Thank you - nice to be loved! Hope you had reasonable weather for your hols. You probably passed my house on your hols! I'm in Aviemore. Cheery!
  11. Excellent Two top tips for working with TRIGGERS. Create a small test scenario and play about - using TRIGGERS to co-ordinate AI unit's moving; using TRIGGERS to co-ordinate AI reacting to both ENEMY and FRIENDLY movements. Take care when using TRIGGERS to co-ordinate friendly units moving as it's really easy to set-up a lop in which nothing moves...
  12. Thanks @Redmarkus Really chuffed to hear this ta There are multiple Red AI Plans and yes as you observed in your other post several of them have a one aspect in common I note in the designer notes which AI Plan mimics the Soviet RL response. It's an easy job to turn off any of the AI Plans in the editor so you know which AI Plan you are playing against FYI. Thanks again for playing this and posting your comments - ta
  13. Here ya go @James Cobb drop me a line
  14. I'm just loathe to throw the pixeltruppen I've been looking after for so long into what has all the hallmarks of a meat grinder!
  15. He! Campaign is still on route. @Combatintman is very kindly proof reading the briefings and double checking tac maps etc. So pretty much it's all the finishing work. Scenarios all done, AI Plans tested. Just like any job the detail stuff takes the time. As and when I get the proof read briefs I load em up. I'm also putting them into a PDF which players can read at their leisure. I've gone for a narrative so they are a bit wordy. If players don't like reading they can look at the pretty picture
  16. Ah thank you @Raptorx7 for the kind words of encouragement! I've been looking at this map for the past hour wondering - how the ****...?
  17. I'm on the outskirts of Stoumont - commanders conference. I'm thinking here - speed is not my friend
  18. He! If you want arrogance wait till you see climbers talking in a bar... Oh wait add 'professional climbers' talking in a bar. Then add instructors and guides... That's why i enjoy playing the AI, as it bolsters my sense of entitlement and self image!
  19. Hi mate

Im liking the google map. Excellent idea :)

Happy to be involved - what info would you need to plot the scene of an action on the map? I can give you CMBN CW stuff and if interested CMRT stuff.

    Cheery!

  20. And that "statistic" confirms what I've always suspected about those who play H2H exclusively...
