  1. When my guns get depressed I usually let them shoot up a bunch of BMP's. Cheers them right up. I don't know if barrel depression is modelled but extreme angles might cause LOS problems that would end up having a similar effect. I'll try to find out.
  2. True the RPG has a thermobaric warhead that the AT4 doesn't. When I got out they were working on a bunker buster version of the AT4 that had much more HE effect. Anyone know if they ever put it into service? It should be about the same as the RPG.
  3. BFC are aware of the problems with the AI arty. Other things have taken priority as they were true game killers. Trust me, I am one of the most vocal about the need to fix this, you are not being ignored but it is a more complex fix than it seems to those of us at this end. It will get fixed though.
  4. If you use the "target light" command with the Bradleys they should refrain from firing their missiles. The regular target command assumes that you want them to take out whatever they are aiming at so they will use whatever they have available.
  5. Paratroop, Very nice work. You might want to check the vest.bmp file. On some computers it is causing a crash. I think it might need to be resized.
  6. No. In real life they are quite deadly. One of my complaints is the ineffectiveness of the M203. They are wildly inaccurate and have virtually no effect when they are on target.
  7. The AI in CMSF is much more dependent on the scenario designer. It also has multiple plans. You might try another run through to see if the AI does anything different. I can't remember how many plans eash side is supposed to have in the demo.
  8. The major difference will be accuracy, range, and ammo. Being mounted makes the gun more controllable and so more accurate at longer range. Plus a tank can carry more rounds than the dismounted gunner.
  9. You don't have unlimited reloads you only have two. What he means by unlimited is that you can use it any time you want. Arty smoke is on the wish list.
  10. See what you started Marine? We should never have taught them to use a computer. By unlimited he means that you can use it at any time you want instead of just defensively as the smoke launchers are used in real life.
  11. Ok, now I know what you mean. Yes you can breach the tall walls with a blast move. With the short walls, however, your guys will just move to the other side. This can be a real pain if you want to move vehicles through that area and have no HE chuckers.
  12. The demo charges are used for "blast" moves. You have to move the unit close to the wall, within 10 meters or closer. then give a blast move through the wall. The engineers will blow the wall and rush to the other side. Be patient, when the order is given it will not look like your sqad is doing anything for several seconds.
  13. Michael, I know what it means. I was asking if that was what you were looking for.
  14. On some systems we have seen the map take up to 30 minutes to load. Hopefully that is what is happening with you. What are your system specs?
  15. I hate winning through all of regular time only to have some git score a bonus time goal and knock you out of the next round. Oops, wrong sport.
  16. You might get away with that hardware if you were running XP. The graphics card issue is probably what is doing it.
  17. I tend to find my engineers rather satchel happy. I have had several throw charges while in a building and bring the entire structure down on their own heads.
