weapon2010
Currently in CMSF there are 2 settings for armor crews.Open and closed. In open staus you are fully exposed and closed you are fully protected.I would think there should be a setting simulating something in between, open or unbuttoned but cautious.Just peeking your head about 20% out so you can cautiosly scope the area under light fire from the enemy and not fully exposing yourself. It would increase spotting ability above being buttoned up.
Lt Belenko
Horses have 4 gaits walk, trot, canter, and gallop. We should be allowed to set vehicle speeds at 5 mile intervals.
Battlefront.com
Since the last batch of screenshots were taken we changed things so only the Commander is exposed when the vehicle is unbuttoned. The testers were also not amused to have the Driver and Radiomen whacked for no good reason. Yes, while they are unbuttoned spotting goes up for those positions BUT that's not as important as keeping the crew alive. From a gameplay perspective it's better to have the Commander more exposed because it's easier to see from higher camera angles and from longer distances. Don't worry about the look because Charles has the exposure coded separate from the polygons. Which means in game terms the Commander is far less exposed than he looks. gunnersman
Not sure about the speed thing. Way to much micro management for me. But I've wondered about a mid way between unbuttoned and buttoned where the TC is not so exposed but still able to see up and over the top of the cupola.

Pvt. Ryan
What about parade mode where all the crew are unbuttoned, ready to receive kisses?
Barkhorn1x
What about parade mode where all the crew are unbuttoned, ready to receive kisses? A must mode for my US armor liberating all of those French towns!!
gibsonm
That will only come out when they have fully modelling the "stupid French / Belgian / Dutch person getting crushed under the tracks" animation.
dan/california
New standing order, to all vehicle crews, ever First stop tank, then kiss girls, then evaluate if girls rate getting tank out of road. Do not attempt to kiss and park at the same time! .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . PS girls always rate parking tank

Erik Springelkamp
That will only come out when they have fully modelling the "stupid French / Belgian / Dutch person getting crushed under the tracks" animation. That should be easy, as the "stupid friendly soldier getting crushed under the tracks" animation is already in CMSF.
Sixxkiller
I will confirm that this animation is at the top of the to-do list. Sadly the game will be delayed till next year due to finding the non-drunken Belgian for realistic simulated crunching tests. The drunken one wasnt a problem.
coe
will it be easier to pop a grenade down the hatch or shoot down it in a close infantry assault on an unbuttoned tank?
