NATO Alamo - :D

No seriously. Alamo is a *must play* for anyone with NATO. Great fun scenario. Yes, you cant say anything about it. It went a completely different direction that what I thought would happen. Fun, fun times. Going to play with that map a lot. Marine company holled up in there against an endless wave of Insurgents?

The others have been great also. Tremendous effort by everyone.

I'm going to add to this instead of starting another thread....I had preordered the NATO module on the 14th of October...the game came out on the 20th of October and here it is the 26th of October and I have already received the CD for the game. I am very happy with the quick turnaround of release and delivery and just wish to express my appreciation!

Good job BF.C!!!!

Thank Steve-O! I wish the European customers would be able to experience the same but a customs hiccup at UPS has delayed the shipping out of our European warehouse (in Germany) slightly. However, we should be on track for tomorrow, meaning that most European customers should have their hardcopies by the end of the week as well.

Ha! I was playing the (pre-release) demo and didn't realize it was the Alamo map!

When I made Alamo, I originally intended it to be the demo scenario. It was decided that it wasn't very friendly to a potential player who has never played Combat Mission before. So I knocked out a different version with the roles reversed and that became Die Festung.

I'm currently on the "Factory" mission in the German campaign, and I see myself replaying it many times.

All of the preceding missions were fun, well made and interesting but this one rates it's own category. The opening artillery plotting is a game in itself. Watching it unleash is awe-inspiring. Seeing enemy fire still coming out of those decimated buildings that seemed like no survival was possible is...like a modern Stalingrad. As I wish we were on to the new CM WWII eastern front game, this suits.

Nicely done to the sick so-and-so that devised this glorious, deviant piece of urban combat torment.
