Iskander, you owe me big time.

If it wouldn't piss off MrSpkr so bad, I'd acknowledge you as my Lord and Savior...

As it is, thanks, Berli. Sorry again about the mess.</font>

Ohhhh please... Not again. I don't think my poor heart could stand that.

Can't you give it to him while he's sitting?

My gawd have things gone downhill in my absence! For the love of all the is holy there is someone posting here by the name of POOBEAR! Good gawd! I bet he/she has a poster of the whole Jellystone crew plastered above their bed! Yuck!

Okay, what is this I read that Peng is playing that drunken sod of a an Irishman Fionn? Listen hear, Pengy, if you need, crave, lust a good ass thwacking you need go no further than sending me a setup, you got that? To think that you would sully yourself playing in the pool with Fionn is a crime most foul. So, quit surfing the web with one hand and send me a CMBB Demo setup! One of those new spiffy scenarios. Hell, I will even play the Russians, you grasshumper.

Oh, and to the rest of you... You SUCK[TM]!

That's why I always use the "Preview post" button.

Steve

That's all part of the wonderful mystery:

I did.

Not only did I 'preview' my post, I made sure all was well once it was a part of the Thread. Everything seemed fine. Twenty minutes later -- after I'd finished some work and carted it off to the proper in-boxes -- I 'refreshed' the page; even before "that unfortunate image" had finished loading, I quickly edited my own post to remove the link. I really don't understand what happened. Berli alluded to 'porn spam', but why didn't it show when I Previewed and Posted initially? Most puzzling.

Of course, now that I'm better with several drams of Isle of Jura (10 yr) in my gullet, I can announce that all this was was my 'OscarMeyer Wiener' MOD for the PzIV auf H; sure, it seems a bit unconventional, but you should see that thing shoot!

Unfortunately since one of the Olde Ones has made me a Senior Knight I cannot in good conscious apologise anymore, but you see what I'm getting at... don't you?

Since my "whiney sacks of crap" got the lockdown pretty quick, I'll keep my opinions to myself....

...and the rest of you buttmuching lot by posting in here.

----------------

"New 'game' is not just for expansion packs anymore - it's what's for shockwave dinner!"

Clearly the latest atrocity foisted on us by the Evil Minions of Battlefront should be titled Combat Mission: Cruel Hoax. I was expecting something little, yellow, new, and different, but instead I got the same old same old: same war (World War II), same choice of sides (Allies, Axis), and same old boring unit categories (AFV, soldiers, guns). Imagine my slack-jawed disappointment when I started up a scenario in the demo and started playing. I've seen it all before - victory conditions dependent on beating the enemy player; killing and routing his soldiers, destroying or driving off his tanks, silencing his guns and avoiding his artillery. Like I needed to wait two years and shell out a whole $45.00 for more of that. It's all so similar, in fact, that I pounded my hoofs on the keyboard in a howling rage when I read the seven hundredth thread clearly stating that the new "game" could not and would not ever be made backwards-compatible with CM:BO, or vice-versa. Why, I myself could fix all that in two jiffies and a shake of a lamb's tail.

-YAWN-

And get this - not only is everything exactly the same, but it's also all different! There are new terrain types and unit commands and graphics and unit data and the like. And don't even get me started on the mouse - it's like playing in some strange universe where the mouse controls are subtly improved, yet easy to learn, but still make me weep like a schoolgirl who's torn her pinafore and lost her little shockwave animation.

And to top it off, I'm expected to hold my real opinion until something they call "the full game" is out. Yeah, right! Like I know what that means. More "cruel hoax" is more like it.

Sheesh.
