sgtabell
To all, I am kind of ticked at the extension of the deadline. The reason being was that the rules were set up at the beginning of this, and I put alot of time in, as the first replacement, to get games done on time. However, since this has been a bumpy road, with Treeburst running away with no thought to what the result would be, (I am pissed that there has been no contact from him to the group), I can understand the need for the delay. I would appreciate for the rest of the tourney that we stick to the timeline. In closing, I realize this is supposed to be fun, and it has been. I have never worked so hard to win at CMBO or CMBB. So please anyone, don't take this as a criticism, I am just venting. SgtAbell
sgtabell
Version 1.01 vs. 1.02 Issues To all or Kingfish? Can I assume that phase two of the tourney will be played at version 1.02? If not, why not. I would like to upgrade as soon as possible to the new version, and really don't want to wait until the end of the tourney to upgrade. What do you think? Holien
The next round should be played with 1.02 and I can see no reason why it would not be. Wake up KR and send me a turn. As for T. I am thinking of launching a search party in Finland. H
Ted
Hey Kingfish, Kevin “Zealotburner” Hicks is officially out. He’s upped and joined the Army. (I hope that’s the last time he volunteers for anything. ) Anyway, what do I do about finishing our scenario? Are there replacements or should I just accept an average score?
Redwolf
Again, I apologize for holding the show up which is caused by unusual real world load. But as I said I am by far not the most delaying in our group. If I was I would have asked for a replacement for myself, but as it is this wouldn't make our group any faster overall.
TexasToast
Guess I forgot the smiley there... We only have a few turns left in ours, it could be finished in a matter of days somewhere down the road - I'm not worried about it. Not so sure about Frontovik though.
CPT T
I have not heard from Frontovik since 2-9-03. I have sent my last turn to him several times since. I am thinking he is AWOL. Still need turns from Redwolf and U8led. Lets get this finished!
Kingfish
A few words on the tourney extension... First off, nothing would make me happier than to have everyone finished by the original deadline of April 20th. However, a quick browse through this thread will reveal that that is unlikely to happen. Late starts, unannounced dropouts, real life problems, whatever the reasons there are some people who simply won't be able to finish in time. Therefore, I decided to extend the deadline by one month. This is the only extension I will grant. Anymore and it wouldn't be fair to those were fortunate to finish on time. So, what happens to those who still cannot finish by May 20th? I don't know. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Right now I am trying to get as many of the original 72 to finish in a reasonable amount of time. To those who were able to finish their games and are upset about the extension, I am sorry. One final note, and this pertains to replacements...I don't have any. Thats right, I do not have any replacements for the main tourney. There were at least 24 on call, but Treeburst decided to launch the Overflow tourney and invited those people to play. Naturally, they all went, and I was not given a list of any new replacements. I will start a seperate thread to see if I can recruit a few, and I'm sure I will, but right at this moment I do not have any reserves (talk about a violation of basic military strategy 101!)
Redwolf
I guess it is time for replacements to apply. My game with Frontovik hasn't seen a single action phase. If he doesn't reply by Sunday morning I/you should post a thread looking for someone. This game needs to get started, it is a 40-turner.
shock trooper
Finished all games. Really enjoyed myself guys, just want to thank all of you in Section 3-3 for the good turn output and fun battelfield atmosphere. Now just the waiting game till May (Flammenwerfer you can attest to this, you've been done for what three weeks now?) Good luck to all of you when they post the results and curves. Also, what is the deadline for AARs? Can they all be on one document...or do you need them individually? Thanks, Matt Green

I just went back and checked Treeburst's rules re: AARs and didn't see anything pertaining to deadlines. Therefore, I will impose my own and make it one week after the tourney deadline. This means you will have until May 18th to turn in your AARs. Speaking of which, here are the the AARs that I've received so far: King of Debrecen Spanish Bombs Nolloff Seahawk Cpl Carrot Vadr Shock Trooper The Beast Nolloff Shock Trooper Sgt Kelly Holien Lt Bull Cpl Carrot Hosszupalyi Nolloff Spanish Bombs Vadr Holien The Christmas Battle Shock Trooper Rearguard action Nolloff Shock Trooper Vadr Holien Lt Bull If you don't see your name up here, and have sent in an AAR, you'll need to resend it again. Make sure it is in either Word, Notepad or PDF format. Edit: Regarding AARs in one / seperate documents, I would much rather have them in a seperate doc, as it makes things a lot easier for me. Redwolf
With deep regrets I have to ask for a replacement for myself. My real-world workload doesn't get better and I have to pull the plug now to give a replacement enough time to complete the games. I think I leave them in good shape. Sorry, guys.
