Grigb
Rybar version: Quote Prigozhin's March of Justice: what we know by 09.30 During the night, the troops of the Wagner PMCs entered the Rostov region, blocked Rostov-on-Don, cordoned off the headquarters building of the Southern Military District, where the headquarters of the United Group of Troops is located. Shoigu and Gerasimov, whom, according to Prigozhin, by the Wagner PMCs followed to Rostov are not in Rostov. Columns of PMCs continue to move towards Moscow. But Prigozhin said that his forces would remain in Rostov until the arrival of the Chief of the General Staff and the Minister of Defense for negotiations. In the recording, he talks with Shoigu's deputy Yunus-Bek Yevkurov and the first deputy head of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev. In the capital and the Moscow region, meanwhile, a counter-terrorism operation regime has been officially introduced (which formally began two days ago in connection with the findingof the underground [spy] network of the GUR from Ukraine). In the Voronezh region, a helicopter was shot down, which, according to Prigozhin, struck at PMCs and buses with personnel. Vladimir Putin's address is expected [soon].
Doc844
One over riding principle however you look at this in regards to Prig. In an autocratic dictatorship you don't get to challenge/embarress the top dog in full view of the world and get to keep your head. This is now game of thrones quote time, "when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die". I love the Tolkien and LOTR but felt this was more appropriate.
Grigb
RU Nats discussion (some relevant points) Quote --Yevkurov, the Deputy Defense Minister of Rostov, speaks calmly with Prigozhin. — The demands remain the same, Shoigu and Gerasimov, and no political declarations have been issued. —There is certainly [some] law enforcement backing for the Wagners, as there are no major battles everywhere.

Grigb
Rybar - not important so raw translation Quote Due to the general panic and confusion in the offices, panic continues. Decisions are being made on the urgent blocking and banning of Prigozhin's media resources — we are talking about the Patriot Media Group and the Federal News Agency. For the last month, the head of the PMCS has invested his strength and resources in creating a partner network within the framework of the Second Front project: given the general custom-made nature of publications, it is curious which resources will actually support Prigozhin, and who is distancing themselves. No matter how events develop further, most likely, in the coming days, many people may be blocked by the "just in case". However, to disable Telegram, which is the main means of delivering information, you will have to cut off the entire Internet, and this will not just be a crossbow, but a media suicide. Grigb
RU military reported/propagandist Sladkov Quote Well, everything is more complicated than it seemed in the evening. Rostov is patrolled by PMCs. But there are things that can calm our mind: - Prigozhin meets and communicates with Yevkurov and Alekseev directly, - PMCs, having blocked Rostov, behave in a disciplined manner, - PMCs, controlling the headquarters of the Southern Military District, do not interfere in combat work, front-line aviation is working, - our troops continue to fight, the front line is stable, There are alarming moments: - Prigozhin, interpreting the situation, is not inclined to compromise, although the subject of discussion is only MO and Chief of Staff. - there are reports of a shortage of ammunition in different directions, how will logistics work at this moment? It all depends on the decisions of the Supreme Commander—in-Chief, this is the only legitimate leader of the country.
Offshoot
31 minutes ago, Battlefront.com said: For sure that is how it is now. But what happens if the request to "give me stuff" is turned down? Can you see Prig and his boys saying "well, we gave it a try. We'll go home now". I certainly don't see that happening. And even if Putin gives in and beheads the MoD, then what? All is forgiven with Prig and his boys? I don't see that happening either. Make no mistakes about it, this is a coup even if the coup plotters don't think of it as such. In both the 1991 and 1993 coups the participants were given amnesties, so it isn't outside the realms of possibility that Prigozhin will be forgiven, depending on how much damage he does to the state by way of disrupting the war in Ukraine. And Prigozhin has been careful to present himself as defending the people. Edited June 24, 2023 by Offshoot
