    For those of you who don't visit the general CM2 scenario and mod section regularly: CMAutoEditor now has a CMBS profile, enabling or improving using the OSM part with CMBS. CMAutoEditor is a tool that for generating maps from elevation data and OpenStreetMap and automatically "importing" them into CM (via automatizing clicking 😉).
    As an example @TheFriendlyFelon kindly allowed me to show the preview of near Robotyne, Ukraine for his upcoming campaign.

    Hello all,
    With winter fast approaching, my time for gaming is increasing and I've started to create some new scenarios for CMFB. Here are my attempts! As always, my scenarios are not playtested to death and I don't guarantee perfection - I believe in the 75% solution now as opposed to the 99% solution weeks from now!  Please give me feedback - I am always tweaking in order to produce a better experience for everyone! All my maps are "hand made" originals. Screenshots are with a terrain mod of my creation that I'm putting the finishing touches on.

Three days ago you were a brand new Platoon Leader, but the hell that is the woods that surround you has taken the lives of over a third of your company and thrust the mantle of leadership upon you. The incessant rain, mud and mortars has taken their toll but slowly we have advanced, taking the town of Germeter and the woods beyond it. Your next objective, Hurtgenwald, sits less then 1KM away to your north east. Your battalion commander has ordered you to take your company and seize the lodge of the local forest master, located halfway between you and the outskirts of Hurtgenwald, and push into the town itself. At your command, your weary and miserable men reluctantly haul themselves out of their holes and go forward. As they near the edge of the treeline, a burst of gunfire rips through the branches above their heads...

    There are 2 things I hate in mission combat

    and that "shark teeth"

    As for the distortion in the ploughed fields, Kieme's mod brilliantly solved the problem.
    But for shark teeth alas, it is a constraint related to the engine of the game.
    Some scenario maker and map maker make a lot of effort to avoid them.
    I am thinking of the Bulletpoint "front contact" scenario where no shark teeth are visible, which gives you some of the most beautiful and realistic map. some other map makers , shift the bend two or three turns to avoid the effect of shark teeth.
    However for historical scenarios that rely on a precise map of places there is sometimes no choice.
    I recently tried the scenario The Carillon 1 It's Quiet-Too Quiet and I noticed this curious road with an unknown angle of 22.5 °
    Revelation !!
    The author, (I do not know who) is a genius who managed with the highway tiles to do this feat, opening a new field of possibility in the design of the maps.
    The only flaw is the visual
    So I created this little mod to give a coherent visual.
    Now I like everything !!

    Enemy tanks spotted...

    No Tigers. 

    I modded some Sherman hulls a long time ago. Added names from Bison Decals. The below tank oddly was given 2 superimposed images by the game code. That is weird.

    The PBEM commences. A big desert map. 4km x 4km. I forget who made it. Did I make it? I forget. It doesn't say who made it. I don't think I made it.

    I have it on meeting engagement medium battle size so I think that is around 3000 points we both get. He will buy some Tigers I bet. Ouch.
    2800 points or so it gave me. I got a platoon of Detroit's finest Shermans and some armored infantry in half-tracks with 57mm ATG's plus some more 81mm mortars and an M7 Priest. I have a few jeeps with a flamethrower and a breach team. GAMEY aint I? Everybody is regular and normal just like me and my friends.
    From my US setup zone (a strip along the northwest edge) I race a jeep to Poste de Lessouda. Private Ronson has his flamethrower. The jeep took thr paved road most of the way but then popped it into 4WD and will make the final approach off road. I imagined a German AP round coming straight down the road and nailing the jeep.

    The final version of this Battle Pack will consist of the following stuff:
    1. Campaign "Partizans Land":  6 missions in a period from May 31st to June 6th 1944 
    Player will command Axis Anti-Partizan Forces in a small operation along the railway line Orscha - Lepel.
     
    2. Campaign "Into Hell": 8 missions in a period from June 8th to June 23rd 1944
    Player will command units of German 252nd Infantry Division during the defensive actions north of Witebsk
     
    3. Campaign "Our Father": 7 missions in a period from June 27th to June 29th 1944
    Player will command mixed remaining units of German 12th, 31st Infantry Division and Panzergrenadier-Division "Feldhernnhalle" 
    during the encirclement of Mogilev.
     
    4. Campaign "Five Bridges": 12 missions in a period from June 26th to July 2nd 1944
    Player will command units of German 383rd Infantry Division and 20th Panzer Division during the desperate pocket battles
    around the city of Bobruisk.
     
    5. Campaign "Tiger Trail": 17 missions in a period from July 17th to July 26th 1944
    Player will command units of 3rd SS-Panzer Division "Totenkopf" during their counter offensive actions around the 
    city of Grodno.
     
    6. There will be included 16 Mastermaps
     
     
    In summary the Battle Pack will contain 50 single missions from tiny sized to huge. All the campaigns can be called as 
    "semi-historical". The player will command units that are as historically accurate as possible. A large number of the maps are 
    based on original/historical maps. Much time and effort have been invested to the detailed research of the historical battles.
    Some historical participants of the events are introduced with additional information. 
     
    The whole Battle Pack is a fan made project of my own without any financial interest. I have created it just for my personal fun.
    And now important information for everyone interested:
    There will be no option to download this Battle Pack from any website. Because it is an exclusive product, I also chose a special way to order it:
    If you want to pre-order the Battle Pack (or order it after the release), you have to pm me here in the forum. Give me your e-mail adress and forum-name and I will register you. As soon as the Battle Pack is released, I will send it to you.
    In this way I will keep an overview of how many people will actually order the Battle pack - regarding this, I currently have no idea/expectations of numbers.
     
    Estimated date of release is February 1st in the 80th anniversary year of Operation Bagration.

    British uniform Mod is almost done, but a few glitches to fix and decisions to make. (For example...DPM camo too bright?) For photo-op purposes, the DPM uniformed and helmetted troops have MTP Gear, and vice-versa.  This Mod will have a complete set of uniforms, helmets, and gear in separate folders for both DPM and MTP camo. The photois show a few different camo schemes for the plate carriers/armor vests, but I'll settle on no more than two for each uniform set, propbaly simply just use both DPM and MTP camo for each set, unless anyone has a better idea.  I can do a follow up for specific unit shoulder insignias if anyone has a real hankering for some.
    This Mod will be ready in a few days, hopefully.  Cheers!

    I previously released an infantry pack for CMBS sometime ago. Since thence been using the Black Sea models in SF2. SOOOOOOO I thought why not an infantry pack for SF2. This one will be a bit better than the last. its still in progress. im in school full time so when I get breaks in between. I'll be reaching out to some of you for help and I'll definitely shout you out in the end. What can you expect? Im an infantry guy so I want to make things as authentic as possible for everyone!!!
    1. 10+ infantry units
    2. Updated Sounds(M4,M249, Javelin, etc)
    3. Modded uniforms(Combat Shirts,ISAF patches, rolled sleeves, etc)

    The game to do a Taiwan tactical sim in is Cold War. Its got M60A3 and its got Red tanks a generation behind those in CMBS.

    The Italian soldiers have reached the walled mosque. There is no sign of the harem girls. It was just a rumor.

    The Brixia mortars have a small charge but when 3 or 4 are zeroed in, it seems like an inferno.

    Chris gets first blood. A scout car with a .50 cal pegged one of my Sahariana AT wagon guys.
    He is dropping smoke near the objective. Perhaps he has a Fast Group enroute...some Bren carriers or jeeps maybe?
    My assault group disembarks from the Fiats...in a defilade position.
    That one officer looks like he maybe dropped his St Christopher medal?
    Sunhelmets look so great. @boygarvin 's uniforms are so awesome. aka pitbull. Thanks buddy.

    The AFRIKA PBEM has commenced.
    A 1941 fictional battle to take the well at "Bir al Stella"...
    I am the Italians of the Trento motorized division with a small pack of armour from the Ariete division.

    I bought a balanced force with infantry, some mortars, the Italian recon vehicles (AA and AT version) and the platoon of three R-35 with 2 SPG,s (a 47 and a 75). 
    We had a gentlemen's agreement of no Shermans for him and no 90mm ATG on my side.

    On my right I do have 2 Fiat trucks. The drivers have been toasted with vino in my HQ tent all afternoon. They have their trucks filled with an assault group to try and rush forward "...on wheels versus heels..." ! The assault group has had a couple pots of espresso. We'll see how this goes.

    @Andrew6850 recently shared to me a great map for Afrika. Alam El Halfa. She's a nice, big girl of a map. Thank you Andrew.
    Starting this weekend I will play a Medium ME QB using it versus a buddy out in Scotland. He wanted the ME and he picked British mixed. I rolled a die and got Italians (also mixed). I will not do an intense DAR but will plop a few screenshots and comments here. It uses Pitbull's Italian uniforms and the sunhelmet mod I did back a ways.
    Since it is a Meeting Engagement, I took license to add a center area oasis/well/mosque as the fictional objective...

    Thanks for your suggestions. I did watch a video of you playing CMFI and it had older mods where I used a c instead of a k I THINK. [africa] and now I use [afrika] to help spot the older mods. The Stuart was an early attempt at a "Caunter paint scheme" and it reminded me of long ago when I knew a bit less for image modding. 
    My trouble is I have a ton of other modtags going on such as the below...
    [folgore] specialty mod to try and represent Italian parachute troops, helmet mod and some other stuff
    [wadi] specialty use terrain and road mod to show muddy tracks through a wet wadi
    [greif] Rommel's halftrack
    [aussie] specialty ui for Australian slouch hat BEFORE Australians were added to CMFI
    [busharty] specialty mod that gave Australians some Italian guns at Tobruk
    [aussietank] specialty mod that gave Australians some Italian tanks with Kangaroo insignia
    [kasserine] specialty mod for Kasserine area scenarios
    [saltmarsh] speciality mod for some Tunisia scenarios
    [birakroma] mod to bring a mosque into CMFI
    [valentine] mod to turn Stuart into Valentine
    [concrete] terrain mod for some emplacements at Tobruk
    [italiangermans] mod to make German troops appear Italian for certain scenarios
    [afrikaopelkadet] this brought the CMRT opel Kadet into CMAK2 in place of the US jeep
    [sangar] trying to mod the sandbag thingy to look like stacked rocks a la sangars
    [brazilaustralians] mod to bring in Brazil 37mm and crew but look like 1941 Aussies
    [kopz4] Blender modded wreck of KO pz4 as a sequence of junk flavor objects
    [re sunhelmet] pitbull's Italian Army desert uniforms with my sun helmet Blender mod
    [captured] a speciality mod that allows axis use of captured British vehicles with crosses
    [sbeitla] some roadsign mods and other foliage mods for Tunisia
    [pav] speciality mod for a particular desert Italian army unit uniform style
    [tracks] a road mod to try and show tank tracks behind a vehicle for looks
    [m1340] Blender mod to make an Italian tank
    [birhakeim] specialty mod to try and show French in North Africa
     
     
    Anyway, these are all specialty mod cases based on my writing a scenario that tries to be a certain situation. One thing I did do recently is just try to roll these folders up into my own brz files. Just to make it seem simpler for the player wanting to give my scenarios a try. I goofed up when I also rolled up with the modtagged files was the non-modtagged cases and had a blanket undesired changes to soldier names. I figured that out eventually. One thing I need to do is go back and add a designer's notes to all my Afrika scenarios that specify the modtags being used and what they do. For my own tracking and also so the player can check if they have those mods loaded in their CMFI z folder.

    When integrating your mods & scenarios into the updated CMFI 'All in One' I found a lot of untagged Sicily mods were perfectly applicable to CMAK2... I suggest making sure that all [afrika] scenarios are set in the Sicily months, which avoids activating any [mainland] or seasonal tags. Also don't forget the British shorts option!
    I intend to look into the modpack again eventually, especially the buildings, as I noticed issues with damaged roofs & walls.
    However overall I'm pretty happy with the 'All in One' version of [afrika] which has weathered vehicles, Aris's very dusty Germans, Kieme's desert terrain & a new mod you might like (designed to help represent US 37mm ATG's as British 2lbers).

    Some mods are not modtagged because they will be loaded BEFORE a scenario even loads.
    If they are in your z, they ALWAYS will load as the game loads and are not scenario specific.
    This can be music you hear during start up, some UI stuff, also the names of soldiers text files and the unit script files.
    One of these is a force selection mod I made that has a CMAK2 British 8th Army infantry vibe and an early DAK infantry vibe.
    If you plan to play one of my Afrika scenarios, you might desire to pop this into your z BEFORE you start CMFI.
    Then when NOT desired to be seen, you pluck it out of your CMFI z folder and stash somewhere outside CMFI z folder.

    I need to basically rip open my CMFI CMAK2 Afrika mods to analyze them and make sure they work. This thread will be that. Done in front of others that are helping me @Vacillator and in front of smart(er) people than me that might have time to drop by and give advice to help consolidate stuff from their own experience with a TON of mods. @37mm
