As per the above answers. I asked a similar question a while ago when considering my Panthers rounding a bend in the road to be confronted by either an AT gun or a Sherman. If they meet both, I assume what they fire on receives the appropriate round... An abstraction yes, but I can't see an easy way round it. There was discussion however about which round tank crews would normally pre-load in RL. HE was the answer I think, particularly for late-war Allies (WW2).

[tuffhaus] project. Building mdr swap experiment

Too true, but this will all be sorted in Engine 5. Ooops, wrong thread, bones should be dangled elsewhere . Ooh err. -
[tuffhaus] project. Building mdr swap experiment
Vacillator replied to kohlenklau's topic in CM2 Scenario and Mod Tips
Phil, that's a great resource, I've never seen it before. My quite large collection of ASL boards seems to have disappeared during one or other house move (sad). Or could it be in that large cobweb-covered box at the back of the attic? If so it will also have the 1/300th metal tanks I used to use instead of counters. Worth a look next time I'm up there, hopefully there's nothing more sinister in the box ... One thing I would say is that at least with CM we don't have to read a ringbinder of rules nearly every time we play, or argue with our opponents about what the rules actually mean . If I'm honest I used to ignore the rules I didn't like if I could get away with it. Your findings on the CM buildings are however rather troubling if I understand them... -

Tried it just now (just to check as I already had it). Works fine for me via the BFC patches page. -
Market Garden mission The Heuman Lock Bridge
Vacillator replied to Stevie52's topic in CM Normandy Maps and Mods
Hi @Stevie52, welcome. Is this in a campaign rather than a standalone battle? I don't have a standalone battle called The Heuman Lock Bridge (with or without MG in front), but I found the bridge in a battle called MG Bridge Number Seven which seems to be oriented differently with a lot more of the map at the back of your shot, and the paras back there as well heading towards the foreground. If I'm not mistaken your canal sides are more fortified as well. I was going to try moving some troops across the bridge but wanted to get the right battle. EDIT: I loaded up Bridge Number Seven as German (they start next to the bridge so the test was quick) and can confirm that they can cross the bridge. I used several waypoints including one at each end of the bridge. -

Nice work - sorry I didn't get to help with this one, probably as I was so slow with the other campaign . Downloaded and will try it. -

'Detours Ahead' - Playtesters needed
Vacillator replied to Rinaldi's topic in CM Normandy Maps and Mods
Just for the record, I finally completed this last night (with results reported to the author - Canadian Army Minor Tactical Victory). For me it was an entertaining battle, with excellent placement of opposing forces making it a tough and costly challenge. Thanks again go to @Rinaldi . -

Will PM, you are most kind. Only the Tiger II muzzle brake / barrel for sure, but I'll check as my M16 meat chopper was also subject to feline intervention. Must have been a pacifist. -

I was thinking SU-100 (a favourite of mine), ISU-122 and ISU-152. And I now realise I have no IS2s either. Your advice is much appreciated and the scale issue does seem to crop up every now and then. -

And while I remember, my sadly departed Burmese chewed the muzzle brake off my Tiger II, so that needs a bit of attention . -
Barbarossa Scenarios Released

I did build for gaming, thinking of a glorified ASL I suppose (I used 1/300 metal tanks, guns and even troops for ASL back in the day). And I watched some folks at Bovington Tank Museum doing a Berlin scenario at 1/72 scale, which seemed great at the time. But what I built was never really used and now resides in boxes in the attic. Same old story. I do however still fancy getting a few Zvezda SUs and ISUs just for the fun of making them. CM on the other hand is a bit easier to manage, both physically and rule-wise (even if you take the odd exception) and there are some lovely folks on here to play with . -

Phil, I'm worried your focus is straying . Anyway I have all your files and I'm ready to rumble (again). As for @Sgt.Squarehead's collection, wow do you run an online shop or something? The multiples are impressive, think my only multiples (built that is) are T34s, Shermans and Panthers. Can you send me some of yours please? 1/72 will do nicely . Having said that I built a lot of vehicles and painted troops etc. to play wargames with, but never really had rules that I was happy with. And then of course I found CM... -
