I will wait
Just noticed Bootie has not visited this forum since July 12th so he may be sipping cocktails on a beach somewhere. Hope it's nothing more sinister...

Cheers Vac ive already done the email thing to be an author haven;t heard anything back?
He's a busy lad but I'm sure he'll get back to you or come along here shortly.

Loving this @George MC and @Jim1954.
It looks great and as I'm not testing it I can watch from afar. After a short break in beautiful Greece (just back) I can look at other things, like Rakow. Too late I'm sure but I was having fun so why not...

Watch out for other such equipment as well, like Renault R35s (some if not all of the time). The canister shot in the game is one of the scariest for infantry (IMO).

I think you have to request to become an author here
https://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/
(the link is in the left hand side bar, just above the Keep Calm graphic) which generates an email to @Bootie. Or I'm sure he could set you up anyway if you asked via this forum.

This site might also be useful:

So the spigot is 29mm diameter, the charge is approximately 230mm.

Thanks again, appreciated.
I don't appreciate a website with a dark green background with black text though - not your fault I assume?

It's fairly well known, the Vietcong/NVA and Mujahiddeen used that feature to try and airburst helicopters with RPG-7s.
Apologies, my head is still in WW2. Did they meet with any success?

I think they need to go read the RPG-7 manual. The PG-7's warhead has a 4.5 s self destruct timer. It will self destruct before it lands if you fire it at that angle.
Well that's something I didn't know either, so thanks for the education. I suspect @akd did know .

Russia is definitely winning:
To be fair, a man with one arm has to do what he can. I refer to the video of the RPG-7 in case anyone should wonder.

You know if we converted a tenth of the amount written in this thread to game development and giving the community meaningful QOL features such as the replay system already available in CMPE and a map editor that isn't the most tedious thing to use on earth we might actually be on engine 5 by now.
I see you have a bit of an axe to grind .
Anyway I think the issue is the part that says 'if we'. Development of our beloved game is not a communal effort.

Too much info (spoilers ) Chuck but looks like you have it cracked. I may leave this one a little while as I have some other assignments on hand...

But the comment was on FB and I've not even heard of this happening there.
Fair point Dave, I have not seen it in FB, only BN. But hopefully it won't happen in our H2H...

I'm guessing by the username that Iain is at Slitherine? He is however quoting Modern War Institute, who I have also never heard of .

Cheers for your interest guys, let me finish and i will open a dropbox and allow complete download to all. I'm getting there and shouldn't be to much longer. Cheers
Excellent Nigel, I'm up for that. And a PBEM in your rubble if you fancy it.

What I found with hedges is put a waypoint just before a 'mousehole' before proceeding through it. The unit will assemble in close proximity at a waypoint before moving through it. The same applies for foot bridges.
Always a good idea. May not work every time though? I will of course continue to experiment, particularly as @Ultradave and I are doing this sort of thing just now...
Any thoughts on whether light infantry can go through a gap but perhaps not an HMG squad? @Artkin's post above suggests HMG crews are happy to charge through a gap...
-
So initial thoughts - it's a Fire and Rubble scenario but no clue as to who produced it. Description has a few typos and is a little short on detail, but anyway...
On the map at setup it seems I have no ability to re-position, which is always desirable. I'll continue, but maybe tomorrow...
-
Okay found it in RT not FB so maybe the wrong thread . Never mind, I'll have a look...
EDIT: We are crossing in the ether so to speak.
-
I've not looked at this one before, but I think I will now...
EDIT: it seems this isn't in my FB scenarios folder, is it available somewhere?
-
Is this the match-up against Artkin? Forgive me if I'm putting 2 and 2 together to make 5.

I'm sure you're right Nigel, one way or another it's a possibility .
