hiding is the way to reduce the time spent looking around
In a recent CMRT game it reduced it so much that several T34s trundled by while my PF team were hiding in some trees by the road. Understandable in real life I suppose...

First let me say for the record I hope he's ok and back involved in the forum soon too.
LOL that reminds me of a funny story. When I applied for my very first job - volunteering in a hospital - I made mention in my resume that I did modelling. I do not remember how I phrased it but clearly I did a poor job of wording it. I had a lot of scale models for war gaming - that's what I meant. I could tell the interviewers were confused about something on my resume about half way through the interview. The finally asked what I had done modelling for and I clarified I meant scale modelling. 14 year old me never even considered there was such a thing as posing for photos for money - WTF that makes no sense. The interviewers clearly correctly deduced that no one would pay me for that and could not understand what I was talking about on my resume.
Embarrassing at the time. Makes me laugh quietly to my self now.
Love it Ian. That's why I qualified my statement - in case anyone thought Andy and I were making a living on the catwalks or in the studios. I for one am certainly not.

the Union Jack can only be flown from a jack staff. Whilst Union Flag bunting can adorn a tent
I stand corrected. Although it seems the Union Flag bunting can adorn a wider range of erections than tents. Oh dear, that doesn't sound right...

If you used the [germany] tag in a 1944 scenario, would it use the late war color schemes?
Thanks for getting us back on topic .

My better half has today bedecked the ramparts and perimeter walls with the Union Jack bunting she also deployed on several camping trips in France.
I'll just point out again that I did not vote to leave the other Union.

I have to say it is only "for the duration".
I have a vision of bunting bedecking your ramparts.

I am currently playing 507th Makes a Good Drop.
Say no more, I believe I know who your opponent is. If I'm right, he and I are currently at Baranovichi on the Ost Front, where I think things are going reasonably well for my German stragglers and panzers.
So, 507th Makes a Good Drop is an 'optimal drop' version of Boots on the Ground? And presumably drawn up with H2H in mind? As mentioned another good friend and I are playing this one, with me as the Germans, in the full knowledge of both of us that you said play as US only. I've actually enjoyed moving stuff around so far but we're half an hour plus in and have not seen each other yet. Apparently reinforcements have arrived on the other side so I'm sure it'll kick off any minute. It's still pretty dark as well. Now, let's see, have I said anything I shouldn't have? No, don't think so...

I fear we have moved away from topic in recent posts (mine included). Oh well...

@WimO's stuff is great, although instructions should be followed. I'm currently playing Boots on the Ground as the Germans in a PBEM. This was not as planned .
@George MC's stuff is of course great (have I mentioned this before ). George, I'm reminded that I'm supposed to be visting a couple of bridges - my apologies I have been a little distracted.

one little wart of an island
How dare you sir? Or are you also 'taking the piss'? Which is not the same as 'taking a piss'.
Sidenote 1: it's nice that we can piss on this forum without big brother's censorship.
Sidenote 2: It's not matter of multiple names - we are the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. England is but a part.

What do you mean by that ?
I think our friend is referring to the use of capitalisation. I'm only the messenger, please don't shoot me .

Thanks guys, yes let's hope he's okay and will be back soon.

While Germany could be faster with armaments, German money is still important tbf. EU money is very important for keeping Ukraine afloat, and for just generally ensuring Ukraine can fight on. One easy way for NATO members to sort of avoid "escalation" is simply have everything go to Eastern European states like Poland, Baltics, who basically enjoy telling Russia to go to hell and have them pass on the equipment to Ukraine. Pretty sure this is ongoing rn.
Totally agree. As a sadly ex-EU member .

Phil you're probably right about that. You are about most things, perhaps all . Anyway I want Habaneros on mine...
-
Has anyone heard from our good friend Andy @Sgt.Squarehead recently? Not seen here since February (the same on modelling forums - scale models that is in case you're wondering) so I'm a little concerned...

On a similar note I've always felt sorry for the guys heading towards surrounded Stalingrad, only to have to stop short with no attempt at a breakout (for obvious reasons no doubt). But some might say I'm feeling sorry for the wrong side...
Anyway thanks again for the reminder of a campaign I downloaded but did not immediately get to try .

Okay, I'll hopefully get to it soon . So thanks are also due to @Lille Fiskerby.

Apologies I'm a bit late on these. Beautiful work and nice story-telling.
Silly (aka lazy) question - are these all part of the Breakthrough to Kovel campaign? If so I really need to try it.

One possible solution would be to restrict the picking up of enemy small arms to when units/pixeltruppen's own organic weapon is extremely low or out of ammunition
I think the suggestion was that if the enemy had the same ammo that you need, you should be able to pick it up? However, as you can't even share with your own side except within a unit's command structure I wouldn't expect to be able to use the enemy's ammo. Even though in reality it might happen. Right or wrong, not my call .

The bottom line is that no patches should be installed when using the full game installer
Thanks for the clarification, understood. The links to patches on the website might still need a brush up, particularly the one on the CMFB purchase page which seems to direct to Engine 3 CMBN patches?
Anyway hope he gets sorted soon.

I think I tried an earlier production and it was great fun, the one where a truck and AT gun only just made an escape before the main action? So I'm keen for more, I'm sure others in the gang of six are too. Or I could try another H2H with the maestro.
I dont think it's 'nobody wants it' (ooh err) it just needs to be thrust out there (ooh err part2). Hopefully the regal @Warts 'n' all is reading this thread .
EDIT: And I love 'What fries my onions'. If you could add a few bits of my Habaneros and stick it on a pizza...
EDIT2: I was about to comment on bending over in the showers for a bar of soap, but oh well better stop there .
