On the other hand, if you don't want any replies, why bother posting?
Fair point, I hinted at the same hoping for a reply. Seems 'our' (BFC's) lovely game is not for everyone, but it is for sure keeping me occupied .

Be great in the mod lol
I agree, over to you then ?
Must check if I'm up to date on your great stuff my friend. And apologies that my testing is a little slow, I've been delayed by a huge commitment in Normandy. KG Bohm to Le Rocher to be precise.

Was the pillared building a museum in 45
Not sure, the tanks were described as trophies, brought from Smolensk (a long story). Desperate times but maybe they were placed there already and not put up as part of any defense? Still not sure about that gun though...

Royal Italian flag
And how we both love a bit of Royalist fervour .
5 minutes ago, NPye said:Is that an old British WWI Mk I Tank? If so WTF is it doing here in 1945, Museum piece maybe?
Mk V's if I believe the internet. A couple of them had changed hands and as you say museum pieces, but quite a story.
Here's another pic, but the gun doesn't look original .

I can't edit the post????
I think there's a time limit on editing posts. No idea what it is though.

I can't find out which organization used that triangular emblem, but the flags suggest some kind of international anti-fascist group.
How about this:

From 1948 not 1933 - I was wondering about the state of some of the buildings...

I'm done with this infuriating game. I also do not need any replies.
What can I say? I'm not done with it by any means, but that's a reply .
Not sure why your guys would just start moving into Chaumont unless you'd given them orders to do so? But that's also a reply .
Anyway, just keep going and ask questions here, watch Youtube videos or whatever works. It's well worth the learning curve in my opinion.

Love that middle shot Nigel, excellent.

Yeah me too, round about then in Newcastle City Hall. More regular gigs were Hawkwind and Motorhead though .

Welcome @massi. You mean release on Steam I assume. I think the intention is/was to put CMBN on Steam next, to be followed by CMRT, but I may be wrong.
If you're in a hurry you can get either direct from BFC now. And you should get both obviously , and in time (finances permitting) you will.
CMRT was my first purchase, but I spend more time playing other people in CMBN. Love both, and CMFB and CMFI.

I can only wish for some early 1940-42 war years love
+1 from me. I know there are others who feel the same ( @kohlenklau deserves special mention ) but what I don't know is how many and how the likely purchase numbers stack up for BFC. I'd buy early war stuff for sure, but then again I'll buy all of the above later war stuff as well. Just not the modern stuff (yet ).

I hadn't noticed but gave it a try. It was very, very slow for my first search (randomly it was '22.5', related to the degrees of Falaise's road mod) but much quicker on the second (Falaise). The results I got did not seem much different to what I would have got a few months ago, but of course I'm not sure.

Metric 500 tonnes = 1.1 million pounds, but your point is still valid, even more so.

I would think you would also get out through the windows as any common burglar can.
Not in the so-called high security buildings I was referring to .

Would you want to live in a house where you can't get out of the back door? No, neither would I.
You make a very good point, but I thought you lived in what we used to call the 'big house', where you can't get out of the front or the back door .

Thanks for the info, at my level all help is appreciated .

Just a few, some just have red stars added or the Fire and Rubble decals with stripes removed, assault guns and a couple of the t34-85s have the funky number decals. They work with default textures.
Got them thanks. Might have a go at some myself - looking at the stretched star in the first bmp file I opened, is it just a case of trial and error to get it to look right in-game?

I meant I don't play war thunder, though it looks pretty cool. I do play RT and like it a lot, but I don't have Fire and Rubble yet, maybe at Christmas.
Ah, got ya. I should have read it a bit more carefully.
I did try War Thunder and also World of Tanks, but both were too arcadey, grindy, and full of people erm how shall I say it, making 'rude and derogatory remarks' about other players (including me ). Was I surprised by this, no, but it hastened the removal of both games from my computer.
Also the 'fantasy tank' aspects didn't appeal to me as I like historical accuracy where possible.

Errrm, are you in the right place forum-wise? SC suggests Strategic Command and I can't see that battle in any CM2 WW2 titles?

Nice graphics George and if I'm not misunderstanding, perhaps another case of history misreprenting losses/victories (for example '9 Panthers while passing under the viaduct'? Maybe it's correct, but given the numbers you describe, somewhat unlikely.
Of course it would indeed be hard for your Panther sales company (I liked that @jakuza44 ).

A RAR file is a compressed file/folder (like a Zip file or similar). You'll need to extract its contents with an application like WinZip or WinRAR (which I use as it's free for what I do with it). Keep posting if this is also a new thing for you .

The 'heroic, yet doomed' vibe is strong here, even though Combat Mission is also programmed by one man. Charles may be exceptional
The force is strong in this one.
I particularly enjoyed one (or was it more?) recent post from Charles on the massively multi-commented thread. I was hoping they had let him out of the dungeon to make the post while breathing some fresh air, but at the same time I was hoping he would get back to programming soon afterwards .
