  6. Difference being that M48/M60 are slow as hell. TDs are fast as heck. So also one has to have more forgiving plan of maneuver for these guys. In CMCW one can really see the advantage of speed. (I am looking at you T80) When you can cross any given ground 2x faster you are going to get hit a lot less than -2x times. It is not linear, not only do you have less time exposed but fast is also harder to hit and acquire the target)

  8. And IRL there is the whole other dimension of are you actually going to get any of that artillery that was promised to you? Shifting priority of fires, counter battery, battery is relocating.... List goes on. In reality the fires might be almost instant in perfect conditions or not arrive at all at the worst. CM has to condense these factors to a single static time.

  10. I wonder why is CMCW getting mixed when all other CM titles are getting very positive scores. Maybe this title is managing to attract wider audience without previous CM experience. With expected results. (the graphics, UI and performance are unexpectable by any standard.)
  11. I agree. Would be great that thermal spotting could be negated somehow. For example does temperature effect spotting? Lot easier to see a warm tank in the winter than during summer. Maybe this is already modeled. I don't know

  13. This is going to make for a faster first shot that is also quite likely to hit (if range is <1600m). And if it is a miss, it is going to be a good reference for the seconds shot that should be hitting. https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/chieftain/chieftains-hatch-ragefinding/ In the Finnish army all the tanks use battlesight of 1600m to this date. Even thought we have all the modern rangefinders at our disposal. Battlesight is many seconds faster and doesn't give enemy laser warning systems a heads-up. In Finnish terrain line of sight is always very short. Ranges of 1600m are extremely rare.
  14. Area fire commands would be a great quality of life improvement. Yes I know there is already ways to achieve similar results with the current system. But these are such a pain in the ass to do I rarely bother.
  15. In Finland we have lots of forests. The wood line is a bad idea but positions enough inside the woods (lets say at least 20m from the woodline) with clear keyhole fields of fire are the best. Woods also cover any move out of the positions.
