VladimirTarasov reacted to exsonic01 in 4 T-90AMs against 2 M1A2.. open terrain, 2900-3000 meters, frontal slugfest
I'm tired of this. This is overestimaion. I can't trust this one. I am, and I will, with the Hunnicutt and S Zaloga's expectation, which defined t90 defensive ability as 850mm KE and 1100mm+ (or 1200mm) CE INCLUDING ERA.
Without ERA, 600mm is also quite overestimated value IMO. I almost expect 550mm for front turret without ERA, with cast + TiBDD.

That is also confirmed and double-checked from the leaked data,

During the explanation, he "accidentally" exposed the T90's defense capability to Russian new Czar. Of course this is ERA included data. And please, don't say something like "T90AM is GREATLY upgraded it is far far upgraded than MS ,it will be different" T90's basic design is not that different or upgraded. Wielded turret? That will NOT help this.

I think you're Russian or Pro-Russian European, but whatever, try not to trust on China / Russia source, because they seemed to very generous for their products, while have dual-standard against western technology. Nah, I know you will not listen, so I don't know why I wasted my time here :/

VladimirTarasov got a reaction from Capt. Toleran in Optics on Russian small arms?
Optics are being deployed but not all units will have them possibly in 2017 they will though, In a war against NATO and Ukraine the best troops would be deployed which would have the scopes and weapon sights.

Putin has dropped the term because if he uses the word Novorossiya America and EU will look down on him even more then they are now, Putin has helped Russia compared to 90s our situation is like we are already where we want to be, But sanctioning Russia because it supports Novorossiya is not fair, Why not sanction NATO over Kosovo or over Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan? Many innocent lives have been lost their too. But im sure America is the dream of the world that is why it can police, And destroy countries without anyone saying a word.

About Ukraine I like how supporters of Poroshenko don't take in fact the videos they have where they execute a man by cracking his spine with a kettle. Or the countless videos of bombardment of residential areas, And a ballistic missile was used but, all they think is "Putin is a bad man he is still communist" or just the simple "We hate Russia" mentality that is being presented by the government of certain countries to the population. Same type of people who believe in this stuff also believe that Russian forces shot down flight MH17

That drill is similar to one I participated in,  Our company was parachuted and our objective was to take over a town which was basically 6 buildings and each was 2 to 4 stories high. Long story short after taking the objective my squad was to set up camp in the woods and provide defense which it was 1 week long, And my unit ran out of rations so we had to hunt and we starved during the duration and still had to do objectives such as move 3 kilometers north to ambush a squad. And then we would get ambushed and then repeat. We were ambushed and were given objectives only and we were starving it was horrible... And on top of that our extraction was to run another few kilometers and make it to armored personal carriers in a given time. This is not standard training but a drill to check combat readiness of units.

I've created this topic for members who have served in the army to tell their experience, and also ask question for the members who have served which would help give information.

I have served in the VDV 2008-2011, I've been deployed to different bases, And even seen action in Caucasus and South Osettia. I got training in Tula base, I was not deployed during the Georgian conflict but after it. In 2009 in South Ossetia I was deployed to a check point. And one day during the morning time I was on guard duty and machinegun fire ripped threw the block post and landed near me and then other firearms shot at us,  The whole squad got ready and we were in a engagement I was shot at somepoint and did not realize it until afterwards, We shot into the forest killing most of them and they made their biggest mistake the group engaging at us brought in a van to escape which my unit and I destroyed.  There were survivors which a special forces detachment found and killed im not sure if prisoners were taken.

I've wrote this because I thought it would be a lot of information, If there is any questions about my service or what ever feel free to ask.

Armata will be shown off in parade of may 9 this year,  It will be in service by 2017 but it will be in large numbers in the year of 2020. What would be cool is if they could have put in Kornet-EM, it's the Kornet ATGM with a 8km range and has ability to fire two rockets in salvo at a tank which would bypass APS or totally overwhelm a tank.  As you know Kornets are very powerful, And that would also help Russian side if you ask me. It would be good if they could also put in the T-72B3M(or B4) Which is the T-72B3 with a panoramic sight and also I think it adds a few more things but I do not know.

Thanks, And yes I know the U.S. is known for their organization in their wars,  But Russia also has its own sure not as good as the U.S.'s but its not going to be a major difference except for a few advantages the U.S. will get from that. The T-90AMs and the T-90As, T-72B3s also have data link capability.  In terms of spotting I think they should be equal, M1A2 has a commander panoramic site which the T-72B4 and the T-90AM have.

I have actually played it and I think it could have been better with bigger maps and the graphics were not the best but it was still a decent game. If a funny anecdote is required then you shall get one

In the army when we had a parachute drill my company was doing a parachute jump my parachute deployed late and in those seconds I had a heart attack,  It deployed and once I landed the wind made my parachute drag me across the ground for a minute or so it was a horrible experience but good news is our company accomplished the given task.

Hello, I've joined this website after watching a live stream of this game and thought I would join and could provide some information.  I served in the Russian Airborne Forces during the 2008-2011.  You are in a tight situation and knowing that M1A2 is overpowered in most games I think you are in a tight situation.  It really does annoy me that M1A2 surpasses the T-90A even the AM variant.   Go defensive use RPG-7 with VR rocket and flank tanks from the sides.  No need to risk any tanks.  Tanks should be a layer of defense for now once you thin out his forces go for a push on the weakest flanks.  Artillery tree lines that you fear enemies are and use infantry on his  flanks and take out recon teams and anti tank teams. This should provide you more easy maneuvers.  Artillery is key if you want to thin out enemy forces never over think if you should use it or not.  If there is a anti-tank unit there is bound to be its support team nearby bomb the location this is an example though.
