I four/fifths agree with you, and so does the Ghirkin post below that I can't get to display correctly.
The other side of the coin though is that Putin might be about to learn the down side teaching people to keep their heads down and do nothing with a stick. People will keep their heads down and do nothing.  If Prighozin is ruthless enough to go straight for the weakest/most valuable spots in the MOD logistics system, he could have it all rigged with C4 before the MOD can do much about it. The only winner from that stand off would be Ukraine.

Rename it Prigozhingrad, declare himself mini-Tsar and start charging the MoD to use the railways?

Jokes aside, if what he wants is leverage to force the MoD to back off and get himself into a position of critical importance, he's going for the right place. The MoD have a choice between cutting a deal or trying to dig him out- or alternatively, Putin has a choice between cutting Shoigu and Gerasimov out or watching the war collapse.

They're doing for KIAs what Oryx does for dead vehicles. Counting only confirmed kills ... and they do point out the difficulties invlved AND give UKR, UK and RU figures for comparison. Pretty balanced all in all.

Naysayer? I don't think so, at least not just for the sake of it  I just value good analyses and discussions to gain knowledge. While I understand the temptation of getting rid of those annoying contrary opinions, the result is an echo chamber which is the exact opposite of gaining solid knowledge.
As long as people keep it civil, accept facts and can be reasoned with (there is of course no point in discussing with people who are always right, no matter how much evidence there is that they are actually wrong) I see no use in excluding them.

Phone/tablet screens are to small. Awareness and feeling where you are (as a drone) is much better when it's full view. Hence why such an insane precision with them. Furthermore if it's two cameras - that's a 3D image which allows you discern details even better.

It's very difficult to search for these because the results get drowned out by the huge majority of Russian war crimes. One would probably have to go through various pro-Russian Telegram channels. What I remember was the questionable case of the shooting you mentioned, then a case where Ukrainians were kneecapping a group of Russian prisoners, plus the one where a group of Russian soldiers was filmed bleeding out on a road with their throats slit.
My initial point wasn't so much about how many of these cases exist, but more how each of them were amplified by Russian social media. So it's quite conceivable that some Russian soldiers truly believe they risk mistreatment or a gruesome death when captured.

Not just anecdotal. There were a number of videos showing mistreatment or outright execution of Russian POWs by Ukrainian soldiers. It's nowhere near the amount of crimes we saw from the other side, but there were still a number of documented incidents.

To be honest, I'm getting really tired of these braindead "NAFO" shills on social media who are making any realistic discussion about the war increasingly impossible without blocking dozens of people first.
