Watching a video about how FPV drones are now mass-produced in their tens of thousands using 3D printing, how long before we see a head of state assassinated this way?

I think SMGs are too effective at long range, but should be even more powerful at short range.
It's not only about accuracy and bullet spread, but also about how you'd use an SMG at short ranges, and how it's not really modelled in the game.
If you see an enemy soldier run across a road, you'd be able to start firing and then walk the fire on target while you hold down the trigger.
And if you see an enemy run into vegetation, you could hose down several bushes with a long sweeping burst.
But in the game, if the target is a running soldier, the SMG guy will adjust his aim but keep firing just behind the target.
And in the case of vegetation, he will choose only one spot and then unload a long burst into the ground at that point. Then choose a new point and do another long burst, etc.

What makes you think that? I don't want to trigger yet another discussion about how good game X is compared to game Y but Graviteam has insane TO&E and OOB, at least for those operations I could verifiy it for. Some other battles and operations are so obscure that there aren't any published sources in English for it. Look at e.g. the "Bird Grove" DLC where a user has compiled a +100 pages book with English translations of the original Russian and German war diaries, including 'exact' notes on what equipment was used, lost, destroyed etc.
In fact, I would say that Graviteam Tactics doesn't really look like a correct TO&E and OOB because there hardly ever was a thing like that in real life, especially from 1942 onwards: so many cobbled together Kampfgruppen and ill equipped 'divisions'. Combat Mission does the same, of course.

man, I really wish the Combat Mission Series would rise again and new capabilities on the game too.

In an age of uber-industrialized addiction, lack of affordable & indigent housing, lack of any real systems of drug treatment, lack of adequate mental health support, WTF do we expect?  I see & hear lots of people s--ing on the homeless (not you, Bulletpoint), but this is not all just due to being lazy & immoral like many folks seem to think.  This is a symptom of our society's unaddressed problems, not the underlying disease.

@Vacillator I don't care what the new module will have for the players to have fun with. I'm not going to buy any more modules or such with the game engine there is now.
If Battlefront makes a new game engine wich offers at least some of what I mentioned in my posts about changes to the engine, which would make playing the game more interesting, I would buy something.

    And you know this...how ?
The attention to details when it comes to OOBs, TOEs and such things are indeed impressive. What is far from equally impressive by todays standards are the performance of the AI and the design of the scenario editor.
A game can have very impressive unit modeling and LOS/LOF calculations etc but if the AI is not able to provide a somewhat realistic (thinking/reacting) enemy...The game looses some of its appeal imo. No matter how good the OOBs and TOEs are.
The limited amount of community created scenarios in recent years ought to be an indication of the fact that the scenario editor is somewhat clunky to work with. Some improvements might be in order.
The AI and the scenario editor have seen VERY limited upgrades in the last ten years (atleast) and by the sound of it is not in the pipeline for any future improvements anytime soon...Unless the 2024-bone part 2 will state othervise.

I used to be a big modern CM player but I'm firmly in the WW2 camp now.
Modern games exacerbate all the weaknesses of the engine. I think most people will agree the biggest issues in the game are aircraft(control is very basic and you either shoot them down easily or it's an enemy that you have no control over and completely random), vehicle spotting (T-62's in Cold War especially are crewed by Stevie Wonder) and artillery interaction with tanks (there's a bug where subsystems can't be damaged on tanks.
Modern modules all have more airpower, more tanks and more subsystems.
Until these issues are fixed (when hell freezes over) I'll stick to T-34's and Tigers.

The war is not always victories. The enemy is strong, cruel and learn on own failures. It was big mistake of our state-propaganda to describe Russians so-long as "pathetic chmobiks", "alcoholics" and "stupid". Yes, they have stupid command, but Russian capabilities to survive in aggressive and deadly environment, their savvy, directed to survival, their natural aggression, fatalism and fanaticism make them very dangerous enemy.

True, but to be critical of the propaganda of even your own side is rare. I appreciate your comments here.

It's hard video, but need to avoid "echo chamber effect". The price of our bridgehead holding and expanding in Krynky. Video of Russian propagandist account, shows result of failed attempts of river crossing and evacuation of fallen comrades (in black bags). Episodes lilkely filmed during late autumn or in early December.
Those, who fight there say too much "missed in Krynky", because not always it's possible to find and evacuate bodies, especially if enemy sank boats.

I must say I disagree here. The amount of detail in Graviteam is incredible, and they just keep adding more and more. Just recently, they added simulation of exactly where each soldier gets hit by bullets and fragments. Some hits will kill immediately, some will wound, and some wounds will eventually kill - again depending on what part of the body gets hit.
And just to take it to the almost silly levels: I suggested to the developer that Soviet molotov cocktails might in some cases fail to burst if they hit soft ground or deep snow, simply because the bottle won't break. To my surprise, they actually went ahead and used my suggestion and changed the game code to do this.
Which is not only detail for the sake of detail - it means Soviet infantry is now less effective against infantry in snowy and muddy battles.
One can definitely make an argument that Combat Mission is better as a game than Graviteam is, but I think it depends on one's preferences. Both are worth playing in my opinion. CM has micromanagement, turn replay and also better urban combat. But Graviteam has much more detail and work put in overall, as I see it.
