  1. Besides, we both know no one reads these things.
  2. "I could be at home playing Combat Mission: Red Thunder right now."
  3. ...strictly for purposes of military intelligence.
  4. KSquared, I believe this is your cue to insert unenhanced image of Kate Upton.
  5. Countless hours were spent exploring each other's topography.
  6. I'm sorry, I thought this thread was about coming up with better titles for CM games...
  7. There is this other game, Bud B turned me on to: Battle Academy. Tons O' Fun!
  8. OK, I admit the Groundhog is fiction. Please tell me "Final Blitzkrieg" is more than a figment of my imagination.
  9. Some play TombRaider, others immerse themselves in the Third Battle of Kharkov, Battle Academy 2.
  10. First model I ever built, way back in 1972. A 1/48th scale wonder by Aurora. The rest, as they say...c'est l'histoire. Tanks for the link, Raptor. Check out the different camo schemes as the M48 was used by a multitude of nations.
  11. Note that I referred to BFC's likelihood of making a game based on Stalingrad, not a scenario. The latter is a given. The former, not so much. Besides, with the modding community we have, there should be no shortage of Violence on the Volga™.
  12. "Is it me or is it getting warm in here?"
  13. Releasing a game based on the Eastern Front is one thing. It has broad appeal. A game based primarily, if not exclusively, on urban warfare à la Stalingrad is quite another. Although by no means a guarantee of its success, no doubt the reason BFC has chosen to put their resources into The Bulge is the size of its market in The States. That Americans were involved in battle will make it that much more likely to sell than a theatre where they weren't. Without evidence to the contrary, I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing Stalingrad anytime soon...if ever.
  14. Sucking hard on a Gauloise, Sarge felt relieved at not having called in that final airstrike.
  15. The "Groundhog", for those of you wondering, was a prototypical weapon developed by the Germans prior to the Ardennes Offensive.
  16. Boys, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But, the likelihood of BFC ever releasing a game based on Stalingrad rests on two things: first, the lack of variety from an urban setting and two, the lack of involvement by the US of A. Having said that, I'd love to be proven wrong.
  17. The cadaver, yes. The numbers, no. The Wehrmacht, to my knowledge, never used that particular font.

  19. Hard to believe that Sarge had once considered joining the priesthood.
