  1. It is certainly part of the NSA-controlled american propaganda/MKULTRA thought control machine that itself is controlled by extradimensional clones who, in turn, were sent by aliens who inhabit the outer rings of saturn as prepration for an invasion. Everybody here in the insane asylum knows that!
  2. How about a bit of rape on your noodles? http://asset-c.soup.io/asset/1688/6722_c44b.jpeg Also an all time favorite of mine, that little village in upper austria: http://www.glo-con.com/images/article/4677_1.jpg It's really there, look here at google maps: https://www.google.at/maps/place/5121+****ing/@47.7871214,12.8795571,9z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x4775d4854dbcba19:0x802456ee60b72a17 *EDIT: It was hard to find an image URL to that austrian village that doesnt contain the name of the village itself. The forums automatic censorship would always censor the url and prevent me from posting it if the URL contained the name of the village! I feel seriously discriminated now, i have an uncle who lives there!
  3. Not really. Most european countries will allow you to own any semi automatic pistol, rifle or shotgun of your choice.
  4. Some years ago, i was in my teens back then, someone attempted to rob me, held a gun to my head and threatened to shoot me over a pack of cigarettes and litterally 3 minutes later (i just gave the guy what he wanted and he left me alone) a police patrol on foot just randomly passed by. What an awkward timing.
  5. You create an AI group, add an ambush command to the groups orders list, set a certain range (lets say 100 meters) in the editor and the AI unit assigned to the AI group with the ambush command wont open fire on the enemy unless he has either moved within the set range (100 meters in our example) or unless the AI unit is fired upon. I think. I havent used the editor for quite some time now. Try to look it up in the manual, i am sure the info is there.
  6. I am sure most people would agree that making 3D comuter games is certainly a form of art, playing them though, well, i think it is justified to question the value of artistic expression that comes from playing Call of Duty 5 . Similarily, films are widley regarded as a form of art, going to the movies and eating popcorn though isnt.
  7. Intrestingly consuming US media gives me the impression that, in general, US police is much, much more aggressive and violent than police in Europe. I ve read many reports of US cops using force against people where in the same situation police in Austria, where i live, wouldnt even think about or shooting or tazering that suspect. @Boeman: i think the opening post is too specific for a spambot, plus spambots are usually not promoting political ideas but rather porn/viagra and such.
  8. Is body armor standard issue among russian troops? If yes, is the quality compareable to state of the art US body armor? Is body armor going to be modeled in CMBS? I think it is in CMSF, but i am not sure about how it affects game mechanics.
  9. Barrel bomb attack, filmed by the crew of an SAF Mi-8: At 4:50 the airman lights the bombs fuze with his cigarette before he throws it out of the helicopter... I almost cant believe the absurdities of this conflict, probably they are lucky if they even hit anywhere near the town they were aiming for.
  10. Thanks for the video! I cant wait for Black Sea to be released, it is gonna be awesome!
  11. Ah, really? Well, congratulations to the campaign designer then! He made it on the offical battlefront advertising youtube channel, so campaign must be really damn good i guess.
  12. Nice show, not the least bit odd.
  13. Here is some more crazy footage: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=17f_1399897470 http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b36_1395944414 I bet none of you has ever seen a Mig-21/Mig-29 attack run from this perspective. And now that think of it, i hope none of us ever will!
  14. There is HUGE difference - i couldnt believe my eyes when i moved from my old 1280x1024 monitor to a newer 1920x1080. I dont remeber the sizes in inches of my monitor, but the 1080 is significantly bigger, wich in combination with the higher resolution has greatly enhanced my gaming experience.
  15. Baking though allowed to be very, very specific about unit orders. IIRC you could not only issue waypoints but also issue target, acquire, pop smoke and other commands (like the 'reverse' command that is needed for making tanks retreat without turning their vulnerable behind towards the enemy) - basically the same range of commands you can issue during normal gameplay. I havent used it in the scenarios i made because in almost all (99%+) of all situation the regular AI plans were sufficient, but it looked like it sometimes could certainly be of use.
  16. I am 24 now and i ve been unemployed for approxmiately 1 and a half years in total. Right now i have a full-time job, and i have to say that, although i am getting paid next nothing and i would probably get as much money from the social system if i were unemployed, it is still better than beeing unemployed. Beeing unemployed is fun for a couple of months but then doing nothing meaningful all day long gets terribly boring IMO. It is pretty much wasted time.
  17. I ve oberved this several times in CMBN. On one especially reamarkable occasion i had a Panther penetrate two Shermans and damage a third one with a single shot .
  18. Hearts of Iron 2, a global strategy game set during WW2. I love to start as Germany in 1944 and try to win the war against all odds or at least survive longer than historical Germany. I ve done this at least a dozen times,(almost) never gets boring.
  19. And when you have the Battlefront.com toolbar installed. It is offered during the install process of CMx2 games.
  20. Interesting. Who is the enemy in this campaign? Radiated insurgents, wandering the nuclear wastelands, plundering the ruins? Great idea anyways .
  21. Hahaha, i like the absurdity of the idea though. An extremely advanced alien species, capable of interstellar travel an such, has nothing better to do than to blow up a couple of religious fanatics stuck in the stone age .
  22. Problem solved. Reinstalling the graphics drivers did it.
  23. ...when you are looking at any landscape and think "If i wanted to take that hill over there, where are the covered Avenues of Approach? Where is the Key Terrain, couldnt there be a sniper in that church tower over there?" No kidding, i ve really caught myself doing this .
  24. CMSF ran stable and well ony my old PC (purchased 2006). Recently i got a newer one that, although still quite old (assembled in 2010), has significantly better hardware and shouldnt have any problem handling CMSF as far as i can tell. However the game crashes regularly and i have no idea why. I cant play longer than for 10 minutes, if the game loads the map at all. FPS are good, even with everything set to Improved quality, but that doesnt help me if cant enjoy the nice graphics for more than a couple of minutes. Altering the graphics quality settings in game does not seem to affect the problem at all (ive tested this) and altering the graphics quality setting via the ATI driver doesnt affect the problem at all as well. I ve also tested if mods may be the cause, but their presence doesnt seems to have anything to do with the crashes either. Specs: 1 x ATI Radeon 4800 HD 2 x 2 GB RAM Intel I5 Quadcore with 4 x 2,67 GHz Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. drivers and Win7 are both up to date i think. Does anyone have any idea what i could do? I would be happy about any help. EDIT: I am trying to play CMSF + all modules + latest patch (1.32). I am not getting a meaningful error message when CMSF crashes, except the standard windows "CMSF.exe has ceased to function". The problem seems to depend on map size. The larger the map, the more likely the game seems to crash. Tiny scenario dont crash at all, wich makes it look to me like a memory problem. Doesnt make any sense though, my new computer has at least twice as much memory as the old one and there i could play even battalion sized battles without any problems. When i start CMSF there are usually 2,5 to 3 GB RAM avaiable, Win7 + background processes consumes about 1 to 1,5.
  25. Here is a much longer version of the footage: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=36e_1397125294 The first and the second videos both show some of the footage we have aleady seen and some of the prelude. In the third video you can see the SAA soldier beeing taken prisioner. You can also see corpses lying around. Probably a small SAA unit, a patrol or something similar, was ambushed and overrun. 4th video shows a bit of interrogation and then it looks like they are about to start torturing him or executing him. The video ends though before it becomes clear what will happen next. EDIT: Some higher quality footage of scene where the insurgentgs take their prisioner; http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=204_1397119179
