While they fix spotting can they also fix cover. A soldier hiding in the bottom of a trench/foxhole should not be able to be hit by small arms fire from the same or lower elevation.

That's correct. Caught me out first time as well. If you are going to play a lot of PBEM I suggest you get drop box and HTH helper. It makes managing your turns a lot easier and cuts out the need to email turns back and forwards.

I am sure the feature would attract more people to the game so probably worth the investment.

Sherman v Panther - there was only going to be one winner.....

Reminds me of a time an enemy Panther was hiding behind a building. My Shermans destroyed the building with HE which then allowed a killing flank shot on the Panther.

Just remember if you stay put too long then expect some arty landing on your position or a reserve TD sneaking up to take out your tank.

I am sure it didn't take that long before.... I suppose the extra time is in forming a hole or piling debris up to raise the tripod up to window height?

As Jason says above, "skulking" is a much underused tactic. If your unit on the "line" is not doing anything useful hide it or bring it out of LOS. The longer it stays visible the more likely it will die and usually by an unseen enemy.

The armchair general tutorial videos are probably your best starting point. As Dakota says the main aim is to get maximum fire power on the enemy whilst receiving minimum in return.

$10.00 or about £6.00. Two pints of beer. or A packet of fags (not that I smoke) or A ticket to the movies or I am sure I could go on..... Based on cost against use I would say it was a bargain. No one is forcing you to buy it just use 1.11 if you dont want it.
