  1. Help please! I just bought R2V. I have CMFI and GL purchased as they were released, not as any bundle, but have been away from CM quite a long time. My start screen down in the lower right says Copyright 2014 BFC. and V1.02 I think I need an engine upgrade but do not see where to purchase it. I searched the offered products and didn't see anything I needed to buy. EDIT: OK, NOW I SEE THE UPGRADES ARE SEPARATE. I THINK I SEE WHAT IS WRONG. I have the following patches downloaded and ready: CM Fortress Italy v210 Update CMFI v211 Update PC I was ready to install V210 but the prerequisites said to be at something ABOVE my v1.2. In my CMFI folder I see a CMFI V300 read me so I am confused. AND I AM LOST Any help would be appreciated
  2. As the O.P. of this thread, I have granted myself a pardon for derailing the thread and the aforesaid execution is rescinded. I think that a new thread is in order and will await anyone willing to make one and call it maybe the "CMRT Estonia Mod"... This could reference the future availability of a CMRT F&R Estonian campaign by @BornGinger, with future loosely defined. It could possibly be enhanced by some mods that would be discussed in the thread. Not this thread! See you over THERE!
  3. OK, I guess I shall have myself shot at dawn...
  4. I watched the trailer. Looks awesome. I wish it had subtitles. My Estonian is a tad non-existent.
  5. All is cool! I understand and appreciate the excitement to discuss any fascinating aspect of the game. I just suggested it is better to create a new thread because it could be mutual to many others and deserve better focus.
  6. I know! Everything is cool. Just politely trying to keep the train on the tracks.
  7. Maybe not exactly answering EVERY voice but this is basically universal over all languages in CMX2. Translation of CMBB Italian voice files CMX2 has some additional voice files for artillery missions but most was directly taken from CMX1. In fact it seems some CMX1 was dropped. For example, CMX1 had voice files for jammed weapon malfunction and then voice files for when it was cleared. CMX2 does not seem to keep this voices. In a category of voice, say when troops are in a panic, CMX1 had smaller number of choices versus CMX2. Sometimes more, sometimes about the same. When I mod the CMBB voices into CMX2 I have to duplicate to replace all possible CMX2 voice options. Or an original BFC German voice will sneak in to your Romanian or Finn Mod. Like when you mod a turret or a uniform...
  8. Hello everybody, I need voice actors. Please PM me if you have an interest and the equipment to make the wave files. Bringing some CMBB countries voice .wav files over to the CMX2 world creates a gap in certain areas. The artillery commands and such as that. I have solicited some Romanians for the CMRT Romanian mod voice file tasks. But maybe we have to just "do our best" with a non-native speaker hamming it up with trying to sound Romanian. I could also use some Spanish speakers! I could also use some Finnish speakers! I will hold it at that for now... Please PM me if you have an interest and the equipment to make the wave files. Thanks! kohlenklau

  10. Ciao amico! A CMFI Partisan Mod is definitely more of a feasible possibility AFTER the new CMRT F&R module is released. Correct me if I am wrong, my vision is that this CMFI Partisan Mod would be Italian partisans speaking Italian with Italian names in place of one of the Allies (we'd pick after careful consideration) versus the normal German axis opponent. Do me a favor and please make yourself a reminder to contact me this October or so and we can start formal discussions to get a CMFI Partisan Mod team organized and lay out tasks and ideas. I appreciate your suggestion and am looking forward to it!
  11. @BornGinger I respect your interest in Estonian area battles in WW2, your efforts making a US/Germany proxy scenario in CMFB, and what the new F&R module may bring for us to enjoy. Please maybe create a new thread of your own on the CMRT Estonia topic to help me keep this thread focused on the CMRT Romanian Mod. Thanks !
  12. OK, we're back to the Mod Factory. Next update is in a few weeks.
  13. Calling all armor modders! The below is courtesy of https://tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/romanian-tanks-ww2.php A Romanian Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf. G “Panzer 4” tank. Romania recieved 12 of these tanks, and called them T 4. Romania in WWII The 1st Romanian Armored Division, composed of two regiments, did not participate in Operation Barbarossa at first. However, these forces destroyed or captured entire Soviet divisions, making provisions of dozens of tanks and artillery pieces in the process. The front remained relatively static in June-July 1941, but was followed by Operation München (retaking Bessarabia and Northern Bucovina) in 1941, the Ukrainian campaign, and the thrust into Crimea with the 3rd Army. From July to October, the 4th Army undertook the siege and battle of Odessa, one of the costliest and bloodiest affairs of the whole campaign. The Crimean campaign itself would last until July 1942. The 6th Corps (Corneliu Dragalina) soldiered from Kharkov to Stalingrad. Meanwhile, the 3rd Army (subordinated to the German 17th Army) fought in the Caucasus, reaching as far as Grozny in October-November 1942. However, with the rout of the forces near Stalingrad, communication lines were threatened and a general retreat was ordered. While the 2nd Mountain Division joined Rostov, the 17th Army was assigned to the Taman peninsula. The campaign stretched from February until September 1943 in the Kuban. The remaining forces were trapped in Crimea until February 1944 (operation “Festung”) and made a last stand until May 1944, but most troops were successfully evacuated with the help of the Romanian Navy (“Operation 60,000”), including 36.557 Romanians (4,262 wounded) and 58,486 Germans (12,027 wounded). In the summer of 1942, the bulk of the Romanian armored forces were posted on the Don’s bend, covering the flanks of Paulus’ 6th army engaged in and around Stalingrad, along with other allies, Hungarians and Italians. At that time, however, the Romanian armored units had already suffered many losses (most occurred during the siege of Odessa), and the tanks in service then were no match for the T-34. The 1st Armored Division also operated in the Kuban, Crimea, Bessarabia and Caucasus. Losses were compensated by German deliveries of 26 Pz.Kpfw.35(t) in 1942, 50 Pz.Kpfw.38(t), 11 Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.N and 142 Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.G after 1942 and 118 StuG IIIs in 1944. Alongside these, Ateliere Leonida delivered 34 TACAM T-60 and 12 TACAM R-2 tank hunters, while the very promising Mareşal tank hunter was developed. Production was cut short in August 1944, but it was to inspire the Czech-based German Hetzer in 1944, one of the best and more prolific tank hunters of the Axis. Romania also operated many captured Russian tanks, like the T-60 and a few T-34s, and operated armored cars as diverse as Skoda vz.25, vz.27, Tatra vz. 29, Autoblinda 41, BA-10 and BA-64. Called “AB”, ten Sd.Kfz.222 (1942) and some Sd.Kfz.223s were also delivered by Germany. However, the most current vehicle used by the Romanian Army on the Eastern front was the German “Famo” halftrack, of which 2322 were delivered from 1939 to 1944. After the near-annihilation of the 1st Armored Division in early 1943 and its retreat to Romania, the army was reorganized with the help of the German Army, with new tanks and the promising Mareşal, then scheduled for production in the summer of 1944. However, by March-April 1944 the Red Army resumed its offensive and Odessa fell, while the offensive crosses the Dniester. The rearguard (German and Romanian forces) retreated into Romania and took defensive lines between Răscăeți and Palanca, north of the XXIst division. The next offensive would prove critical, as Romania was invaded, the defenses crumbled, and in August an insurrection overthrew Marshal Antonescu and the fascist regime. A new provisional regime sympathetic to the USSR as established and, until the end of the war, Romanian Forces fought under control of the Red Army against German Armies to claim back its territory. After the war, Romania entered the Soviet sphere of influence and later joined the Warsaw pact.
  14. CMBB Voice Wav Files Key: 30000 = Germans 40000 = Finns 50000 = Hungarians 60000 = Italians 70000 = Romanians 80000 = Soviets (Russian voices) 90000 = Polish Any sound file experts out there? I have some "home made" voice files somebody made. Can they be edited in a sound program to reduce that huffy puffy sound? PM me if you want a job to assist the team effort or to guide/teach me to complete the task. Thanks.
  15. Any actual Romanians out there? I need a volunteer to listen to the CMBB Romanian voice files I converted to CMX2 file nomenclature and QA them. Please PM me or reply here. Thanks.
  16. STATUS UPDATE FROM MY PREVIOUS LIST Brainstorming Tasks: Can someone please get us the Romanian voice files from CMBB? COMPLETED BY kohlenklau Can someone please get the Romanian soldiers names file from CMBB? COMPLETED BY kohlenklau I think we should/can get the French Adrian helmet from CMFI R2V. Maybe JM can blender mod us an M39 helmet? COMPLETED BY 3j2m7 (JM) Uniform recolorings and tweakings IN PROGRESS BASED ON 42/43 TIMEFRAME Weapons swaps Vehicle mods Intro music? Splash screens? UI Mods IN PROGRESS
  17. Hey guys. Model swapping is definitely possible between CMX2 titles and all kinds of mischief and mayhem can be achieved! I think we took CMFI greatcoats and made CMBN have the Bulge. Then we took CMFI snow and had CMRT have snow and greatcoats (axis and allies). And the FJ for both CMFI and CMRT. BUT MY GUESS is that there must be game engine settings in the encrypted part of the program that sets if back packs appear at all for the US or at what random variation...just a guess. Plain vanilla CMBN you see the backpacks on a certain portion of the US troops. Plain vanilla CMFI, you do not see any. It was originally blamed on the Sicilian heat, wine and women. But now that R2V has the grunts huddled around a candle freezing their butts off, you'd think they should have made a comeback.
  18. Just making sure folks can see this great campaign by @dragonwynn that HAS the original summer uniforms CMRT Finn Mod packed with it. The download link is at the top and still works.
  19. I have enjoyed using JSGME a few years back. It seemed to take a small bit of work to set it up but then it was very useful to pick and choose what you wanted for even a quick battle "global in game appearance" I guess you'd call it. As opposed to modtagged mods which require the scenario to have the modtag to allow "scenario with proper modtags only appearance". Does that make sense? SOmehow I jumped off the tracks of using it and never went back... You want your hooker in leather with whips and chains? JSGME bing You want her in the Japanese schoolgirl outfit? JSGME bing bing Dressed as Nancy Pelosi with the gavel? JSGME bing bing bing @RMM Thanks, I am now motivated to set it back up. I have a bunch of CMRT mods and more on the way that SCREAM OUT to have JSGME.
  20. I was having a fond stroll down memory lane of ALL the CMRT mod thread pages and thought I would bump this up to see if we ever did get plain vanilla's from BFC.
  21. Hello, you've reached BFC, your call is very important to us, if you've called about the release of the CMRT Fire and Rubble module, please press 1.
  22. I think I need to review my own tutorial! My modding skills are rusty.
  23. @BornGinger This is that thread I mentioned in the other mod thread...
  24. Hey Ginger, Actually, I have a CMRT Finn Mini Mod that was packed with a Finn Campaign by DragonWynn. There is a forum thread about it. Once F&R comes out, I plan to return to that Mod and see what more winterizing I can or need to do. Another modder took the ball from me and had done some more mods including some amount of winter mods in it, but his PC has a tech issue and he has to go get the hard drive to hopefully pass me his stuff. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but the engine changes do NOT impact the mods and files. Engine changes are other things like features added to our dashboard as the player or tweaks to the program code like how a soldier behaves. Bottomline is that you are welcome and encouraged and invited to pick an option: try your OWN Finn Mod or leapfrog from what I and a few others have done or some mixture. I am not the ultimate modding guru but feel free to PM me if I can help you in any way. I am happy to see you flourish! EDIT: I see now that you do not YET own CMRT. So your plan to wait could be a good plan IF THEY DO UPGRADE IT AT THAT TIME. I hope you don't wait longer...
