    Growing larger is risky - not a guarantee.  Just as many companies go bankrupt from getting larger as are successful.  That plus I don't think the people running BF want to become business managers any more then they have to.

    Insurance has been that way for 20-30 years now too.  Not Hospital specific per say but managed care limited you to a set list of doctors - which is the same thing.
    As for cars, I remember when changing a headlight involved unscrewing the old one and putting a new one in.  Now it requires special tools and usually taking apart half of the bumper.

    No unit should EVER rush forward and towards known contacts when a simple movement back,  away, and down slope from their position (hedges) is but 5 feet away. How is choosing to leave cover to run 20m forward fully exposed to a small rise in the open - EVER a good decision?
    Speaking for myself only - I still have no idea what factors are evaluated to produce an evasion way point. Until that changes - I can't show a failure. Ergo, there's no fault to correct.
    Perhaps your response to my question will help me better understand what to look for other than nearby HE, small rises in elevation, and small arms fire...

    Can I quote you to my customers!  They would LOVE that definition of a bug.
    That little joke aside, I understand developer time is finite and tracking down the cause of such a rare problem is not the optimal use of that time.

    A 90mm HE from M36 hit a house with a squad of pioneers, they didn't quickly run outside like they did before. Instead, they slowly retreated to the 1st floor of the house. This is an improvement, IMHO.

    Capturing objectives - in addition to what IanL said make absolutely SURE the opponent does not have any units in the objective area.

    The odd part was that CM1 had to go since it took so long to modify due to how models and data were stored.  Hence CM2.  Now we are two years into waiting for a patch due to how the models and data are stored...

    In my opinion (that and a dollar won't get you a cup of coffee anymore, maybe a thimble of coffee though) BF has been tying too much into each patch.  I think they said the same thing further up in this thread and that future patches would be more limited - but then again maybe not.

    The main one, for me, is perfectly fine troops leaving cover to stand in the open an action spot or two away when fired upon by Arty (and in my case a machine gun).  This was a result of tweaking some other code in the unit AI to handle some other item that I don't remember.

    Well i know, i was trying to be sarcastic  I wanted to start peiper campaign again but with updated game and I'm checking forum almost on daily basis and I'm kinda tired after few months 😕
