  1. Yes I noticed this as well, I think it only happens with the 3x and possibly the 2x tree density settings on certain tree types. If you go into the editor and change the tile to 1x, the flickering stops.
  2. No problems with the 1918 Kaiserschlacht campaign although as Pikaboo says it is kind of hard to tell because you don't have to move around much. Tried playing the main campaign under XP compatability mode last night and noticed a slight improvement, not quite as jerky moving around the map although still not smooth where there is a high concentration of units. I have Game Booster downloaded on my comp, might give that a try tonight and see if it helps any. I think I have the latest drivers installed for the HD 5770 but I'll check tonight.
  3. I only have the demo version, but I am experiencing the same thing that ricroma and some others are. Slow, jerky scrolling and a slight delay when clicking on units. It only happens when unit density is high, in the Central Europe part of the map. Other parts of the map are smooth. This is in the main campaign part of the demo, the other smaller mini-campaign seems to run smoothly. I've tried lowering the display resolution and it does help a little, but the game only covers part of the screen then. My computer specs are similar to ricroma's...Intel I5 proc, 4 mb ram, Radeon HD 5770 vid card, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I am enjoying the demo and am tempted to purchase the game but am a little worried that as more and more units are on the map the sluggishness will get worse.
  4. I also enjoy the smaller scenarios...a company or less...and hope to see more of them in the future. I seem to recall a website for CMx1 games called Byte Battles, or something to that effect, that featured smaller scenarios. It would be nice to see something like that for CMBN.
  5. Do you all have ATI video cards? I was having the same problems with the demo, but updating to the 11.5 Catalyst drivers seemed to have solved the issues.
  6. Now I know what they mean by " The Longest Day" Well I'm off to work...hopefully will have a nice surprise when I get home.
  7. I thought I read somewhere where the price will be 55$ for digital download only.
  8. De Savage do you have Windows 7 64bit with an ATI vid card? I had this problem...it seems after exiting the game there is still a process running and you have to manually close this before you can run it again. Updating to the newest 11.5 Catalyst drivers has fixed this for me.
  9. Had the same problem....manually having to close the CM Demo process to get it to exit. It would not load the demo again until I did that. Updating to the latest 11.5 Catalyst Drivers seemed to fix the issue.
  10. Just thought I would chime in here too and say updating to the 11.5 ATI drivers solved my exiting problems as well.
  11. Same problem here...have to manually exit with Ctrl+Alt+Del and then close the process in task manager. Same system specs as well, Windows 7 64bit with an ATI 5770 card. I had a Windows update as well a couple of days ago.
  12. That was it! After killing the process in task manager, the demo seemed to run fine. I do seem to have a problem closing the game...I have to open task manager and end the game and then close the process every time. But it's working I am running Windows 7 64 bit too. Thanks for the help Erik and Moon.
  13. I tried disabling the Norton AV and firewall too...no change. When I click on the play now button, the little spinning circle shows up for a few seconds, the desktop icons blink on and off and then i get the option to buy now screen. It's strange that it worked perfectly the first time I fired it up but now I cant get it to load. I am using some older 10.11 ATI drivers. Could that make a difference?
  14. I seem to be having the same problems as Athkatla. When I first ran the demo I tried out the training tutorial and all was well. After a few minutes of play I exited and checked out the map editor and when I entered 3D mode, textures were messed up or missing. Entered the training mission again and textures were messed up or missing. When I exited the program, I had a black screen, had to Ctrl Alt Del to exit. Now when I try to play again it won't start up, I just get the option to buy screen. Computer specs...I5 quad core, 2.66Ghz, ATI 5770, 4 megs ram
  15. I thought the file size was supposed to be around 600 mbs?
