  1. Took an update stretch to install the latest ATI Catalyst package, 11.5 as many had earlier noted to work. Now the game ENDs like a charm. Oh, but wait, I don't want to quit the game at all! -Going to update the Original Post to include recommandation for updating ATI-based graphics card drivers. What, one can't EDIT posts after some time. Well, maybe not then..
  2. Weell, I thought you already had, but then it seems that you're the only one who's not playing. Everyone, laugh at him!
  3. There's always possibilities doing it software-wise, but if the game engine has been crunched to bits and grouned to perfection, then I would go adding the multicore support. IMO that's the thing of the day, but might as well be wrong.
  4. CMBB has now officially met it's match for me. The demo gave a fast experience to CMx2 and I have to say, it was easy, the all-new system (of CMx2 for me) was fast to learn and .. fun! Congratulations for BFC on this installment. I'd think that Battle for Normandy alone gives us a ten or so years of gaming, and that there's actually coming several modules is just something amazing! And let the BFC's coffers not be kaput, but filled with riches! Hurrah!
  5. The circle is complete. Everyone's playing The Demo, even The Peng Challenge hogs. Lock the thread and load your weapons!
  6. Here to specify, THIS is what I'm experiencing also, just had a tad different words to use when I was describing the situation. But PhoneyWar, have you checked the Processes-tab from Task Manager? I ran a test, as you had described, closed the "Buy Now" window, everything SEEMS normal now, but the "CM Normandy Demo.exe *32" stays on the Processes tab. Also, still using up memory on the Memory (Private Working set) field and CPU field. So this is what I mean, "I'm forced to "End Process" here on the Processes tab.
  7. Got 22-35 frames depending on what direction I'm looking in-game, Training mission - The Road to Berlin. Graphic settings I have both set to Balanced, AA off, but if your asking me I'd rather take with this rig here below Maxed out settings and same frame rates as I'm having now. Wondering, where's the choke point of my rig then.. Windows 7, 64-bit, Service Pack 1 installed AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black edition processor 8Gb RAM ATI Radeon HD 5770 x2 (Crossfire)
  8. When I press END on the game's main menu, demo freezes (or hangs) and I have to escape the situation with ctrl-alt-del to "Task Manager" and from the 'Processes' tab I can see that CMBN demo is still on, but am unable to return to the game at this point, so I'm forced to "End Process" manually. Any ideas, OR am wondering if this 'feature' (of mine) will exist on the finalized product? Windows 7, 64-bit, Service Pack 1 installed AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black edition processor 8Gb RAM ATI Radeon HD 5770 x2 (Crossfire) The game was installed on a 64-bit hard-drive partition, not on the "C:\Program files(x86)" folder as suggested.
  9. Just wanted to chime in and point out, no problems here with Norton Internet security, version 17.8.0.5
  10. You know when a fanboy hits.. but ArmA II just has some awesomeness innit!
  11. Oh man.. Weell, you can't anymore argue when that diagram came into daylight.
  12. It was also a good read. Although we can contest your One True Light. Whose is the right, whose is not. Maybe we see this with the oncoming ostfront-module/-sequel.
  13. And how many times a day you admit doing this compulsive open-close circle? 20 times, 40 times a day like me? No, you're not the only, not even The One, but remember when you get your hands on the game, play this song in loop: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1747o_hurriganes-my-only-one_music
  14. A mere Goobernational is able to come up with better spelling than this one here. Think, with a foreign language to oneself!
