  1. Also check out http://community.battlefront.com/topic/100121-newbie-h2h-questions/for opponents. The blitz link and a helper app are also linked in my signature.
  2. Excellent, nice. Print screen does not work. Check out http://www.fraps.com/(which does not support windows 8 and 10 currently but it still works capturing game screens just now regular windows screens). Also if you have an NVidia card Shadow play is supposed to work (I personally have not tried it).
  3. Well it is nice that you are amused. Honestly, I have no idea why, the only person I play with that has a thing about no APS is Sublime so I think your concept of everyone is a bit off. I'm not sure where your point stands. I have no particular fear of Bradley APS or not. M1s on the other hand freak me out. Seems like that is how it would be. I too am looking forward to hearing about how Sublime does wrecking Bradleys.
  4. Thanks L0ckAndL0ad That's more like it. So looks like the turret front should be enough but that upper deck would be something that those high flying grenades might hit on their way down. Yeah, I was wondering about that. I kept seeing that statement thrown in but with no details which made me suspicious - hence was I was looking for data.
  5. Pass thanks - I have way to many irons in the fire. But I agree it would be a great read. How about you Doug?
  6. Well, the 40mm HEDP ammo is supposed to be able to penetrate 50mm of armour. The listing I have found the for the turret armour of a BMP3 is 30-35mm so no problem for the HEDP. Am I looking at the wrong data for the BMP3? Please point me in the "right" direction.
  7. I was doing a little digging around to find verification of that and I could not. What I found indicated that the turret seems should be able to but the references I found say the front armour can only handle 14.7mm and one place had a comment about it being able to handle 20mm. I'm no expert by any means but can you point me to the data about the front armour you are looking at (even Russian would be fine).
  8. No, no, vehicles back up even if they have run out of smoke or have broken dispensers. I see it all the time. Not withdrawing is unusual. I have no idea why that didn't happen in this case.
  9. This thread is a collection of links from the real thread by the @Kieme. Click on the first link above and that will take you to the pictures.
  10. LOL, I'm not the first officer to lead from behind. Actually there were a number of trees between the fun and that second tank I think that had a larger effect.
  11. I hope so 5 platoon has taken casualties now and is in a bit of disarray. I hope to get them sorted out and fight their way to that AT gun. More write up to come later.
  12. The Fate of Sgt. Jeremy The fate of Sgt. Jeremy had to be pieced together long after the action. His body was found at the edge of town along with his driver. The rest of the crew were trapped in the tank. The first hit from the AT gun did not seriously injure anyone but it did damage the tank. Those frantic moments before the next hit were spent getting the smoke launched and attempting to get into revers. The second hit disabled the tank and the loss of two crew members along with three members of 5 platoon who were nearby. Sgt. Jeremy made the decision to bail out of the tank when the driver told him the engine had died. A third hit from the AT gun stated a fire and left only Sgt. Jeremy and his driver. Sgt. Jeremy was able to pull his driver to safety but no one else. With the bullets flying and more rounds from that AT gun exposing around them they ran past the nearby infantry around the corner of the nearest house right into a German fire team. Pvt. Anderson from 5 platoon who was injured recounted those final moments but only days later from his field hospital bed. We saw the tank get hit and hit again. It was the second hit on the tank that injured me. I saw the flames start in the rear. In the confusion moments later Sgt. Jeremy and one of his crew ran past me looking for cover. I was already being pulled to safety by Pvt. O’Brien when they went by. I saw them turn the corner of the next building and suddenly stop. He pulled out his pistol and started firing but he only got a single shot off before a hail of bullets hit him full on. His crewman fell just seconds later without seeming to even react. He was moving slower and seemed to be already wounded. Figure 141 Sgt. Jeremy confronts the foe Figure 142 Both the Sgt. and his driver fall
  13. True enough. And they do listen - and when the recently made major improvements in the forum they then too. Just like they do with their games.
  14. Oh, no it was the HQ tank from Stg Jerremy's platoon. I have not been spending time writing narrative stuff this time due to being too busy so I have not been paying attention to characters. Oh man I'll report back once I see the next turn / replay this one to figure out his fate.
  15. Minute 13-12: Well the risk I took to cut off the retreat ended in a bit explosion and the loss of a tank. That AT gun that I saw entering town way back in minute 38 is right where I last saw it. Now that was unexpected because it is tucked in behind some trees at the back side of town. I have no idea what it is covering except oh the exact place my tanks are going. One more tank down and another at risk. Also nearby my men are encountering actual resistance around the church. The good news is the artillery stopped falling on the force in the centre of the map. Figure 137 Lost tank Figure 138 Resistance Minute 12: Orders My orders are simple get that second tank out of there. You will notice that they are popping smoke and returning fire and backing up right away. In the centre the infantry will come out of hiding but just spend the turn looking for threats while the tanks move back up and pound the house across form the farm. Assault plans to follow based on what they see. Figure 139 Move up and fire Figure 140 Get back!
  16. LOL - like really out loud - people are staring. Time for a few of us idiots to create a special scenario just for you. Oh who am I kidding that would be a waste of time.
  17. LOL, sorry @operating as much as you might be right about voting being less than strictly necessary I really do not think BFC will be spending time bothering. And look what I just did I upvoted a good explanation of why editing is not open forever and @LukeFF's silly way of saying what I said above - so I can indicate that I appreciate humour and a good explanation. I feel 14 again
  18. Exit objectives do not end the scenario. All they do is allow forces to leave the battle field. As part of the victory conditions you can assign the enemy points for destroying certain units (which units and how many points is up to you). Without any exit objectives the enemy must destroy those units for gain the points. If you then add an exit objective then the enemy gets points if they destroy them or they fail to exit before the scenario ends. I do not see how to use that to make what you are asking for work. As an alternative would this work? Give the enemy points for destroying Bravo, add an exit objective some where around where Alpha comes into the map. Then have Alpha make a safe path for Bravo to exit. If there are no points for Alpha then even if the scenario does not actually end the enemy can not do any better once all of Bravo are either killed / destroyed or have exited. Note: watch out where you place exit objectives relative to other unit's initial positions. Annoying things can happen because anyone can exit if they step on the exit objective - just make sure there is some space around the exit. A while back I played scenario where some reinforcements arrived just in front of an exit objective in trucks. Some air craft strafed a treeline about 400m in front of the trucks but trucks are scardy cats so the backed up and nearly a platoon of infantry just vanished. Bloody annoying.
  19. Some reporters do get to have more fun than others. Cool videos. I was surprised to see him sitting on the front of the vehicle like that as they were zipping along. Not that the reporter looked unsafe but the camera man was backwards and did not have the auto cannon to hold on to. I hope he had something solid to hold onto.
