Rules will be broken in combat if it gets the job done but as someone who has fired off a LAW and a TOW before I think BF made the right decision in not allowing building launches. WW2 weapons would be amplified in effects as far as backblast etc. I hope we can use them in rubble but from buildings I can see why they'd not allow it.

That's about how I'm looking at it BUT if it doesn't, I'll live. Not like we've got a choice and I'm fine with them taking their time to do it right anywho. Mostly I am just wondering if the beta will just be a true gold demo or if they plan to release a late beta so they can have it out before the gold ships or goes online by maybe a week or something. Otherwise the two will show up pretty much the same time I would guess. I mean if the game and demo come out at same time who that has the game is gonna play the demo?!

I blame the internet and its anonymity for people being proper idiots to one another. If you had to stake your job or real life reputation on what you said even on the internet, people would be singing a different tune to one another. Course there still are those idiots who have a full closet worth of shoes in their mouths, but there is no helping people like that. They'll find a cure for cancer before the one for stupidity.

Youtube also seems to be pretty decent at generating interest and the cost is about right as well.

I don't think subject matter at this point is something anyone cares about, we're just looking for something to debate as everything worth speculating about the game or demo has about run its course. Once the game goes live however.... :cool:

Banners on certain websites would work well I would think except the people on those websites would probably know about BF and therefore the game, but it probably couldn't hurt. I would think the best bet would be places that have cross over appeal where you'd have that group of people that are just tired of the standard RTS clickfest and are looking to step up thier gaming into something requiring a bit more...well, hell how do I say this without pissing off a certain gaming group off?? Well you guys know what I zerg I'm sure.

I'd love to hear exactly what charge that would be? This out of the penal code, vehicle code, health and safety or what? Just say'n.

I am curious about this as well. With the new spotting etc I would thinking use of AT guns etc would be a bit more useful, especially if you could reposition some. I recall the days of CMBB where you were lucky to take out one unit before the rest would borglike zone in on you with heaps of HE which made them a bit hard to use.

Damn it, feels like basic all over again. You'd have one telling you to run over to him and do some pushups as punishment for being born and the other one telling you to come over and explain what you are doing running somewhere to do pushups. Yep, I waltzed in there for a quick look around and between some of the guys playing themselves off as extras in a King Henry V play and others who have dubious levels of sentience, I barely escaped with my sanity intact.

Reminds me of the Total War series where they used it to do battles...History Channel maybe? May have been the Rome series. That'd be nice to show off the game engine.

Yep, welcome aboard. I too have recently started posting myself in anticipation of the game after a long time lurking. Good group of peeps here from what I've seen and most are pretty happy to answer questions. Just don't ask when the game is gonna be released, it always seems to cause a link to a group of old british farts moaning about the end of the world or something or other.
