  1. I'm betting it will occurr sometime after I post this and hopefully before the end of 2012.
  2. Nice trip down memory lane and the future looks good too. Thanks for the vid.
  3. Riiiiiiight. Well good luck with that. You should try suing that tornando yesterday while you're at it too.
  4. This is an attempt at humor, right? Please, please tell me yes.
  5. Better than nothing but crickets chirping in the background.
  6. Yes, written sort of like the guy that does the 8 out of 8 reviews but I still liked it.
  7. This thread is starting to sound a lot like The Stig's intro. Some say....
  8. Pardon us for being excited about the game.
  9. I've been to Europe to include France, Germany, Holland etc and I can say that most of the older homes there are built MUCH more differently than modern homes are when it comes to space considerations. They weren't worried about what wall to hang that 62" LCD TV tbh back then. Space is at a premium over there from what I have seen so finding a room big enough to fire one of those things over there was probably not very common which would lead to what BFC has decided to make the decision on. As others have said could and did it happen, more than likely. If we are allowed to fire one out of every building in the game if we are given the chance...I'm gonna say yes, never mind the fact how uncommon it was. I think BF made the right decision given what resources they had. Whining about it isn't going to change their minds either but go ahead...reading how credit cards are gonna lead to WW3 is a decent way to pass time till game release.
  10. Well read most of it, skipped the editor section but very well put together with nice some touches of humor. Thanks for tossing a bone guys, its appreciated.
  11. I would say it depends strongly on the situation and what you're facing. As for SOP I have no idea how the various armies viewed the use of halftracks or personel carriers in battle in WW2.
  12. Wow, it's been a while where I looked forward to upcoming work just in order to get the week behind me.
  13. I like it to be as realistic as possible all things considered that it is still a game. In other words if you're a company commander you'll be told what the overall plan is and how you are expected to fit into this plan with your forces. They aren't going to tell you exactly how your forces are expected to do this as that's up to you but they (higher HQ) will for the most part assign the proper force to get the job done based on what intel they have. The sticky part to all of this is exactly what intel they have and how smart are the guys assigning units to get the job done. One would assume that in a fast moving type battle that it may be pretty sketchy as units from all over the place may be bumping into each other. A protracted slugging match is probably gonna be pretty reliable info with maybe a fresh surprise every now and then as units are rotated. In this I would assume the Allies probably had better intel due to air superiority and could see units being moved around in the rear but there are so many other variables that make up that thing called 'intel' that for briefing purposes I'd say almost anything goes. In other words I think it's all in how its written with background info being important to explain the situation. The more tied into history the less freedom you have of course as well but that's self explantory I'd say.
  14. I've learned as a PC gamer that the only time a game I want to play has been released is when I am sitting at my PC and am actively playing it. Until then this game is for all intents and purposes about the same as vaporware from my perspective.
  15. Cool, it's good to know that so thanks for the heads up. I've seen a lot of posters with beta titles and other long term guys/posters that I vaguely recall from a long time ago as well but tbh I don't have exactly what I'd call a concrete knowledge of the BF CoC other than that Steve guy who seems to run the shop. Press copies going out I would think would be a good thing regarding release timeframes though.
  16. It's not missing, he just can't carry that and a weapon at the same time as of that moment.
  17. Ditto. I played CM when it first came out way back and fell in love with it and played all that came after it with BB being my favorite. I also have PC and ToW and while they are enjoyable in their own ways nothing has come close to the WEGO orginal imo. I also tried CMSF and while the improvements are superb I was just never able to get into it for the reason ClarkWGriswold has lined out. Looking at CMBN which returns to its roots and gets a facelift is something I've been waiting for a looooooong time to come. I eagerly look to the east already It's gonna be fun filling those empty CD holders
  18. Not sure where to post since there seems to be 2 threads working with the vid's but seeing the 3rd got the official hook up here this is where I'll again say thanks for the work you're putting into these tyrspawn. Appreciate the time you're putting into these as well as making an effort to answer questions that you can...although I suspect many of us at this time would be more than happy to errr playtest examples for the masses.
  19. Wow, excellent stuff. I definitely had a couple 'oh crap' moments watching the video. Only beef I had with the vid was that in several instances I couldn't hear any commentary due to the bombardments...but man, that incoming arty is something else. I can begin to understand what they meant by shell shock. Some very nice examples of the close up fighting as well. Thanks again for another awesome installment.
  20. Naw, was just hoping for clarification...but they are to wiley for that Just killing time, thanks to those Anonymous clowns I can't even log onto the PS3 network to get some Black Ops action in to do that. I did notice the Part 3 vid is up now though so there goes another hour
