  1. - Stronger Focus on the tactical perspective of the game (it is shown already, but could be more focused on in my opinion) - Stronger Focus on showing equipment of the units in Shock Force 2 - Better visual composition of the shown pictures from an artistic perspective - Cut out unnecessary material
  2. I am happy to see some video from Shock Force 2, no doubt, but the video is terrible. 11 Seconds of logos as an intro, and then 17 Seconds of plain desert, only with some bland utility poles in the background? Thats nearly 30 seconds of nothing interesting to see right at the beginning, before we see the first something, a river, some green and buildings, and oh! Some foxholes and tranches. First Infantry at 36 seconds, finally something mildly interesting to see. 1:41 why show this Abrams waiting? What is the point of this? They are advancing, so show them advancing. Everything between 1:41 and 2:06 is useless. Thats 25 seconds, completely pointless. The combat footage is okay, but could be a bit shortened in some parts. Composition and structure of the pictures could be better, with a stronger focus on the tactics. In the end, this trailer is interesting for customers, who already decided to buy CMSF2 like me. For other people it might be even a turn off signal that this game is not for them. If I would want to convince a friend to buy the game, even if he is interested in the topic of realistic combat tactic games, I am not sure if I would be able to do it with that showcase video.
  3. I think they probably don´t know exactly themselves, when the problem will be fixed, because it might be difficult to estimate, whatever it is, and they hope, that they will be still on time. You are right, a more open communication might be more professional, but it is not a big deal in my opinion. I am confident they are working eagerly on the issue, and that pushing them will not help to fix the problem.
  4. There is no use to push for the release of the game. Battlefront is not holding the release back to push their fans into anger, they have their reason to release the game on the best date possible. Waiting is the most convinient option.
  5. Yes, I think it is not just about these features, but about the very asymmetrical warfare. You have a very modern army clashing onto a unconventional force. This is very interesting.
  6. Ah, haven´t seen that. But my question was already answerde by @Mord with a picture of evidence. There are Syrian onmap mortars available. That the list isn´t complete yet, let to my confusion, but it is just the list, so I am fine.
  7. I paid for all three modules in the bundle at once and this purchase is still visible in the history of my profile, yes.
  8. Nope, it is definetely missing. Listed are different weapons, not teams in an organization structure. Take a look:
  9. Ah, yes. I have seen this picture before. How could I forget about it. What a relieve. Glad to see these Syrian mortar. In this case, the TO&E on the Website is missing them
  10. I have taken a look at the TO&E: https://www.battlefront.com/shock-force-2/cmsf2-base-game/?tab=toe There are no onmap Mortars available for red forces, why? It would be a great goal for a small mission to take out a unconventional forces mortar in some backyard. What about the M1937 82mm mortar? Isn´t available for onmap purposes? It would be great for regualr and unconventional forces. Blue forces have three kinds of onmap mortars: M121 120mm mortar M252 81mm mortar M224 60mm mortar and red none?
  11. I bought the physical version of Combat Mission: Shock Force by Paradox on Amazon (which was my first Combat Mission game), and bought the 3 Modules Bundle afterwards here on the website in 2012. I would like to upgrade as well, but of course, my purchase of the base game is not listed in the Battlefront system. One of the reasons why I didn´t played SF anymore was indeed the difference in the engine ability compared to the newer games. I bugged me to have syrian crews with Makarov pistols in the inventory, but their model was showing an AKM. Or that there were no onmap Mortars. Or that there were no teams of specialists in the editor. I am very happy, that Shock Force was updated, and I hope I will be able to update my version, even if it was the phyiscal one by Paradox.
  12. Sure, the MAN gl series is also very common, but I assume you would less likely find them on the battlefield in the scope of combat mission compared to the Zwo-Tonner.
  13. For Germany it is the lkw 2t tmil gl unimog (u1300L), called "Zwo-Tonner"
  14. Oh yes, I would love this one. I don´t know a game which does have a better ability to show this kind of combat than combat mission. But I fear we will never see a Combat Mission Fulda Gap.
  15. Really? What makes it so much better than the WW2 parts?
  16. I think a destroyed german fighter plane would be a great addition as a flavour object. They could be a great addiont for atmosphere. For example for some bigger battlefield with some destroyed plane on it. It gives you the feeling that the war is bigger in scale, that you are not the only one and that there is more going on. It makes planes visible in some way. It makes also for a much more convenient airfield, which you have to defend as german forces, or have to attack as allied forces, or counterattack as a german again. But this might be more interesting for CMBN. Caen – Carpiquet Airport or Reims – Champagne Air Base, if you want to have a historic example. It could also make an interesting goal for smaller missions to reach this plane, just to have some more interesting goals in a mission. About the edges of the map. That is true. I like to create big maps where the starting zones are in the corners and there is a lot of room to maneuver. This makes the way to the edge of the map much more far away. A longer way on your attack means that you are more vulnerable for a longer time.
  17. Thank you, that was very helpful I think I already found the V3.0 code. EDIT: Okay, Battlefrond now has another 130$ from my pocket. Hope they will use it to make an 80s WW3 scenario at some time in the future... just a dream...
  18. Ah, okay. This is a big difference. I only own CMBN (And Shock Force) right now. So I have to buy only the CMBN 4.0 Upgrade? Thats affordable. Thank you. It might be a bit complicated to find the activation code for CMBN of course. It is updated to 3.0 Will I need to have the 3.0 key then? Or the old original key for the 1.0 version?
  19. Hello. I own Combat Mission Shock Force with all upgrades and Combat Mission Battle for Normandy with the 2.0 and the Commenwealth upgrade for some years now. I want to buy Combat Mission Red Thunder and Final Blitzkrieg and bring CMBN, CMRT and CMFB up to the new 4.0 Engine. It seems this requires a 3.0 Engine upgrade too. There is a bundle for the 4.0 upgrade: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage_bfc&product_id=604&category_id=38&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26 But I can´t find the 3.0 upgrade in the shop: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=38&Itemid=26 I would prefer a bundle for this too, I don´t want to buy 15$ for every upgrade of 3 games, which will cost 45$ only to be able to use a bundle upgrade which costs 25$ on top of it. And will the 3.0 upgrade require a 2.0 upgrade for the CMRT and CMFB version which I want to buy new too? I can´t even find 2.0 upgrades, similar to the 3.0 upgrade for CMRT and CMFB. Where do I get this if it is required? This will costs hundreds of Dollars in the end, what is the cheapest way to get it, or how can I get it at all? Some required upgrades are not available in the store. I also think about buying CMBS, but this is getting a bit expensive here all together... EDIT: I have seen I bought the CMBN 3.0 Upgrade a while ago.
  20. Maybe there is no Serbia but Yugoslavia in the costumer accounts by the reason there was a Yugoslavia back in the time frame of Normandy 1944. So, maybe Battlefront only used this old maps...
  21. I also look for an opponant for Red Thunder. Would be great to play some H2H battles
  22. This leads me to another question. What is the XO-Unit in the german companies? Is this the "Spieß" with its "Geschäftszimmersoldaten"? The Spieß or "Kompaniefeldwebel", also known as "Mother of the Company". In the Wehrmacht it wasn´t the "Kompaniefeldwebel" but known as "Hauptfeldwebel" (don´t mix this with the same named rank in the modern german army "Hauptfeldwebel", in the bundeswehr). Because I don´t know what else this XO else could be in the german army. There is no executive officer at all. The "Spieß" or one of the platoon-leaders are in this role. So I think the XO must be the Spieß, what else could it be? I don´t know if its possible to translate it, but there is a pun about the "Spieß" in the german army: "Wenn ihr Sexleben im Dienst zu kurz kommt, einfach mal den Spieß umdrehen."
