  1. For independent Houses I choose a field in the open and place all 16 independet Houses there in the same row as they are listed in the editor. Now i look which house I want for my map and choose the right one to place it at the same place. The on map gallery stay at there place till the map is finished.
  2. lol LongLeftFlank, and just in the minute of the german invasion the british troops are disabled by teatime... I only think an operation Seelöwe is incredible if germany still fight against stalins troops. But sure, this battle would not be historical accurate. Could be a lot of fun anyway.
  3. The battle of Britain in 1940/41 was one of the biggest air battles in history. Germany tries to beat the british airforce. A preparation to the operation Seelöwe, the invasion of England. England won this battle, but during the war, germany never loses their interest in the operation Seelöwe. Even in 1944 there were official orders regarding this operation. Wouldn´t it be nice to see a fictional operation Seelöwe campaign in CMBN:CW, so see german forces in an active role and not as the defenders? So, mostly accourate would be a campaign in 1940, as later it gets, as difficult it will be seen by the german position. But on the other Hand the game simulates the invasion on the Normandy 1944, with often different weapons and vehicles than in 1940. At first I thought about summer 1943 because in the earlyer years germany had more rescoures and the preparations about D-Day, so earlyer would be more historical accourate than later years. I tried some tests in the editor about the equipment of the coreforces, but sadly they are different all the time you import them. Exspecially the Surmgewehr44 is a problem if you want to make a 1943 Seelöwe campaign. But even an early 1944 seelöwe invasion could be interesting with all the allied defenders waiting for D-Day on the British islands. Maybe there would be seelöwe during the later years if the germans don´t had so many troubles with their eastern front. So without their desaster on Stalingrad or the heavy loses in Kursk they maybe would return and take a step back on england.
  4. shouldn't the 20mm Flak38 not also be able to fight against aircrafts? I mean it is used in so many vehicles, the Sd.Kfz. 222, Sd.Kfz. 250/9, Sd.Kfz 234/1 and even the lynx. Does they lost their aa ability or what? Does they have the wrong sight for this? Im not sure.

The on Map Flak36 is found under: German Army: Infantry --> Flak Battery [heavy] German Army: Armored Infantry --> Flak Battery [heavy] German Army: Armor --> Flak Battery [heavy] Waffen SS: Armored Infantry --> Flak Battery [heavy] Waffen SS: Armor --> Flak Battery [heavy] Luftwaffe: Infantry --> Flak Battery [heavy] The off Map Flak36 is found under: German Army: Artillery --> Flak Battery Waffen SS: Artillery --> Flak Battery Luftwaffe: Artillery --> Flak Battery The 88mm Flak36 is a heavy strategic Flak against heavy bombers, there is no response on tactical light fighter bombers as they are used in close air support. The Flak36 is a way to slow for this fast airplanes. You would need some 20, 37 or 40mm Flak instead. The MG34 on tripod and the mg MG42 on tripod should also be able to fight agaist lower planes, but I´ve never seen them fire against some. So the Flak36 don´t attack airplanes.
  6. Oh, you are right. See that now. In this case akd was right and the explosion from the gun must be a regular shoot fired due the explosion. He must be the gunner of this tank. Yeah, its incredible he survived this and run away. And I also never seen a tank fire because it is hit by some rocket.
  7. ...text changed every 30 seconds Sounds possible, exspecially the recoil. On my theory there should be no recoil if the chamber is open to reload the gun. Its not easy to spot the recoil, and I am not really sure if there is recoil or the gun is only moving due the hidden hydraulic. I´m also not sure why the tank should shoot in exact this moment as it is hit. In my opinion to fast for human reflexes, so I don´t think the gunner shoot the gun unintentional. More a technical issue. (it is the same moment as we can see on the black cloud came out of the barrel during the hit, seen on Sergei´s picture) I´m not convinced, but If it is true and the tank trigger a regular shoot during closed chamber you could be right. In this case we can´t say much about the power of the first explosion and it could be possible for a crewmember to escape trought the hatch of the turret during the ammunintion burns up. Possible. If this is the case, we already have two incredible facts: frist, the Tank itself (not a crewmember) shoot accidentally by hit and second crewmember survived by trown out of the turret by a fire fontain.
  8. But how could the survive this? The Tank does not fire during the same second it got hit, we can see the power of the explosion through the barrel of the gun coming from the inside. There is no other way. All crewmembers inside the turret must be ketchup after this explosion. How can he be ketchup at 0:06 but be catapulted out in one piece at 0:13?
  9. exactly... Seems legit, this large fireball also confuses me a bit, because a APFSDS don´t explode. I thought this could be the exploding cartridge through a hole in the hull due the penetration. But its a bit to large for this kind of hole. And I also can´t see ERA. I think you are right, it looks like this rocket. Even if there are rebel tanks with the possibility of tank on tank fights, an ATMG is more probabilistic. But doesn't matter if it is a APFSDS or an RPG-29, we can say this running guy is not a tanker. The crew must died in the second of penetration. This man survived because he is outsinde, an armor workes in both directions. It can protect the crew from explosions coming from the outside, but on the other hand it can also protect someone outside from the explosion inside. Maybe battlefront should edit this in the game? Exspecially the shermans in CMBN? Are explosions inside a tank so lethal to people around the vehicle?
  10. Sad, i don´t own CM:A or FI. I own all three shock force addons, version 1.32 but CMBN would be more awesome. USA against Germany, sounds like fun. Wasn´t there a way to install more than one version on one computer? The landscape around Wiesbaden is beautiful, exspecially the valley of the Rhein in the north-west (Rheintal). And I have a friend who lives near Landstuhl, in Otterberg.

  12. He can´t be a survivor out of the turret. As you see from left behind, at 5 o clock position an APFSDS Projectile hit the tank in the lower hull of the turret or the glacis plate, right there where this vehicle store its ammunition. I think it is an APFSDS because it is much more thinner than the 125mm cannon of the tanks, have no highlights like the dropshape of an rpg or something and is very long for its shape. Its to thin for a shaped charge. The APFSDS penetrates and it seems the first cartridge in the tank explode immediately through this kinetic impact. The projectile itself don´t explode, its not a HE-Grenade. The explosion of this cartridge is not only seen around the turret, its also seen through the barrel of the gun. If there comes an explosion like this out of the gun, it means this explosion comes from the inside of this tank. Exactly where the crewmans sits. They are toast... burned toast, no doubt. The guy with the poor arm who is running away don´t comes out of this vehicle, because he could not survive it, he must stay next to it on the left side of the tank. He also can´t be the driver, because the driver sits in the front. The driver could not fall in the position left behind this vehicle, nor couldn´t he get out of the tank without seen in this video. The armor of the tank workes like a shield for him, keeped the explosion inside and leads its up in the air and to the front out of the barrel. But inside the tank, there is hell. After a few seconds the rest of the ammonition is heated up and burns out in a massive jet of flame. The three man crew was already dead in the moment of impact.
  13. Soviet Infantry don´t have personal anti tank weapons like panzerfausts, panzerschrecks or bazookas. So, they neary can´t harm tanks expect they can throw some Molotov cocktail at extrem short distances or use anti-tank rifles for less armored vehicles. Or some other unit must do this job. T-34, IL-2, Katyusha, AT-Gun...

  15. Thanks z1812. The german AI path is finished now. Time for a little break at the centre of Durrelôn. As long as the allied troops don´t have their AI plan, the Landers have nothig to worried about. So, its time to take a seat and relax.

  17. Thank you both. But i´ve never been there. I know Paris and Bordeaux, but not the Normandy. I still work on the AI-Plan. Its not easy to coordinate the troops, find the right timing. They seem to fight how they want to, and its worse to do this without any kind of a trigger option.
  18. Hi there. At the moment I create a medium scaled map called Durrelôn. Its a fictional scenario about a town, hold by the germans during the days of Saint-Lô. The map is made to be played human vs human, but there will be AI-plans for both sides, even it is not easy to make good plans for such a big map. The idea was to create an semi-urban fight with an ocillate front line. So, german start as a defender with nearly 1/4 of their troops, while the US forces does have more firepower in the beginning. So, the Wehrmacht can´t beat the american attack coming from the north. The allied will be able to form a bridgehead in the town, and in this phase the germans must start a counter attack with their reinforcements, during the allies get their own reinforcements. They are not coming all in the same time, its more a continuous droping all 5 till 15 minutes. So I hope there will be an ongoing battle with a lot of attacks and counterattacks in the city. At the moment I work on the AI-plans and the briefing. There will be a english and an german version of the map. The americans will assault with tanks and mechanised from the village of La Ruedye and with infanterie from a forest near a farm called Briselle. They are seperatet by a heavy forest, so the tanks can not support the infantry at Briselle, while they can walk through the hinterland at La Ruedye. As you can see on the overview. So, my idea was also, to make a bad weather cloud on the nothern atlantic and the british islands. So the allies can´t use their airplanes while the germans have one. The germans also have more vehicles, but the allies can counter with a lot of bazookas. Sure, this weapon can´t fired out ouf buildings, but urban areas are no places for panzers. The centre of Durrelôn is dominated by an old townhall, a church with a graveyard and the Marketplace. In the north are some homes, and there is a hospital in the west. In the south we have a little industrial area, like the warehouses or a destroyed concrete plant. There is a LOS from the corner of a cornfield in the south of a sandhill near the destroyed concrete plant trough the whole town to a small bridge at the forest in the north. This divides Durrelôn in a western and a smaler eastern part. Except the forest in the northeast Durrelôn is surrounded by fields like this at the Martin´s Farm, or this view from the southwest to the warehouses.
  19. Silly question, but... where can I find the kingtiger? I am new in CMBN:CW. I don´t find the kingtiger in the editor. Am I blind?
  20. Ahh... Barbed wire. Nice to know. What kind of barbed wire? The rolled ones, found in the unit section as military barbed wire, or the fieldborders, found in the editor like the hedges and the stonewalls? I use both kinds of wires, which one should I delete?
  21. What are wires? Do you mean the cablepole flavorobject with the hanging wires or what? I does make a szenario at the moment and it would be nice to know.
  22. No response. I feel stupid. Why doesn't it work? Nothing happens in the 2D editor with ctrl+shift+left click, alt+ctrl+left click, alt+shift+left click... even combinations with tab or caps doesn´t change anything. right click delete the building. In the 3D editor ctrl+shift+left click change the balcony, alt+control+ left click change the walls. Also only ctrl. only shift change the wallcolors... its da damn mystery!
